Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz during an appearance on Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on New York AM 970 radio equated the Democrats’ obsession with impeaching President Donald Trump to the KGB under former Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin. Dershowitz argued that the Democrats are “making up crimes” and weaponizing impeachment against Trump.“Whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, whether you’re from New York or the middle of the country, you should be frightened by efforts to try

Republican Congressman Peter King announced Monday morning he will not seek re-election in New York's 2nd Congressional District. "I have decided not to be a candidate for re-election to Congress in 2020. I made this decision after much discussion with my wife Rosemary; my son Sean; and my daughter Erin. The prime reason for my decision was that after 28 years of spending 4 days a week in Washington, D.C., it is time to end the weekly commute and be home in Seaford," King wrote on his Facebook page. "This was not an easy decision. But there is a season for everything and Rosemary and I decided that,

For a variety of reasons, the 2020 election is going to be a referendum beyond Donald Trump’s record and his Democratic opposition. The furor that Trump has incurred, and the radical antithesis to his agenda and first term, have redefined the looming election. It is becoming a stark choice between a revolutionary future versus American traditionalism. The choice in reductionist terms will be one between a growing, statist Panopticon, fueled by social media, a media-progressive nexus, and an electronic posse. On Saturday, San Francisco voters elected the son of two former Weather Underground murderers to serve as their District Attorney. The voters deserve all the hell that is about to break loose. Progressive candidate Chesa Boudin wants to free criminals but prosecute police and ICE agents for doing their jobs. It's no surprise Boudin hates cops so much. His parents did, too. Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert were terrorists in the Weather Underground who murdered two police officers and a security guard during a 1981 robbery of a Brinks armored security car outside New York City.

It seems ludicrous that in an open society, a president could be impeached and possibly removed through a process that begins with a report by a bureaucrat whose identity is never formally revealed and who is immune from examination. After all, the impeachment process is an attempt to override the decision of the electorate as to who shall be president. It should not be undertaken, and certainly not consummated, without the fullest, most open process, including the possibility of investigating the origins of the process.

Universities in America have finally accomplished convincing young adults to abandon the most successful and free form of government in favor of a system that has a historical failure rate of 100%. It is a sobering reminder of how successful the propaganda of the leftist media and higher education system has been when one realizes that socialism is viewed by nearly half of the millions of young Americans as a sociable way of life — a better way of life where they feel people work together for the good of everyone, where the wealth generated by the sweat of the worker...

We’d been married the month before and were working together on the Wall Street Journal’s editorial page in Europe. I looked up from my desk as Amity did something unusual. She closed the door behind her. Then she turned and announced, in a loud whisper, “It’s over.”The 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall takes me back 31 years — to an afternoon in the summer of 1988,

The legal questioning from Mr. Biden, who at the time was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and running the confirmation hearings, was aimed at Justice Thomas‘ views on Roe v. When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the Democrats would launch an “official impeachment inquiry,” she said this action had been made necessary by a whistleblower complaint concerning a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Madam Speaker used the term “whistleblower” no fewer than eight times in her five-minute statement. Saturday, however, we learned that the anonymous individual whose complaint loomed so large in the speaker’s decision to launch the investigation will not be permitted to testify before Congress. House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), whom Pelosi assigned to lead the inquiry, announced that the whistleblower’s testimony would be “redundant.” Chairman Schiff’s relegation of the whistleblower

The unidentified patients would advise hospital staff that they were there for their "annual clean outs" and were not aware of the procedures they were undergoing, the affidavit states.

Pelosi had just announced the House would, in fact, hold a vote to formalize the impeachment probe and establish parameters for the investigation late last month. The House speaker had argued for weeks such a step wasn’t necessary. Congressional Republicans and members of the administration countered that the White House shouldn’t cooperate because the House never codified the inquiry. “They would much rather discuss process,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., when asked about the GOP demand for a vote. “They can’t defend the president’s conduct.”
