Texas is putting up an inflatable wall in the center of the Rio Grande River to create an additional barrier for migrants attempting to illegally enter the U.S.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced the new measure to help quell the southern border crisis.
The 1,000-foot inflatable barrier will be placed in the middle of the river near Eagle Pass, Texas – a highly popular crossing spot for migrants across from Piedras Negras in the state of Coahuila, Mexico.During a press conference Thursday, the Texas governor unveiled a photo rendering of the water-based barrier on buoys in the middle of the Rio Grande River. It's something but it's about several million illegals late. Mediocrity rules the day when the wicked are in power. Good grief, Texas!

How long before somebody notices it missing some morning? Or just punctured and sunk?

I didn't know illegal aliens can't swim under buoys. Finish the wall.

This will be destroyed in 2% of the time it takes to install it. Inflatable anything are very fragile...knife, gun, pointed stick?

Well #5, at the local TX Panhandle diner this noon, this news item came up in discussion. Everyone agreed with you. We are a long way now from the days of Don’t Mess With Texas. Serious protection of Texas should mean gators, a SERIOUS fence and an armed Border Patrol presence 24/7 in numbers such as sex traffickers, child sellers, MX cartels will FEAR.

So, they will have to walk another 1001 feet instead....
Heck, they will likely cut it up and use it for temporary shelter.

Do a gator round up in Florida and rehome them into Texas. It would be lots of fun watching the illegals end up as bait.

Well, this will keep the cartels busy for a few minutes. Hope the inflatable barriers are made of something uncuttable.

Bundle up all the plastic waste from China, found along our Pacific coast, pack it into "bales" wrapped in fiberglass nets and finally spirally wound in concertina wire. Connect them all end to end and float them in the same manner down the Rio Grande. Finally, a worthwhile "repurpose" of plastic waste!

I notice that Texas promised a few months ago that it would take care of the federal government's problem. I applaud this move. Texas knows better than to expect a Thank You or any repayment from the ingrates in the Biden Administration. That isn't why Texas created the barrier.
