Trump Derangement Is
Destroying Political Analysis

The last four years of political punditry and analysis have been objectively wretched. Regardless of your feelings about the present political moment, precisely no one can defend the quality of the analysis that dominates the airwaves and pages of our corporate media. They told us throughout the 2016 campaign that the notion of Donald Trump winning the presidency was a joke. The mockery increased as election day drew near. From the Washington Post: “Donald Trump’s chances of winning are approaching zero.” At 10:20 P.M. on election night, The New York Times assured us that “Hillary Clinton has an 85% chance of winning.” They gave Hillary a 95 percent chance of winning Michigan,

Even without TDS "political analysis" by the purveyors of Organized Crime(D) is worthless anyway. TDS only helps expose them for what they are, and always have been - coverup artists for the national Crime(D) Syndicate(D).

I can watch a Trump presser, then I'll listen to the analysts... It's like they watched something completely different.

"Is it surprising that Republican voters support President Trump after he has accomplished much of what they elected him to do" No, it is expected. The difference is that Trump's success drives the Left to personal hatred. When BO won in 2008, Conservatives were disappointed and had low expectations but settled in to see what would happen and got ready to vote again in 2012. Unfortunately, BO was worse than expected and we lost again in 2012. Then we looked, with increased disappointment to 2016. But the Left responds quite differently. Elections are personal to them. Trump winning was a personal affront. It somehow diminished them. They have been trained by dem politicians and perhaps have a nature to respond to emotionally targeted rhetoric. Compared to the Left, "sore losers" are mild mannered. We need to realize, reasoned discourse cannot reach an enraged person. We must respond based on that knowledge. We don't have to be crazy but we need to know we are dealing with crazed people who are capable of doing crazy things. We need to be ready and willing to fight back at all levels.

I'm a huge fan of Mrs. Hemingway, and agree with her comments on the punditry, and so many of the "conservative pundits" have lost most or all of their audience when they succumbed to TDS, too. But, she got the math wrong by a lot. The cumulative probability of independent events if the probabilities mulitplied. So, 95% chance of loss is a 5% chance of win, 93% loss is 7% win chance, and 89% loss probability is 11% win probability. 0.05 times 0.07 times 0.11 equals 0.000385, or 0.0385 % chance, which says much more about the foolish estimates that the leftists had put out there than anything else. Mrs. Hemingway was probably not a math or statistics major, made the "percentage conversion" twice, it would seem. But I still am a big fan. I love this photoshopped image: I wonder if the similarly named OP is Mrs. Hemingway herself? Probably not, but who knows?

NBC, ABC and CBS News have all now appeared to run cover for some of the world’s most powerful rape rings, allegedly killing stories and firing employees who tried to expose the outlets. As three of America’s biggest networks, these outlets have each become embroiled in controversy in 2019 following multiple separate reports that they have played a part in covering up some of the world’s most powerful rape and pedophile rings. The allegations range from killing entire stories outing disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, shutting down an interview detailing accusations against alleged child sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and firing an employee who might have tried to hold an outlet responsible.

Last month, President Trump visited my hometown of Chicago to speak at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference. Sadly, the city’s top cop, Superintendent Eddie Johnson, skipped his event that day in protest. But he, and Chicago’s mayor, Lori Lightfoot, should have attended to hear some hard truths. Trump has been criticizing Chicago leadership since 2016 for allowing the violence to become one of the worst in the world, earning the title in 2015 as America’s mass-shooting capital, and he continued to highlight Chicago’s problems during the conference. In response, Chicago’s mayor suggested Trump focus on his issues in DC, and the liberal press touted

As House Democrats begin the public phase of their impeachment hearings into President Donald Trump this week — over a presidential phone call to Ukraine — I’m forced to use a dirty word. If you melt easily, please cover your eyes and ears, or clutch your pearls and gird yourself. Here comes that dirty word: To a politician, “fairness” is nothing more than a shiv, to be slipped between the ribs with a smile. Politics is never fair. It’s not about who deserves what. Politics is the hand, and government is the club in that hand.

His career presented opportunities he never knew existed, affording him the chance to succeed or fail on his own terms. He traveled the world and quickly learned to appreciate what a great country the United States is. "And it's because of this country we live in -- if you can dream it, you can try it," he told Fox News. "We have it pretty good here. I'm a lucky guy."

A caravan of members of a Mormon offshoot sect crossed into Arizona on Saturday after fleeing Mexico following this week's drug cartel ambush that killed nine Americans. The Arizona Daily Star reported that 18 vehicles carrying about 100 people entered the U.S. via the port of entry in Douglas, Ariz. Bryce Langford, whose mother, Dawna Ray Langford, was one of the women killed Monday, told the Daily Star he was on his way to visit his brother at a hospital in Tucson. He said most of the families are traveling to Phoenix, and others are heading to Tucson. They are not sure where they will settle down in the long term.

Sean Spicer is cruising through “Dancing with the Stars” on two left feet. He’s certainly not surviving on the merits of his dancing, and I’m not sure it’s his natural charm, either. So what’s the deal with Spicey’s surge? It’s Trump, of course. For one thing, the president of the United States has been using his leader-of-the-free-world sized platform to get out the vote. That helps. But it’s also the affiliation. For many, a vote for Spicer is a vote for Trump, and sometimes a vote for Trump is a vote against the haters. Who, exactly, are the haters? The show’s host. The judges. ABC News staffers. The New York Times’

SINGLE-PAYER HEALTH care can work. Government-run systems operate in other industrialized countries and often achieve comparable or better overall results, for less money, than the health-care patchwork in the United States. So why aren’t Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) proposing something that resembles those systems? The two presidential candidates promise far more generous benefits than other countries offer. They pretend that the United States wouldn’t have to make any of the trade-offs other nations have had to make. They promise fantastically generous benefits, no premiums, co-payments or other cost-sharing, and a miraculously low price tag. It’s fiction.

Oxford professor Nicola Gardini urges people to read and study Latin. He believes that Latin is the antidote for the modern age, which seems transfixed by the spontaneous, the easy, and the ephemeral. His new book, Long Live Latin: The Pleasures of a Useless Language, argues that Latin combines truth and beauty with the timelessness of art. People should study Latin for all the reasons people should read literature. In his Confessions, St. Augustine (354–430 C.E.) “placed the learning of Latin under God’s purview,” Gardini writes. Augustine believed Latin drew a child closer to God, “the truest truth.” Gardini argues that Latin contains the logic and precision of math
