“I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers (8647) with violence. It never occurred to me, but I oppose violence of any kind, so I took the post down.” ~ Comey “Kill the Boer, kill the farmer,” is a liberation chant and slogan, and it’s not meant to be a message that elicits or calls upon anyone to go and be killed.” ~ Ramaphosa

I guess it is a liberation chant. Unless you're the Boer. This from the folks who brought you the concept of "necklacing." That's where they put a burning tire filled with gasoline around the soon-to-be-deceased-person's neck.

In South Africa, apparently, genocide is just another word for, and form of reparations. The new leaders in South Africa don't see the murder citizens and the confiscation of their property as genocide. It is just correction a past wrong by the White minority now being "corrected" by the Black majority.

With a murder rate 6 times higher than the US, people are justiably afraid. The folks that I have met from SA had to take exceptional care to avoid being a statistic, and occurrence statistics show only murders after these isolation techniques. Civilization goes through periods of history that are much the same as what is going on in SA and some things do not elicit pride. Our many campaigns in the nineteenth century to drive out or wipe out Native American tribes in our quest for gold, railroads, farmland, etc. come to mind. We did it, we don't have to be proud of it. Whether we, the British, the French or the Spanish improved anything is up for argument.

In April, there were 9 Republican mayors in America’s 50 biggest cities. In May, that number fell to 8. Democrats are celebrating Omaha’s mayoral election win as proof that Republicans are out of step with America, when it’s really evidence how the nation’s cities have fallen out of step with America. There was a time when America’s cities were symbols of progress, but they have long since become sinkholes of decline, clinging to a handful of industries that employ a tiny fraction of their population as evidence of their relevance.

Congressional Republicans are the absolute worst, for many reasons, but this time, it has to do with the “big” and “beautiful” tax bill that’s working its way toward Donald Trump’s desk—Republicans, despite holding both houses, as well as the Oval Office, are set to retain hundreds of billions of dollars in Green New Deal provisions, if they get their way.[Snip] Mike Johnson, like the serpent he is, craftily he touted the “$500 billion” in cuts, but ignored the hundreds of billions he and his cohorts retained or worse, expanded:

Illegal aliens are being recruited to join sophisticated criminal networks in the United States that stage accidents and injuries to get payouts through the nation’s personal injury system, House Republicans told Attorney General Pam Bondi.[snip] “These fraudulent schemes pose serious risks to public safety, increase consumer costs, and raise insurance premiums for the motoring public,” the Republicans wrote. “According to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, insurance fraud costs the U.S. $308 billion annually, with $45 billion attributable to property and casualty insurance fraud.
