Get ready for several years of even more record-breaking heat that pushes Earth to more deadly, fiery and uncomfortable extremes, two of the world's top weather agencies forecast. There's an 80% chance the world will break another annual temperature record in the next five years, and it's even more probable that the world will again exceed the international temperature threshold set 10 years ago, according to a five-year forecast released Wednesday by the World Meteorological Organization and the U.K. Meteorological Office. “Higher global mean temperatures may sound abstract, but it translates in real life to a higher chance of extreme

What a load of manure. The world is not getting hotter, and weather events are not becoming more "extreme". The AP is wrong and so are the leftists in the UK who call themselves "meteorologists".
However, if the world were to get a few degrees warmer - it certainly isn't happening now - that would be a good thing. No one is going to die in some climate apocalypse. It's nonsense.

Currently, I'm getting ready to turn the heat on in my home because it's 54 degrees outside and raining. We're almost in June and we've had temps in the fifties for highs for about eight days of the last three weeks, and our highs for the other days have all been five degrees cooler than normal. While I'm not a fan of temps in the 90's, it would at least feel like summer is coming if the temps would occasionally get to the low eighties.

Oh, and for those fearing for their life, contact me. I’ll fill you in on how I survived global warming, nuclear winter, global cooling, countless famines and acid rain.

I now live in the Great Lakes upper midwest...we are...and have been...10-20 degrees BELOW norms for the last several years, Currently we are having march weather, and it's nearly June. highs in the upper50's low sixties, only ONE day over 70 this year. AP publishes this today, but....Washington DC is getting 50-60 degree weather and serious rain, storms, cancelling numerous events right now. Some cattle rancher friends out west had record cold/freezes while calving this spring....and snows as recently as last week.

While the temps here in Palm Springs have entered the high 90's and even the low 100's, which is normal, the nearby mountain tops still have snow meaning that it has been cooler this season than is normal. The hysteria from the global warming hoaxers, always after Memorial Day, is as regular and inevitable as the summer solstice.

Just a geological reminder...
There was a time in fairly recent geological time when the oceans were FOUR HUNDRED FEET LOWER than they are right now. There was a time when the Bering Strait was a land bridge... remember?
And here's a news flash...
They did NOT rise 400 feet because of anything anyone did.
Al Gore flips out over a fictional 20 foot rise that can be stopped by spending a sh.. ton of money. What is his explanation for that 400 foot rise?

Didn't Al Gore claim NYC would be under water by now?
Also just noticed that guy who created the "hockey stick" theory lost in Court as they couldn't prove his theory with facts. Had to pay people who he was suing for slander.

This year is starting to look like last year. Cooler temps in Spring, and hotter days summer. The summer before last were rode the crest of a drought. This year and last we had drought, Farmers dumped crops. This year we have maintained drought and farmers are talking about what to do. I live on a mountain, we had record year of hot. In all of it I haven't heard anyone talking about man made climate /weather - just what to plant. What to do with the livestock. ,,, How to stay cool.

During my lifetime (I'm 63), we were all supposed to die from global cooling and a new ice age, running out of oil, acid rain, imminent nuclear war, depletion of the Ozone Layer, rising sea levels flooding cities, sun spots and solar flares, coastal states and islands, drought, global warming, Covid-19, meltdowns from nuclear power plants, pollution from coal, overpopulation, and massive starvation. I am sure I forgot a few. Of course none of these happened because of human innovation and the fact that the predictions were alarmist overkill used to get taxpayer funding and rile up gullible people to do what the government wanted. The Earth and mankind is resilient and always manages to survive just fine.

I’ve lived about 300 feet away from the ocean since the 1980s. I haven’t seen any rise in the ocean since I moved here. I’ve seen beach erosion, some, but that’s because beaches are sandy, not rocky like the rest of this place. The island is about 95% granite, which hasn’t eroded much that I can see, and is stable enough for a population of more than 40,000 souls.
