But there will come a day — in the not-too-distant future — when the climate change fanatics will decide that EVs are planet killers, too. We’ve seen this bait-and-switch tactic before. If the environmentalists don't attack the EV industry, it will prove that they are just political hacks. It's an easy decision and the environmental damage that is occurring can be proven with one photo. So they are either hacks or really want to protect the planet. Which one is it?

My guess is never. Once fanatics get a stupid idea stuck in their heads it never goes away. EVs good, ICE bad. Windmills good, nuclear power bad. Insects good, pesticides bad. Oxygen good, CO2 bad. Drugs good, guns bad. Pedos and perverts good, white Christians bad.

It's all theater, which the media loves and needs. Life without controversy or made-up crises would doom TV news, bloggers, and what newspapers are left. Good point about the flip-flops. But people have short memories.

First step would be to sabotage the charging stations. Which non-enviros might do as well. So, we can soon have fees and taxes added on for security measures to protect them. Sheesh - this just keeps gettin' better and better.

It has already started. Whacko socialist "environmentalists" are getting louder about their disapproval of the lithium batteries in EV's, their toxicity, lack of recycle, and their poisoning of landfills and runoff to aquifiers.

This is their goal: The Khmer Rouge’s interpretation of Maoist communism drove them to create a classless society, simply by eliminating all social classes except for the ‘old people’ – poor peasants who worked the land. The Khmer Rouge claimed that they were creating ‘Year Zero’ through their extreme reconstruction methods. They believed that Cambodia (which was called Kampuchea from 1975-79) should be returned to an alleged ‘golden age’ when the land was cultivated by peasants and the country would be ruled for and by the poorest amongst society. They wanted all members of society to be rural agricultural workers rather than educated city dwellers, who the Khmer Rouge believed had been corrupted by western capitalist ideas. In order to enforce loyalty to the state, the Khmer Rouge broke peoples’ ties to religion and family. All political and civil rights were abolished. Formal education ceased and from January 1977, all children from the age of eight were separated from their parents and placed in labour camps, which taught them that the state was their ‘true’ parents. For the Khmer Rouge, children were central to the revolution as they believed they could be easily moulded, conditioned and indoctrinated. They could be taught to obey orders, become soldiers and kill enemies. Children were taught to believe that anyone not conforming to the Khmer laws were corrupt enemies. source:https://www.hmd.org.uk/learn-about-the-holocaust-and-genocides/cambodia/khmer-rouge-ideology/

FTA: 'GM says it will be all-electric by 2035. (In the first quarter of this year, EVs accounted for a grand total of 3.4% of GM sales.) Ford aims to have electric vehicles make up half of its sales by 2030. Toyota says it will be “carbon neutral” by 2050.' They will both be carbon neutral by then; because they will both be out of business. Unless they start making city buses or tumbrils.

My gut feeling is that the Leftist Media (ABC, etc) will ramp up the attacks when (and IF) it becomes plain that the majority of the industry behind EV's- mining the materials, making the batteries, making the windmills and the solar panels to produce the electricity (traditional power plants -even ones now fueled by natural gas- are already under attack), etc., is American, rather than importing everything from China. As long as the source is China, and the Chicoms are making the bulk of the profits, the Leftist Media will continue to sing the praises of EV's.

In the span of a few weeks, the Biden administration has proposed regulations that would effectively ban gas stoves, force a massive shift to electric cars, sharply raise the cost of dishwashers, increase loan costs for frugal borrowers, regulate puddles as “navigable waters,” and limit hunting and fishing across the country. It will soon release a proposed rule targeting power plants with hugely expensive carbon capture mandates. This is just the tip of the spear. As the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Clyde Wayne Crews put it recently, “President Biden is leading an unprecedented expansion of the administrative state.

Going woke means more than, as the saying says, going broke. It also means the ultimate loss of life. The grip of wokeness on our society will eventually kill Americans. Let’s begin with health care. Medical school students, whose learning should be focused on the healing arts, are being taught social justice ideology. Apparently, white supremacy, oppression, and structural racism must be addressed by America’s doctors-to-be, as well as the sin of being white. Diversity, equity, and inclusion studies are being required at some schools,

American businesses and higher-educational institutions have been swept up in the “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion” trend, which bases hiring, pay and promotion decisions on such things as political beliefs, gender, race and sexual orientation. Do most Americans support this trend? The answer is a resounding “no,” the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Looking at the recent historic shifts among American commercial and educational institutions when it comes to their employment, promotion and pay practices, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll asked Americans “which of the following factors are important

“The U.S. lost track of 1,475 immigrant children last year. Here’s why people are outraged now.” That was a Washington Post headline from May 2018, one of many such pronouncements in nearly every mainstream news outlet – all decrying these missing children as evidence of the “cruelty” and “inhumanity” of President Donald Trump’s border security policies. “It’s just wrong. It’s wrong,” Joe Biden said at one point. “Cruelty is the point. It’s their only point.” But under President Biden’s allegedly more humane border security policies, the federal government has lost track of 85,000 children who crossed the border unaccompanied by their

Following the announcement that ChatGPT4 will soon be incorporated into upcoming versions of Microsoft 365, that certainty has evaporated. It’s an age of innocence that we might come to miss. Taking artificial intelligence from a fantasy future to everyday use has the potential to benefit humanity exponentially. Americans expecting a better economy to emerge three years after the COVID shutdowns will no doubt be disappointed by the first quarter’s GDP gain of just 1.1% with higher inflation. And it’s even worse than it looks. Of course, President Joe Biden denied the worsening news, saying, “Today, we learned that the American economy remains strong, as it transitions to steady and stable growth.” “Strong”? Really? No one believes that. As recently as late March, economists were looking for a first-quarter GDP growth number exceeding 3%. Instead, they got 1.1%, down from 2.6% in the fourth quarter and 3.2% in last year’s third quarter. See the trend?

In one of the most memorable presidential debate moments, Ronald Reagan asked voters if they were better off in 1980 than they were when Jimmy Carter was elected in 1976. The obvious answer was, for most, a resounding “no.” Whoever runs against the Democratic nominee next year needs to bring back that question, because it’s a certainty that in the fall of 2024, we’ll still be worse off than we were in pre-pandemic 2020. And for that, we can thank, or rather blame, Joe Biden. In a poll taken earlier this year, 41% of Americans said they were financially worse off

Now that Joe Biden has announced his plans to run for reelection, the question that must be weighing on the minds of Democratic Party officials is “Can he possibly win without COVID?” They must know that without the pandemic, Biden had no chance of defeating Donald Trump in 2020. When he announced his candidacy exactly four years ago, the economy was booming and optimism was rising. Trump’s approval rating was edging upward. The only reason he had for running, he said, was because Trump

It’s been said we live in one of the most divisive and bitterly antagonistic political eras in our nation’s history. That’s certainly true for some of the public debates over tough issues we face today. But data from the latest I&I/TIPP Poll show there’s one policy issue about which both major parties have near total agreement: school choice. Fed up with substandard public schools and feeling trapped, Democrat and Republican voters heartily support greater school choice by more than 2-to-1, according to April’s online I&I/TIPP Poll. The survey, taken March 29-31 from a national sample of 1,365 adults, has a margin

Saturday will mark the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day, one full spin of the globe in which we are expected to celebrate the modern environmental movement. Yet that great cause, if we may paraphrase Eric Hoffer, became a business, then degenerated into a racket that not only became a haven for grifters but also a platform for scolds and eco-religion zealots. We strongly suggest that rather than spend a day exalting the inanimate Gaia, the West should mark it with recognition of how far human progress has brought us. Vermont’s self-described socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is a nonstop cheerleader for a minimum-wage hike. Recently, in Britain’s Guardian newspaper, he once again called for a huge increase in the minimum wage. Sounds generous, until you realize it would in fact hurt most the working poor, those who supposedly would reap the greatest benefits of a boosted minimum wage. “Whether they are greeting us at Walmart, serving us hamburgers at McDonald’s, providing childcare for our kids or waiting on our table at a diner in rural America, there are too many Americans trying to survive and raise families on $9, $10 or $12 an hour,” Sanders wrote.

Two weeks ago, President Joe Biden announced that he is running for reelection in 2024, promising to “finish the job”. What exactly does he want to finish, other than American exceptionalism as we know it? America is rapidly imploding on many fronts – financial and economic, cultural, safety, and our place in the world. Does finishing the job mean erasing every achievement of former President Donald Trump? Or is he completing former President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign promise, "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America"?

My friend and colleague, Dr. Maryanne Demasi has been studying the use of statins for years. She just had her meta analysis published in "JAMA Internal Medicine." This is an extremely important paper.(snip)The public health mantra about cholesterol has always been “the lower, the better.” This has been reflected in expert guidelines which have called on doctors to aggressively lower their patient’s ‘bad’ LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) with statin drugs to prevent heart disease. However, our new analysis published in JAMA Internal Medicine (paywalled) challenges that notion. Over the years, influential researchers such as the Cholesterol Treatment Trialists (CTT) at Oxford University, have monopolised the scientific debate on statins. But there are three problems with the various CTT analyses:
