A liberal TikToker, who is evidently from the Los Angeles area and posts about her hapless dating life, shared a video Thursday complaining that the only really masculine and chivalrous men out there are conservatives and she can’t seem to figure out why. TikTok user @ms_petch is a self-professed liberal and she longs for a progressive man who is actually, well, a man. Unfortunately for her, she can’t seem to find one.

There is a reason that, since before the time of the emperor Tiberius, treason trials have been a favorite tool of totalitarians. Such proceedings allow them to get rid of nearly anyone they dislike. Successfully brand someone a “traitor,” an “enemy of the state,” and, bang, into the oubliette they go.
I think the treason trial is the appropriate heuristic for what is happening, and what has been happening to Donald Trump ever since 2015 when he descended the escalator.

Throughout most of my life my attitude toward politics has been this: Don’t get involved. People who get wrapped up in politics gain nothing from it and often ruin their own lives. Live life as best as you can, ignore politics, and enjoy the sweet gifts life has to offer with some of God’s plenty. An Interstate-95 overpass in Philadelphia has collapsed after a massive tanker fire underneath.
Video showed the flames shooting up from the road with the collapsed overpass falling to the pavement below. Smoke has filled the area and could be seen from miles away.
The fire started around 6am Sunday between the exit for Academy Road and Cottoman Avenue. That is in the Tacony section of north Philadelphia. Fire crews are working to get the blaze under control, and there is no word on reported injuries.
The highway is closed near the fire.
