PORTLAND, Ore. – Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) reintroduced a bill on Friday that could change the way Americans vote across the United States. Initially introduced by Wyden in 2017, the Vote at Home Act would give eligible voters the option to vote by mail (including via drop-off site), provide pre-paid envelopes to return ballots and would automatically register citizens to vote at DMVs. Under the bill, voters who live in states with in-person, same-day voter registration would still have the option to vote at a polling station. The Vote at Home Act would also send ballots in the mail weeks ahead

Comments:

Ballots delivered on a silver platter. Includes graveside and jail cell voting too no doubt.

We could spend a lot of time going point by point, but let’s look at two supposedly important questions. First every US citizen born in the USA can easily apply for a copy of their birth certificate at the place they were born for a small fee. Derivative US Citizens born abroad to US Citizen parents can also apply for certificates of citizenship from the Department of Homeland Security for a small fee; and second, marriage certificates issued to females across the USA show both the females maiden name and their married name. So what is the problem with all that? Clearly everybody who is registered to vote in the USA should have to prove their US citizenship through documentary means; especially when there are untold numbers of illegal aliens, most using false identities in the USA. Clearly the Democrats do not want any illegal aliens to be deported from the USA, as evidenced that the Democrats have been doing everything possible to allow all illegal aliens to stay in the USA, to be put on a so-called “path to citizenship” and eventually be transformed into future Democrat supporters and voters!

Democrats are starting to see the math and how people leaving places like CA, NY, IL and other reliable D votes to places like TX, FL where the former will be losing Electoral College votes to those Red states, thus, making it harder for them to win the WH again. That is unless the Republicans are stupid enough to "work with their friends across the aisle" for their own demise. As far as "including via drop-off sites", if any of those are a non-secured drop off box that has zero chain of custody the answer is a very loud NO. Any drop off box should only allow 1 ballot to be dropped of in the slot at a time. Should have ATM-style technology that would be date/time stamp and have camera. Ballots should also have to be announced in advance by 90 days prior to first ballot counting so a number will be affixed to those ballots and respective envelop (no envelop and it's provisional until verified). And, the registration rolls should be matched by Social Security number (need to have one as an adult, right) and cross-checked across state lines to ensure all incarcerated, diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer's or other diagnosis where they aren't capable of knowing, dead and those who have moved are properly updated. All address locations should be verifiable as a dwelling not some vacant lot, vehicle parked on a street, abandoned warehouse, etc.

People can already vote by mail if they desire. It is called an Absentee Ballot! Many states now have a no reason needed absentee ballot option. A person only needs to make the slightest effort to REQUEST an absentee ballot. The REQUESTED ballot is then sent to their home (or other specified location). Mandated mail in ballots for everyone for the entire country is too easy to cheat. Also, when is the return/due date? The mail in ballots must be due by close of polls on election day. After that, too bad! After all, you had your ballot at home to leisurely complete for a long period of time and plenty of time to return it before election day.

Don't do it, America! Oregon has been running fraudulent elections since it first used "vote by mail" beginning with the 1998 congressional mid-terms. In that election, a Democrat was declared the victor in the suburban Portland district I lived in by a razor-thin margin. Months later in the spring of 1999, several boxes believed to contain over 500 unopened and untabulated ballots was found in a closet of a government building in Hillsboro, OR. The ballots were destroyed and never counted. It was alleged at the time the margin of victory for the Democrat had widened and thus there was no need to tabulate the ballots. I have never forgotten that incident and will always recount it to anyone peddling "vote by mail" as some kind of panacea to voters. It's not. It's only a panacea for those hellbent on committing fraud.

By all means resist this. It started out as automatic absentee ballots and then morphed into vote by mail. I remember the 2000ekectoon. I was watching tge local news. Florida was put back in play. The once moribund Multnonah Democratic party election party emptied as the call went out to get ballots in at the last minute. Bush was leading and viola' he lost.
