Judge orders Catherine Herridge to reveal
sources for stories on FBI, Chinese American scientist

A federal judge ordered CBS News senior correspondent Catherine Herridge to reveal her sources for a series of stories about the FBI's investigation of a Chinese American scientist back when she worked for Fox News. The order last week from U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper in Washington D.C. comes after scientist Yanping Chen filed a lawsuit against the FBI, claiming that the agency violated the privacy act by improperly leaking information about her. While working at Fox News in 2017, Herridge used a confidential source or sources to obtain material about the federal counterintelligence probe of Chen.

Comments:

Ummm...what's happening here? One would think the entire "press" would be up in arms about this? Just more proof that the majority are Democrat (and maybe at this point, Chinese) operatives.

No wailing and gnashing of teeth from the other presstitudes about the threat to 'democracy'? I always wonder what the left means when they say 'democracy' but I apply the usual formula about their talking points and figure it means the opposite of the actual definition. Orwell was prescient about the use of language to control the masses.

Statute of Limitations? That only applies to Democrats. Heck, in the case of Republicans (and Trump), states like NY pass laws (commonly called "bill of attainers," which are constitutionally illegal, but who cares about that anymore) to remove the statute of limitations to allow lawsuits against the political oppositions. Oh yeah, and that "I don't recall" stuff doesn't work on our side, either. Heck, the Dems can charge you with thought crimes in places like DC federal courts.

Starting to look like DC judges are extreme partisans following a particular scheme. History of DC: The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1801 is an organic act enacted by Congress under Article 1, Section 8 of the United States Constitution that formally placed the District of Columbia under the control of Congress and organized the unincorporated territory within the District into two counties: Washington County to the north and east of the Potomac River and Alexandria County to the west and south; left in place and made no change to the status of the charters of the existing cities of Georgetown and Alexandria; and established a court in each of the new counties,[32] with the common law of both Maryland and Virginia continuing to remain in force within the District.[33] The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 repealed the individual charters of the cities of Washington and Georgetown and established a new territorial government for the whole District of Columbia. Though Congress repealed the territorial government in 1874, the legislation was the first to create a single government for the federal district.[34] The District of Columbia Home Rule Act of 1973 devolved certain congressional powers of the District of Columbia to local government. It enacted the District Charter (also called the Home Rule Charter), furthering District of Columbia home rule.
