The White House is considering a short-term extension to lift the debt ceiling so negotations between the Biden administration and Congressional Republicans won't throw the country off a fiscal cliff.
CNBC reported Friday on the administration's thinking, citing four sources familiar with the matter.
They characterized the move as being a 'last resort' or a 'fallback' option as Biden continues to demand that Republicans in Congress send a clean debt ceiling bill to his desk before June 1, when Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the U.S. would default on its loans.

President Joe Biden teased journalists at the White House Friday telling them that he would answer their questions later that afternoon at a 'major press conference.'
The only problem was there was no press conference on the schedule - and nobody in the White House press corps was aware of one was being planned.
In reality, Biden was referring to a sit-down interview scheduled later in the day with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle, which will air in full at 10 p.m. Friday night.

CNN released a video of Trump’s deposition in the E. Jean Carroll trial today. Evidently, it is another leak by politicized attorneys to the liberal media.
In his statement, President Trump once again announced E. Jean Carroll is not his type.
E. Jane Carroll was 60 when she claims President Trump raped her in a department store. She also claims he was buying her lingerie.

The conviction of Proud Boys leaders for "seditious conspiracy" on Jaunary 6 energized MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace. She was ready to pounce—on Donald Trump. She was hoping to parlay that into a prosecution of Trump. It had everything but the "lock him up" chants.
Approvingly quoting Liz Cheney, Wallace claimed that the conviction of the Proud Boys:

These are the questions we should ask as approximately 1,000,000 economic migrants are positioned to swarm the U.S. southern border on the same date. They will need a distraction, a BIG distraction.
What we can anticipate is that on/around May 11th something big will be delivered as part of that distraction.

People who rely on major news aggregators like News, Bing News and Yahoo! News for their political news are being ensconced inside filter bubbles, and this drives greater polarization, division and dysfunction in society overall.
Filter bubbles occur when someone is exposed only to one-perspective, or only to news that confirms his or her existing beliefs. repeatedly shows that when people only see one side, they become less tolerant of people and ideas that are different then they are. We, as a society, grow more divided and less accepting of each other.

Clear majorities of Americans support restrictions affecting transgender children, a Washington Post-KFF poll finds, offering political jet fuel for Republicans in statehouses and Congress who are pushing measures restricting curriculum, sports participation and medical care. Most Americans don’t believe it’s even possible to be a gender that differs from that assigned at birth. A 57 percent majority of adults said a person’s gender is determined from the start, with 43 percent saying it can differ. And some Americans have become more conservative on these questions as Republicans have seized the issue and worked to promote new restrictions. The Pew Research

RINOs, psyops, controlled opposition like Breitbart and Fox and the grifter consultant class are selling the narrative that Trump wins the nomination bigly -- then takes the Electoral College.
Joe Biden is on wobbly knees, at the edge of the actuarial life chart, leaving America with the most ridiculous replacement president. His own party doesn’t want him to run -- but the party owners are stuck with him. That too favors Trump.
Blissfully count the new Senate majority, the expanding House majority, and the keys to a White House that will finally drain the swamp.
Then, have a coffee, sit down and remember 2022. That felt great too

Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines called out Democrat lawmakers who opposed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act on Thursday, accusing them of putting their political interests above their responsibilities as parents after the bill passed last month in the House with zero votes from Democrats. The partisan bill, which seeks to amend Title IX to prohibit schools that receive federal funding from allowing biological men from participating in women's sports, passed the House late in April with a 219-203 vote. All the "yes" votes came from Republicans, and all the "no" votes came from Democrats

Former White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci and teachers union boss Randi Weingarten are furiously trying to rewrite history on their role in promoting the disastrous school lockdowns that paralyzed the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic and left a generation of children behind.
"Show me a school that I shut down and show me a factory that I shut down. Never. I never did," Fauci told New York Times Magazine last month. "I gave a public health recommendation that echoed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendation, and people made a decision based on that. But I never criticized the people who had to make the decisions

My assessment of the probability of Donald Trump receiving a fair trial on the highly questionable charges (falsifying business records) brought against him by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg just plummeted to subterranean levels. The judge in the case just metaphorically peed on Trump’s leg and told him it was raining, to employ a venerable and colorful American expression. He issued a gag order and specified that he was not issuing a gag order and violated Trump’s First Amendment rights while claiming he didn’t violate his First Amendment rights. The technical name, albeit a less flamboyant one than the metaphor of micturition, is dissimulation.

Republicans are accusing the Department of Justice of “actively” seeking to “dissuade” the U.S. Marshals Service from enforcing 18 USC 1507 to protect the Supreme Court justices.
In a May 3 letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Sens. Katie Britt of Alabama, Tom Cotton of Iowa, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Mike Lee of Utah reveal that they have obtained “post orders” dated May 19, 2022, that claim “USMS is not in a position to enforce” federal and state law. (Snip)
“The simple fact of the matter is that the Administration agreed with the protestors’ politics and willfully chose not to enforce the law.”

Yesterday, the third International COVID Summit was held at the European Parliament. As noted by the European Parliament Members in attendance, this was an historic event. The summit lasted all day, with many fantastic speakers. It was live streamed and recordings of the many speakers will be made available soon. The ICS summit covered all aspects of the pandemic, as well as the documentation of the increasing power grab by the World Health Organization to control public health and increased control by organized globalized entities throughout the world. (Snip) There was much excitement about the high quality, primary data shared at the meeting and the need for the media

Today, you’re not allowed to say a bad word about electric cars. They’re planet savers, after all. Environmentalists tell us so. But there will come a day — in the not-too-distant future — when the climate change fanatics will decide that EVs are planet killers, too.
We’ve seen this bait-and-switch tactic before.
Back in 2007, energy producers pumped money into environmental groups to promote natural gas. The Sierra Club used the funds to mount a “Beyond Coal” campaign touting the benefits of gas. Joe Romm, a climate advocate at the Center for American Progress, declared
