U.S. tracked spy balloon after it lifted

U.S. intelligence officials were tracking the spy balloon that was shot down earlier this month since it lifted off from the south coast of China, U.S. officials said Tuesday. According to U.S. officials, after takeoff, the spy balloon drifted east in the direction of Guam and Hawaii and then went north to Alaska and entered U.S. airspace on Jan. 28. Given the path, it's possible that the balloon was blown off course by weather, but U.S. officials said that once it came south over the continental United States, it was being controlled by China. The tracking of the balloon was first reported by The Washington Post. China has insisted

The good news: Our government is capable of tracking a big white floating ball located almost anywhere. The bad news: Unless some guy in Montana spots the ball, our government will pretend the ball doesn't exist.

And just let it roll on to cover the country, hoping to slip it past us. And does this mean that Medals Milley and Traitor Joe are both working to help the ChiComs gather intel on the country? It sure seems like defending the USA is not on either the WH or the Pentagon's agenda.

I actually believe our government knows what it's doing and these talking heads who want to politicize it can say some stupid stuff. The U.S. turned off communications over facilities it passed over and shooting it down over water leaves it more intact to examine. The government may have even orchestrated the outrage in the MSM as an added excuse to shoot it down.

We should have shot it down the moment it entered US airspace on January 28. People at NORAD were asleep at their jobs and should be court martialed. The short of it is, they had NO idea what its payload was and it is NOT their job to assume it is benign. It is their job to assume it is hostile.

IF we knew it was coming and where it was coming from and it was allowed to enter UA air space , people should be tried for treason for not shooting it down . Answer this, Would this have happened if Ronald Reagan were president? Or Donald Trump?

What is most noteworthy about this story is that it's an admission the US spies on China as much as China spies on the US. It pays to keep an eye on enemy assets. Never know when you might want to drop a nuke on them. Or provide intel to an assassin that can remove a target from a mile away. And that is why we don't shoot down each other's spy network. We shoot down their spy network, and they shoot down ours. Then both are blind. Every country with the necessary resources spies on everyone else. bet both China and the US are watching Ukraine and Russia. Bet Russia is watching China and the US. And on and on it goes. Nothing will change. The only reason we are hearing about this is because people want to humiliate Biden, and Biden is using it as a distraction. Talk about spy balloons and alien invasions means less talk about government corruption and incompetence.

Re #4, "shooting it down over water leaves it more intact"??? Hmmm. Show me the difference in the wreckage of an airliner that plunges steeply into the ground or equally steeply into the earth. There is no real difference from a high speed impact with water or dirt. And the water immediately damages sensitive electronics and makes it very hard to find the stuff and recover it. On land, you drive over and load it onto a truck, the only damage is from impact, not salt water corrosion and you lose far less of it. I think your claim is off base.

But for the citizen who reported the balloon-on-a-mission, the American people would never have known about it. Do we know for sure when the occupant of the White House was told? I ask because a certain general known to have gone around President Trump to reassure China it would get a heads up if Donald Trump made a move he didn’t like, is still in a position to make decisions above his pay grade.

Exclusive: The White House explained why it turned down Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine's request for disaster relief this week in the aftermath of a derailment of a train hauling toxic chemicals. A Biden administration official told Fox News Digital that it has provided extensive assistance to surrounding communities following the chemical release earlier this month in eastern Ohio. However, the official said the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the agency that usually provides relief to communities hit by hurricanes and other natural disasters, isn't best equipped to support the state's current needs. "The Biden Administration is mobilizing a robust, multi-agency effort to support the people of East Palestine, Ohio. Since February 3,

We are going to need a new industry that simply spends its time fact-checking the so-called “fact-checkers.” That’s the story after a new landmark study published in The Lancet offered vindication to everyone who touted natural immunity to COVID-19 as an alternative to vaccination. For years, the powers that be, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House, and the press, dismissed the idea of taking natural immunity into account when debating vaccine mandates and vaccine passports. They were wrong, so much so that even the mainstream media are having to admit it.

Forgive me for repeating myself — the Biden administration intended to let the Chinese spy balloon traverse the United States and surveil some of our most secure war-fighting facilities without obstruction or notice. It was only exposed to the public by the efforts of Chase Doak and the Billings Gazette as it crossed Montana. A small number of intelligence officials under former President Trump were aware of several suspected Chinese balloons that crossed into U.S. airspace during his time in office, according to The Wall Street Journal. Despite suspicions among some officials that the high-flying objects were from China, a Pentagon assessment never conclusively linked the balloons to Beijing, and information on the incidents was not shared broadly within the Trump administration, the Journal noted. At least three suspected Chinese surveillance balloons briefly hovered over the U.S. during the Trump administration, in addition to one that occurred earlier in the Biden administration, a senior Pentagon official said earlier this month.
