The immigrants are legal U.S. residents who, because they have not become citizens, face potential deportation for past crimes that were punishable by sentences of a year or more. Barr, overturning long-standing decisions by immigration courts, declared last month that migrants convicted of long-ago crimes could be deported even when their home states had retroactively reduced or erased their sentences.

This came on top of allegations from journalist Ronan Farrow that NBC News killed his reporting on alleged rapist Harvey Weinstein to protect their own in-house sexual abuser, morning anchor Matt Lauer. In case anyone's still wondering why people don't trust the press, this is a pretty good place to start. The USMCA, a change from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), is a bipartisan trade agreement that some think could benefit America’s farmers, ranchers, businesses, and workers.
