House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) issued a statement on Monday condemning President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement and declaring that the “growing climate crisis is the existential threat of our time.”Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had officially notified the United Nations on Monday that the United States was withdrawing from the agreement. The withdrawal will take effect one year from the day Pompeo made the notification.“As noted in his June 1, 2017 remarks, President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because of the unfair economic burden imposed on American workers, businesses, and taxpayers

Pelosi is wrong again, of course, on so many levels, but primarily wrong on what constitutes an Existential Threat. She perhaps doesn't realize that she can never know the true meaning of existent until her means of income is no longer available to her. IOW, when she gets off our payroll. She could lose that position due to the real Existential Threat to the USA. Communism, in all of the forms.

Funny how the U.S. has been reducing Co2 immisions all along without signing the Paris accord. Huh?? Why's that and how is it possible?
It's because the USA is good stewards of the enviornment.

Let's play pretend for a moment. Climate change is taking place, all fixes for this problem require very little pain on anyone, a small amount of money, and no one (government) takes control over the masses by telling them what they can and cannot do. No dem would be interested in dealing with this "problem". It's money and control. Don't kid yourself. And they will not live under all the crap rules they will expect us to.

I can hardly wait for the cooling to get serious. Four months now with almost no sunspots. Many are predicting a solar minimum but not known how bad. It could be very bad (think little ice age). What will the global warming crowd say as the ice sheets start creeping down Canada and the wheat crops start declining.

Hogwash. Entirely fictional.
The ONLY physical manifestations of "the climate crisis" are the fake hysteria in the political classes and the money being wasted on propaganda efforts which are selling this phony crisis.
There is no actual physical thing or event which is an actual manifestation of this "crisis". Has anyone died of from "the rising oceans", the same extremely slow and unchanged in rate for centuries? There are FEWER hurricanes and tornadoes than in the early part of the 20th century. There are no increases of any sort of events which might herald their fake crisis. Just not happening.
There is NO crisis. NOTHING new is happening except political hay being made.

I'm not real clear on exactly what climate crisis she is talking about. Today where I am it is 60°. A year ago on this date it was 75°, the year before that it was 61°, and in 2016 it was 70°. You could say it is colder than the norm. Not unusual to have various temperatures, but nothing to get excited about.

PDJT had two main reasons for withdrawing from Obama's unratified treaty commitment. One was the unfair economic burden imposed on America. The other was the surrender of our national sovereignty in matters of law. When President Trump announced his decision, cases were already being prepared to win court verdicts binding Americans to foreign laws. In other words, "lawfare had been declared" and we have plenty of federal judges who are ready and willing to kick our Constitution to the curb and enforce foreign laws here in the USA.
As to actually reducing pollution, well, the USA is doing far better than most of those parasite countries that saw the Paris Treaty as their meal ticket to Uncle Sam's table. So sorry to disappoint, folks, but you are no longer on the guest list.

Notice 'existential' is this year's go to Demorat word of choice. Everything is 'existential'. The climate is an existential threat, Trump is an existential threat, white people are an existential threat. When you hear that word hold on to your wallet and your freedom.

Pelosi was telling the truth, but climate change should rightly be called nature, as the earth is always changing, and even a San Francisco Democrat can’t do anything effective to stop natural climate change.

Naci, I survived the famine of '75, polution apocylapse of '69, the new Ice Age of the 21st century, the death of the ocenas in '70, Lake Erie on fire, the Ice Age of '81, lower food and increase extreme weather of '72. another Ice Age in '74, elimination of the Ozone in '74, and yet again another Ice Age in '76, the merciless Acid Rain of '80 (boy there were a lot of weather disasters under Carter), another Ice Age in '78, the Great drought of '88, the Indian Ocean swallowing Maleives islands in '88, Greenhouse effect of '88 turning most of us into crispy critters by 2008, the last snowfall in 2008, another famine in 2012, and the Arctic ice free in 2018. I think I can survive another global apocalypse that comes every 2 or 3 years.

The most imminent existential threat facing the world is the catastrophic breakup of the United States due to economic collapse caused either by mounting debt or a nuclear terrorist attack. What are the dums doing about that? I think that’s actually their goal!
