You might have noticed today how former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N, Nikki Haley, has grabbed multiple headlines. Apparently within her new book, the former South Carolina republican – who removed historic monuments and then moved her permanent residence to New York, has outlined Rex Tillerson and John Kelly as stealth insiders working to undermine President Trump and attempting to bring Haley into their clique. This move is so typically Nikki (Snip) She is as predictable as the sunrise. FTA: "Everything about Nikki Haley is opportunistic, political and false. Nikki Haley is the female version of Mitt Romney."A lovely rebuke of the fraud who toppled the first domino in erasing Southern history, and by extension, that of the USA as an independent entity.

I very much wanted to believe in her but never quite trusted her. So who can we trust? And for my record I mean trust to fight for the restoration of our republic to a state recognizable to our founders as what they had in mind.

Haley dumped the Confederate battle flag without the slightest fight. She was raised in an Indian household, and apparently did not grasp the deep cultural and historic significance of that flag for many southerners. People educated outside the south all think that the Civil War "was obviously (only) about slavery", and are completely ignorant of the complex economic issues that had been happening for many years. Simultaneously, the northern industrial states forced up prices in the south for manufactured goods by adding tariffs on European good, financially harming the south, while subsidizing the north. And the north pushed to crush the 'business model' of the agricultural south, heavily dependent on slave labor in that pre-industrial time. Clearly, slavery is and was wrong, but smashing someone's livelihood while raising their costs to live is never going to be popular. There needed to be some sort of a transition period if bloodshed was to be avoided. In any case, the issue was more complex than most think and Haley didn't grasp it either. Her foreigner's cultural tin ear and willingness to jettison white sensibilities without batting an eye, made and makes me distrust her. And yes, I know she isn't actually "a foreigner" but she is pretty much one in SC. Can she earn back some trust? Perhaps, but maybe not, either. Hard in the remaining five years, IMO, but she did a fine job in the UN, no question.

Why allow this nitwit to stage an ersatz impeachment only to see it fail? US Attorney John Durham is running an investigation into the Russia hoax that has been almost airtight. A fragment of information on his activities, however, comes our way via Australian media. Alexander Downer’s meeting with George Papadopoulos at the Kensington Wine Rooms in 2016 played a key role in providing a rationale for an FBI investigation of the Trump campaign, including FISA warrants allowing wiretapping. At the time, Downer was the Australian High Commissioner (ambassador) to the UK, and had been Australia’s foreign minister earlier, a very senior diplomat to be entertaining a young Trump campaign volunteer.(Snip) In an interview with Sky News on Sunday, Mr Downer dodged questions

So The New York Times reported that Joe Biden’s own staff thought the Ukrainian gas company Burisma paying Hunter Biden $83,333/month while his father was Vice President was “unseemly” or “worse” — and they made State Department officials help them do damage control. Joe Biden said he first learned of his son’t activities in Ukraine when the story broke in 2014 (Snip) According to Stephen McIntyre the demand that Ukrainian top prosecutor Viktor Shokin be fired as a condition for IMF loan almost certainly originated with Biden staff. The demand was first announced to Ukrainian prosecutors at a January 19, 2016 meeting with US officials hosted by Eric Ciaramella.

EXCLUSIVE: A newly filed complaint to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) alleges that the whistleblower whose allegations touched off House Democrats' impeachment inquiry may have violated federal law by indirectly soliciting more than a quarter-million dollars from mostly anonymous sources via a GoFundMe page. The complaint, which was filed last week and obtained by Fox News, alleged the donations from roughly 6,000 individuals "clearly constitute" gifts to a current intelligence official that may be restricted because of the employee's official position pursuant to 5 CFR 2635.203 and other statutes. To date, the GoFundMe has raised over $227,000.

Outgoing Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, a Republican, just lost the governor’s house to Democrat Andy Beshear by a slim margin. But President Trump won Kentucky by almost 30 points in 2016. Most reports concluded that Bevin had pursued too conservative a path, even for Kentucky. Many others were quick to tie the election to President Trump, and Trump’s alleged unpopularity among suburban voters, relative to a plain-vanilla establishment Republican.(Snip)Was Bevin problematic because he was too Trumpian? Not at all. Bevin “governed as a classic libertarian chamber of commerce type Republican.” In Enjeti’s words he was a “typical slash and burn corporatist governor in a solidly white working class state.”

The closed-door sessions with Adam Schiff and his Lawfare-contracted legal aide, Daniel Goldman, were pre-planned. The process was designed last year. That’s the choice for people in 13 cities and one county in California that have enacted new zoning codes encouraging or requiring all-electric new construction.
