California lawmakers are advancing a bill that would redefine the inability of men to get pregnant as "infertility" and entitle them to insurance-covered fertility treatments. (snip) California Family Council director Greg Burt said: "This bill seeks to further erode the father, mother, and child nuclear family and make everyone in society pay for it to further a make-believe cause named 'fertility equality.' The reason healthy singles and same-sex couples can't reproduce has nothing to do with infertility; it has to do with biology." Evil! Assisted reproduction is evil, per se. It is contrary to God's plan. Assisted reproduction reduces the creation and rearing of children to a matter of animal husbandry. Women are reduced to mere breeding stock. Children are reduced to being products rather than unique humans deserving of dignity. Do people not realize that IVF and "surrogate" pregnancies involve destroying multiple human embryos? I grieve for the children who are deliberately created, to live a life without knowing one or both parents.

"It will ensure that queer couples no longer have to pay more out of pocket to start families than non-queer families. ... This bill is critical to achieving full-lived equality for LGBTQ+ people, as well as advancing well-rounded and comprehensive health care for all Californians." Sister Lucy, the only one of the three Fatima children to live to adulthood, said the final attack would be on the family. Since the 1960's the Left has attacked the family through the nonchalance acceptance of date sex, cohabitation, adultery, no-fault divorce, and abortion. In the 1970's they tugged on the heartstrings of good-hearted Californians about the unfairness of people losing their jobs and apartments only because they were homosexual. We, reluctantly and guardedly, said OK. Some time passed and we were asked to vote on homosexual marriage. When we voted "no", the results were overturned by a judge and our voices were silenced. Now they are proposing that homosexuals be allowed to manufacture their own children. We have had stories posted here on Lucianne of homosexual "married" couples who adopted children, then "shared" them with friends. This is why it is difficult for homosexuals to adopt and probably the reason for this bill; they need to manufacture their own. Another danger for these children is the LGBTQ's obsession with "transgender" surgeries. These manufactured babies will be raised in this toxic environment and will likely be victims of these horrible Mengele inspired butcheries. The hiring of women to be surrogates is slavery. It is the buying of a human body. I have heard the stories of women surrogates and they are heartbreaking. One woman did it as a favor for an infertile friend. She had previously had three children of her own, and misjudged her ability to give away a child she had nurtured in her womb even though it was not of her own DNA. Another previous mother did it for the money because her husband was out of work, and had the same feelings of distress of losing "her" baby. There is also the trauma to the baby because no bonding with the mother is allowed after birth. The baby is whisked away after the cord is cut. The baby goes from the comfort of the womb immediately to the cold, hard world. The commodity has been delivered. The transaction has been completed. Single women, or those in a lesbian relationship, who have been unable to form and maintain a relationship with a man are not capable to raise children to be competent adults. It is hard enough being a single mother, both for the mother and the child. In most cases the separation from the father is a tragedy of some kind, usually divorce. Even if the father is out of the picture, the child knows there is a man who is his father. In the case of IVF the child only knows there is sperm donor, and he is the chosen one of many other frozen embryos still on ice. These real world consequences give proof to the wisdom of the Catholic Church forbidding these practices. This bill was dictated by Screwtape himself from the bowels of Hell. I pray this bill is defeated. May God have mercy on my state.

A narrative that I’ve been hearing for a while, most recently from my children, is the one that posits how much better the GOP would fare in presidential races if only it nominated “moderates.” Never mind that this hypothesis has already been tested numerous times—e.g., during the campaigns of such luminaries as the two Bush presidents, John McCain, Robert Dole, and Mitt Romney. Each time a putative moderate has received the Republican nomination and run for president, the media has pounced on that person with a vengeance, and before long these media targets are made to resemble the Grand Kleagle of the KKK

A recently amended California bill would classify not affirming a child’s gender identity by one or both parents as “child abuse.” AB 957 was introduced into the California legislature by Assemblymember Lori Wilson (D-Suisun City) and state Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco). The bill rewrites much of the state’s family law and classifies “a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity as part of the health, safety, and welfare of the child.” The bill amends Section 3011 of the Family Code, which deals with child custody disputes, and requires that a court determining the “best interests” of the child must consider affirmation of transgender identity.
