Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who was fired by President Donald Trump in May, misled lawmakers in her testimony she gave as part of House Democrats’ impeachment probe, according to a report. Yovanovitch testified behind closed doors on October 11 that in mid-August, a Democrat House Foreign Affairs Committee staffer had reached out to her on her personal email with a request to come and talk to the committee about the circumstances of her departure. She claimed that she received the email and alerted the State Department.

Good thing for her she isn't a Republican. Crimes like perjury are taken seriously when committed by Republicans.

So what's the big deal? The big deal is that ALL these witnesses, ambassadors, bureaucrats, know that they can say whatever they have been told to say under oath and then they can disremember and walk away. Mr. Barr, put a BUNCH of them in jail for more than a month. Make the next BUNCH think twice. That's the big deal.

So, according to Zelensky, this U.S. ambassador, presented him with a list of people he should not investigate. I'll presume she thought, she'd play this guy in a similar fashion as Comey tried to do early in the Trump administration. So, she was not helping, and possibly interfering in the Ukraine President's main campaign issue, which was fighting the corruption. And, I have to wonder about all of those Obama administration folks who were using "personal" phones to conduct official, and unofficial, business. Many of them would have a record of the phone purchase, phone bills that list all those they called, which also includes dates and times, that can be tracked against official calls, emails, or communications being sent/received.

Don’t worry the Democrats will give her the opportunity to revise and extend her remarks, a privilege that they would never give a Republican. That lady was a US Ambassador, as will all such Ambassadors, she served in that position at the pleasure of the President, to advance the US foreign policy that was set by the President and his Administration. Once it came to pass that the President lost confidence in her ability to carry out his policies, the President has the constitutional authority to fire her, or to relieve her and return her to her employing agency in this case the Department of State. The fact that a Republican President relieved a Democrat Ambassador of her duties is not an impeachable offense.

The always-colorful Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana is among the Republicans who say Democrats are being unfair to President Trump by limiting the witnesses they may call and by selectively leaking portions of the testimony they've heard privately, before releasing transcripts pertaining to Trump's Ukraine dealings. Public hearings in the impeachment inquiry begin Wednesday, and Kennedy said he'll be listening to what transpires in the House intelligence committee: "If you try to assess how a trial is going for a defendant, you don't just listen to the lawyers' opening statements and you don't just read the transcript," Kennedy told CBS's "Face the Nation."

Parents are speaking out against an influx of pro-LGBTQ children’s books in public schools in Virginia’s Loudoun County, according to the Washington Post. The books in question, promoting same-sex marriages and same-sex adoption, have been appearing in elementary schools and high schools throughout Northern Virginia. Many parents have called it “sexual propaganda” and “a political agenda.” The Loudoun County School Board flipped from red to blue in last week’s elections, as Democrats made gains all across the state of Virginia. The subsequent implementation of such pro-LGBTQ material is indicative of the Democratic Party’s shift further to the Left on social issues, which is now encroaching on the education system.

There is a striking symmetry between the charge that Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia to sway the outcome of the election and the Democrats’ current effort to impeach President Trump. Both involve our relations with countries that Americans do not think of very often, but over which the elites obsess. The rhetoric in each case is crafted carefully to turn conservatives’ patriotic instincts jiu jitsu-style against the president. And both cases feature overwrought rhetoric that transforms the ordinary and the unremarkable into “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The official Russian interference story became more grim in the retelling.

A rabbi once said that one of the reasons why Jews have prospered despite being the most persecuted people on the planet is that Jews never view themselves as victims. This powerful truth hit me like a ton of bricks. From as far back as I can remember, Democrats have deceived blacks by drilling the lie into their heads that they are victims of eternally racist America. Insidiously, Democrats continue to sell blacks the lie that America is a hellhole of racism in which Republicans and conservatives are obsessed with conceiving ways to keep blacks down.

Monday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Rep. Gaetz argued such a case would lack what he deemed an “essential element” to meet the standard of bribery. “I would disagree that bribery would be applicable for this reason: For bribery to have been committed, you have to be asking someone to do something that they would not otherwise do with President Zelinsky, who ran an entire campaign on rooting out corruption,” Gaetz said.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has quietly told the Supreme Court that it does not have the legal authority to issue work permits to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) migrants and has effectively invited the court to block the annual award of more than one million work permits to migrants. “If the [judges] make a decision, it would have a huge impact,” said John Miano, a lawyer who is seeking to end two of the many work-permit programs. Mo Brooks (R-AL) gave his thoughts on a claim made by former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley alleging then-White House chief of staff John Kelly and then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson sought to undermine the will of President Donald Trump. Brooks chalked the saga up to “palace intrigue,” which he said was common in presidential administrations, particularly in the Trump administration, given the variety of worldviews Trump has brought into the White House. However, Brooks said where the real threat lies is in “people like” the so-called whistleblower, who Brooks deemed to be a spy for Democrats.

He explained how Democrats and the media will attempt to frame the storylines but added that the recently released transcripts from the closed House Intelligence Committee impeachment hearings last week show the testimony given was “devastating to the Democrats.”

Three leading Democratic presidential candidates recently endorsed a new policy regarding U.S. military aid to Israel: It should be conditioned on Israel embracing policies toward the Palestinians favored by American progressives. At the J Street conference last week, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) demanded that Israel "fundamentally change" its approach to terrorist-controlled Gaza, adding, "I think it is fair to say that some [U.S. military aid to Israel] should go right now into humanitarian aid in Gaza." Israeli officials believe such moves would enable Hamas to import more weapons and lead to another war. South Bend, Ind., mayor Pete Buttigieg called for cutting aid if Israel annexes the West Bank,

The codes, most of them passed since June, are meant to keep builders from running natural gas lines to new homes and apartments, with an eye toward creating fewer legacy gas hookups as the nation shifts to carbon-neutral energy sources. For proponents, it's a change that must be made to fight climate change. For natural gas companies, it's a threat to their
