Asked about his philosophy in life, movie star Harrison Ford said this week that he was "raised a Democrat" and "my moral purpose was being a Democrat." (Snip) Back in 2020, he suggested, "I think it's come to the point where we gotta start talking politics. But we gotta talk about it in a positive way. We gotta regain the middle ground. We're in these ideological enclaves. But the truth is in the middle. Progress is made in the middle." That same year, Ford called Donald Trump a "son of a b----."

So, he's from Chicago and will be 81 in July. The Democrats he romanticizes about now are no longer running the party. The Progressives are and they are very far-left from the middle.

Typical harebrained liberal. Blames everybody but himself. Preaches about global warming but lives in a 10,000 square foot house and owns five airplanes and three cars. Talks tough but, when the time came to bear arms in defense of his country, declared himself a conscientious objector. 24-karat gold-plated phony.

At one time actors were just one rung above pimps, whores and pickpockets on the societal ladder. They have never climbed higher, they just make more money now. Ford should stick to what he knows -- memorizing words written by people smarter than him and then repeating them when directed to do so.

Sorry, Harry; but your "D" apparently stands for "disconnect" -- as in your affiliation with the Democrats is neither rational, nor connected to any actual ideology. Your admission of that should be an introduction to why you are leaving the party. The dude is a talented thespian with nary a functional neuron in his noggin'.

I don't think he really understands what he is saying by equating Nature with God. Nature is whatever is natural, while God is supernatural by definition. They can't be compared logically. You either accept God as a matter of faith or you don't. For some reason he thinks he needs to deny this fundamental belief so as to not hurt anyone's feelings. This is the essense of passive nihilism. His allegiance to whatever he thinks "Democrat" means is also symptomatic of someone who only cares about feelings and not about existential truths. Sadly, his beliefs are not uncommon particularly with post-Moderist Romantics.

Anybody who says they were raised a Democrat by FDR generation parents and therefore continue to support that party today which has morphed beyond all recognition, is a political ignoramus. All the old depression era voters are gone but their senior citizen children are still voting for FDR because momma and daddy loved him and he was a democrat. The 100,000-square-foot store has sat vacant at the corner of 71st Street and Pulaski Road on the city’s Southwest Side since 2016. Sources said the migrants — mostly asylum seekers — will be relocated from the suburbs, where they are currently staying at hotels. According to documents WTTW News obtained, the site was selected because of its nearby resources and because it is in a welcoming neighborhood. But some local officials are not yet ready to roll out the welcome mat.
