The Reserve consists of four sites (Bryan Mound, Big Hill, Bayou Choctaw, and West Hackberry) with a combined storage capacity of 714 million barrels of crude oil. It is the largest strategic oil reserve in the world. The OPEC oil embargo of 1973 and the resultant oil crisis contributed to western governments’ recognition of how vulnerable their countries were to disruptions in Middle East oil.

Augusta National, the United States Golf Association and the PGA of America are now included in the Justice Department’s growing antitrust investigation into the PGA Tour, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The initial investigation stemmed from the Tour’s feud with the controversial Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Golf, which has prompted lawsuits from each league against one another in a lengthy legal battle.
Initially, the DOJ was just looking at the Tour. However, according to The Wall Street Journal, it now includes Augusta National, the USGA and the PGA of America.
Augusta National hosts the Masters every year, and is independent from the rest of golf.
At this point, it would save everyone time if Democrats could simply point to a policy agenda item that isn’t going to save democracy — if such a thing exists.

Tuesday night’s debates were an unmitigated disaster for Democrats across the board.
In Michigan, Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer resorted to misrepresenting her COVID record when pressed ever so slightly on the issue of school closures. Over in New York, Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul floundered when confronted about her state’s rising crime rates. And in Pennsylvania, Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman, who suffered a stroke earlier this year, struggled to put together a coherent thought.
Each of these candidates held comfortable leads over their Republican opponents until very recently.
Critics tore into the Philadelphia Inquirer’s opinion staff on Wednesday after they had reviewed Democratic U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman’s debate performance as better than that of his opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz. Even though many liberal media pundits admitted that lingering impairments from Fetterman’s stroke in May rendered his debate performance "painful to watch," the Philadelphia paper’s opinion section rated it better than his rival’s.

The “isolated loner” teenager who killed two people at his St. Louis high school was captured in an eerie yearbook photo looking sullen and expressionless.
The picture of Orlando Harris was confirmed by police on Tuesday — a day after he carried out the deadly shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.
The 19-year-old, who gunned down a fellow student and gym teacher, wore a white hoodie, a black jacket and looked solemn in the photo that was widely shared on the internet before authorities confirmed it was Harris.

While Hobbs has taken to writing off Lake as a “conspiracy theorist” she will not debate, Lake hasn’t slowed down going after the Democrat on both economic and social issues, earning her a slight lead in the latest polling.

Four small aftershocks have rattled northern California since Tuesday's large magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck east of San Jose, according to the California Geological Survey, which warned residents to expect more shaking in the coming days.
