Police officer who arrested El Chapo’s
son killed in hail of more than 150 bullets

An officer believed to have been involved in the arrest of the son of Joaquin 'el Chapo' Guzman has been murdered in Sinaloa, the state in the grip of the drug lord’s cartel. CCTV from the scene shows a group of armed men jumping out of a car and firing on a neighbouring vehicle at a strip mall in Culiacan – discharging more than 150 rounds in a matter of seconds before speeding away. The officer was part of an elite group of state police assigned as an escort to undersecretary of public security for the region in Mexico.

Comments:

When this Mexican "elite" group of police caught Guzman's son, they did not prepare for the instant retaliation of his minnions. They forced the son to be released, and now in broad daylight, they execute one of the main members of the original capturing force. President Trump is correct in wanting to keep these animals out of here with the Wall. Mexico experienced more than just embarrassment. This showed who really runs all or their own parts of the country.

So with this kind of narco-terrorism on our southern border, tell me again why we're worrying about tribes of Kurds and Muslims in Syria and Turkey who've been fighting since the dawn of civilization (and will continue long after we're dead).

Starving North Koreans are facing a miserable winter following a poor harvest, experts have warned. The secretive state, which is already facing food shortages, has had a poor crop as a result of drought followed by widespread flooding. Crop analysts from monitoring group Geoglam, using satellite images, say this year's harvest is the smallest in five years, with the so-called "cereal bowl" in the south of the country badly hit. Despite 70% of North Koreans being reliant on rations, which were cut in May, dictator Kim Jong-un continues to plough resources into his nuclear weapons programme. World leaders have placed sanctions on North Korea

Iran is acknowledging for the first time it has an open case before its Revolutionary Court over the 2007 disappearance of a former FBI agent on an unauthorized CIA mission to the country. In a filing to the United Nations, Iran said the case over Robert Levinson was 'on going,' without elaborating, but the development has renewed questions over what happened to him. It wasn't immediately clear how long the case had been open, nor the circumstances by which it started. However, it comes amid a renewed push to find him with an offer of $20 million for information from the Trump administration

The United States on Thursday called for “serious steps” to be taken after Iran resumed uranium enrichment at its underground Fordo plant in a new step back from its commitments under a 2015 nuclear deal. “Iran’s expansion of proliferation-sensitive activities raises concerns that Iran is positioning itself to have the option of a rapid nuclear breakout,” US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement. “It is now time for all nations to reject this regime’s nuclear extortion and take serious steps to increase pressure.” Iran resumed uranium enrichment at its underground Fordo plant south of Tehran on Thursday

As young Americans are losing an understanding of civics and American history, they increasingly embrace socialism. An annual poll conducted for the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation again found that the younger generations have a far sunnier view of socialism and communism than their elders. (Snip) The Soviets, of course, began World War II as an ally of Hitler, only switching “sides” after the Nazis attacked the Soviet Union. Nevertheless, a victory for the Soviet Union without the presence of the United States would have likely begun a new dark age as horrifying as a world under the thumb of Nazi Germany.

A supposed Iranian religious foundation is in fact secretly funding terrorism and spies, such as the recruitment of former Air Force intelligence specialist Monica Witt, who defected to Iran in 2013 with valuable security secrets, a dissident group is claiming in a new report. The Astan-e Quds Razavi (AQR) foundation promotes its work as maintaining Shiite Muslim shrines and promoting the spread of Islam. Iranian state media regularly send out stories on AQR’s benign deeds abroad. But a new report by the National Council of Resistance of Iran contends the foundation actually funds groups such as Lebanese Hezbollah movement, which the U.S. government calls a terrorist organization.
