Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in the liberal state over a surge of migrants that she says has left social services overwhelmed, calling for more funding and federal action. Healey, a Democrat, announced that a state of emergency exists "due to rapid and unabating increases in the number of families with children and pregnant people — many of them newly arriving migrants and refugees — living within the state but without the means to secure safe shelter in our communities." The state says there are nearly 5,600 families or more than 20,000 people in

Comments:

Libs melt down over 20,000 precious immigrants - including quite a few ''pregnant people''. There are thousands more on the way.

Gee, I didn't realize that Massachusetts was on the Mexican border. That many cross the Texas border every day. And there are some that perish enroute, on both sides of the border. Thanks, Brandon.

I'm sure it seemed so simple to pander to a particular demographic by declaring they were a sanctuary city, county, or state, all so they could look compassionate compared to Republicans who simply wanted an orderly process.

They thought it was OK when just Texas and Arizona were being overrun. They get around 1/10th of 1 percent of the illegals flooding TX and AZ and declare a state of emergency; however, neither NY or MA are pushing the Biden Administration to close the wide-open door. If the border states sent all of their illegals to RI, it would double their population. Just the got-a-ways alone, would overwhelm the criminally hypocritical Blue states in a few months, which is what should happen. Since the left has long glorified sex and drugs, give their constituents all they can handle and then some.

This is the RESULT of "federal action" of opening the borders, and assisting anyone who shows up to enter the USA without the slightest hinderance, and free phones, free transport, free food, free housing.....all that "free" stuff paid for by our taxes, of course.

The liberal States like Taxitshusetts love the migrants (illegal aliens) who they believe will be granted amnesty and be transformed into future leftist and socialist Democrat supporters and voters. Those liberal States and cities just want the federal government to pay all the costs. They will love the migrants (illegal aliens) more when the next U.S. Census comes around with the migrants (illegal aliens) being counted and jacking up the population numbers in those liberal States causing numbers of Congressional Districts and seats to be redistricted to those liberal States where liberal Democrat candidates most likely will win the resulting elections, probably giving the Democrats a permanent majority on into the future in the House of Representatives, resulting in the leftist Democrats attaining permanent control of that body of Congress. What do the wimpy Republicans have to say about all that, duh?

A pair of recent reports on the state of homelessness in Los Angeles seemed to send mixed signals about how the effort to bring people in from the streets is going. The first came was an announcement from Mayor Karen Bass, who said last month that her administration has helped shelter 14,381 unhoused people, largely by focusing on the encampments that have become symbols of this dismaying problem. This represents a major step forward in addressing homelessness, given that Bass pledged to find housing – permanent or interim – for 17,000 people in her first year. So 14,000 in the
