The executive director of the George W. Bush Institute, who organized a letter from presidential libraries calling for national unity, previously leaked the now-debunked Steele dossier to reporters during (the) height of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.
David Kramer, who worked in the State Department under President George W. Bush and was an associate of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), pushed for the foundations and centers of former presidents to sign a letter about unifying the country.
However, in 2016 Kramer provided the Steele dossier to BuzzFeed, which published it without corroborating its allegations that then-President-elect Donald Trump was a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Doesn't surprise me that the Bush clan is affiliated with that dodgy dossier. Tom Fitton and James O'Keefe could do a lot for the country if they started digging into the elites of the swamp, especially the great grandparents. If not prosecution, then humiliation on the world stage for starters for all of them.

Does David Kramer have lots of money for attorneys?

The Bushes should be ashamed that they turned on all of us who voted for them in good faith.

FTA: “ I stressed to every person I met the sensitivity of the document, the need to verify or refute it, and not to publish it," Kramer said.” Then why distribute it? This has to be one of the most disingenuous statements ever made. It’s like a mean girl telling a piece of juicy gossip with the caveat that it might not be true but she knows it’s just too good not to spread around. These people are not only irresponsible liars they are juvenile pukes while doing it. Furthermore, the fact that Kramer is connected to the Bush family does not surprise me. Birds of a feather. Wasn’t it little George W. who got us into the Iraq war under false pretenses?

Doesn't 'worked for Bush' and 'associate of McCain' say it all?

We the People see everything the Bush Leaguers are doing to maintain the Status Quo and keep the #JihadJunta in power. They love this. The GOP is hopelessly corrupt and is almost as bad as the Demoncrat Party. I want them both gone from power.

One of the biggest disappointments of my life, and after 80 years there have been a few, has been George W. Bush!

The letter says, “Our elected officials must lead by example and govern effectively in ways that deliver for the American people,”
Considering the performance of recent Presidents, this sounds like a ringing endorsement for President Trump.

Beware of those who speak of unity and equality. They do not include themselves. O'Bummer is one of the prime examples.

When they told us that George W. Bush was stupid we should have listened. He turned against the country when little brother "low energy" Jeb was running for POTUS. The Bushies really thought that a trifecta was good for the country. As for McCain, his mind was warped by the Viet Cong so I'm inclined to give him somewhat of a break but not much. War is hell and he has the broken airplanes to prove it.

When you understand Bush and the people who support him (like Bret Baier) it's no surprise. He's as greedy and corrupt as the next one.

We are finding out Bush and the rest of the Republicans are complicit in many of the things the Democrats and the left are doing. Trump had to have kicked a few hornet's nests to get the response he got. We should make sure we know which hornet's nests they are and continue kicking them. Would guess illegal immigration is one. Another is foreign trade. Especially with China. Wouldn't surprise me if there are others.
As for the unity letter, tyranny is unity for these people.

Many years ago, a friend who worked on 'black' missions for the CIA under Reagan and then got entangled in the criminal operations of the CIA, and they tried to shut him up forever warned me about never trusting the Bushes one bit more than the Clintons.
This was in the 1990s and I was really wondering if he had just been given bad data.
Now I discover that 30 years ago, my friend had the correct story. The Bushes are bad folks, and always have been. Unfortunately, they fooled us for far too long.
Never again.

Well...well... so the mccain and bush clan were in on the sabotage of the President Trump's administration...along with crooked Hillary and podesta...her campaign manager...who now is working in the White House....I firmly believe that Hillary will try for one more shot at the presidency.....how she will manage that...I can't imagine because even democrats hate her guts.....does she really think she can steal that many votes....or is she convinced everyone hates President Trump so much ...she will slide in under the bell...

#18 I would not be surprised but I suggest she not do it because her prosecution would be easy to arrange once she is deploying resources, and would be the ultimate shiny object for the use of those whose useful lifetimes are longer than hers.

The big surprise in this story is not that it happened and the Bushes were involved, but that it's all coming to light right now. #14, please don't give John McCain a pass, he was the worst of the whole bunch of reprobates.

Bushies always talk out of both sides of their rear ends.
They are examples of what Cicero was talking about:
...........................................
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to fear.
The traitor is the plague.
