Liz Cheney, Merrick Garland, and President
Abraham Lincoln

Original Article

Posted By: Hermoine, 8/18/2022 9:10:51 AM

As Congresswoman Liz Cheney was being decisively repudiated by the voters of Wyoming (66 percent to 29 percent is a repudiation), her smug Eastern establishment certainty of moral virtue remained intact. However, in describing her situation with the words of Abraham Lincoln, she skewed the historic record. If Lincoln had only garnered 29 percent support in his 1858 U.S. Senate race against Stephen Douglas, he would never have been president.

Comments:

Newt "schools" Cheney and the Left. And, in so doing, he demonstrates that Democrats have never cared about the popular vote or the will/sentiment of the people -- only about power.

Very well written. I know that if Pres. Trump is railroaded by the DOJ and not allowed on the ballot in 2024, I will personally write in his name. We could start that kind of campaign for him. Murkowski somehow won that way in Alaska a while back, so it can be done. Then watch msm and dem (redundant, I know) heads explode! It would be worth it.

Democrats crossed over like mad in the Wyoming Primary. According to the Cowboy State Daily, 94 percent of the Wyoming Primary ballots were Republican. With no crossover votes, Cheney may have lost by at least 3 to 1.

Abraham Lincoln was born dirt poor in a log cabin and worked hard his whole life. Liz Cheney was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and has never worked a day in her life at anything except shopping trips and going on vacations. Please don't compare yourself to him. You are no Abe Lincoln, my dear. Merrick Garland is a buffoon and an anti-Constitutionalist just like Dizzy Lizzy.

Chief Justice John Roberts issued a concurring judgment in the Supreme Court ruling Friday morning that revokes a woman's constitutional right to an abortion. Roberts explicitly sided with his conservative colleagues in their majority opinion to uphold Mississippi's ban on abortions following 15 weeks of pregnancy. However, in his concurring opinion, he expressed a difference in opinion with his colleagues on the matter of overturning the court's decades-old decision in Roe v. Wade, which gives women the constitutional right to abortion.

Grab the popcorn, America, stuff just got really interesting. One of former President Donald Trump’s strongest and most endearing personality traits is his relentless sense of humor. He’s a very funny guy. Depending on the day’s events and available subject matter, a television interview can come across like a sitcom script, sprinkled amongst some profound takes on political topics, and rants at some of his rallies can rival those of some of today’s best stand-up comedians. We’ve had humorous presidents before, with Ronald Reagan quickly coming to mind, but none at the level of Trump. And despite the intense friction in today’s political climate and national tensions having been ratcheted to previously unseen levels after last week’s outrageous Mar-a-Lago Raid,

Just in case you needed yet another reason not to take the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) seriously, this story should suffice. The agency released a study on Friday recommending that people wear face masks, among other measures, to avoid catching monkeypox. The problem? The precautions the CDC suggested do not line up with what the data shows about the spread of the illness. This week’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) contained research on the spread of the monkeypox virus through contaminated surfaces. The study centered on two patients who lived together and had contracted the virus.
