The MSM Threatens Democracy

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 10/26/2022 5:13:05 AM

For our form of self-governance to work, we need a robust news industry. Its role is to hold authority accountable and allow an informed public to make well-reasoned decisions. That’s why a free and independent press is protected by the Constitution. But our MSM has run wildly off the rails. The MSM is no longer a purveyor of truth, but rather a developer of narratives -- and they’re shameless about it, calling such narratives “fake but accurate.” The facts may be wrong, but the story supports the chosen narrative. They no longer inform the public.

A few of our friends had this very discussion not too long ago and came to the same conclusion. The government, the media, the scientific community, and of course, the democrat party and many in the Republican Party have lost our trust. Who could ever trust them gain? You would be a fool to do so. However, I don’t believe they care because they are so invested in their power to control us that they cannot conceive of a scenario in which they would ever lose control of us. If, God willing, democrats are soundly defeated, it is going to shock them to the core. Then the wailing and gnashing of teeth will commence. It’s not going to be pretty. The meltdown will be epic.

Missing from the box of Evil Left Media is the New York Times! Perhaps the author doesn't consider it a news source. Neither do I.

Anyone who uses the word DEMOCRACY to describe the U.S. is the REAL THREAT to our REPUBLIC. And that includes the author of this article.

The MSM has been working against America for over 100 years and it exists because the government needs a method to keep the lies flowing to the citizenry. We used to ridicule Pravda but there is no difference. The Vietnam War was escalated from a regional conflict by a careful and steady stream of lies and we have been meddling in the affairs of other countries ever since either by military action or via the CIA. We entered WW1 mainly by the promotion of certain events such as the sinking of the Lusitania. WW2 is probably the only justified war we have fought since the Revolution. I don't need to explain what a boondoggle the Middle East has been.

Nancy Pelosi was in DC according to her office. The assailant reportedly was trying to tie up Paul Pelosi “until Nancy got home.” The man who beat Paul Pelosi with a hammer was targeting the Speaker, demanding to know “Where’s Nancy?” He broke in through a sliding glass door. A common charge in western republics has been the claim that conservatives insist on thinking rationally and have no compassion, while liberals make all their decisions on feelings, and refuse to use their heads. In the oft-misattributed aphorism, Winston Churchill first summed up this difference as: “If you’re not a liberal at 20, you have no heart; if you’re not a conservative by 40, you have no brain.” Throughout the centuries-long struggle between constitutionally-limited government and a Marxist welfare state, this tug-of-war between heart and head

Some may find this insensitive, but I couldn’t care less: did everyone at the Philadelphia Inquirer suffer a neurological event last night? By that, I mean, did the entire newsroom suffer a stroke? Democratic candidate John Fetterman debated Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz in the only debate that will be held before Pennsylvania voters decide who will fill the U.S. Senate vacancy left by outgoing Republican Pat Toomey. The event was only an hour, with closed captioning being utilized to help Fetterman survive without coming off like someone recovering from a severe stroke. The problem is it didn’t help much, as Fetterman blurted out half-thoughts and sentence fragments

There is "crazy," and there is "bat-s--- crazy." And then there is "off-the-charts, beyond delusional, holy-bleeping-cow insanity." The last was recently on display when MSNBC host Joy Reid and guest Matthew Dowd spoke about Republicans and the economy. First, Reid accused Donald Trump of "fascism in the open" for saying he may challenge the 2022 midterm elections, starting in Philadelphia. (Why would he do that? The Democrats, though they rabidly challenged the results of the 2000, 2004, and 2016 elections, claimed that the 2008 and 2012 elections were spot on, and that the 2020 election was the single most secure and uncorrupted in all of recorded history.

No one likes to see anyone deteriorate, physically or mentally. If you’ve lost loved ones in ways other than sudden and unexpected, you’ve seen it firsthand. If you’ve been lucky enough not to have witnessed this, you will. It’s one of those things in life that is inescapable, unfortunately. While you can’t avoid it, you don’t have to elect it. And that exactly what Democrats did with Joe Biden. Joe’s downfall may seem like it’s been a long time coming, but it really hasn’t been.

From my hometown of Los Angeles, I flew to Orlando, followed by Atlanta, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago and now Burlington. My Salem radio talk-show host colleagues and I went from city to city in "battleground" states to speak on the forthcoming elections -- specifically about how vital it is for the survival of America that the Left and its political party be defeated. Just yesterday, 30 left wing House Democrats led by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (Washington), chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, sent a letter to Joe Biden requesting him to pursue a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine. The letter was signed by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Cori Bush (Mo.), Ro Khanna (Calif.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), and Reps. Jamie Raskin (Md.) They called for economic and military support to Ukraine to be coupled with a diplomatic push and a direct engagement with Russia to find a solution "that is acceptable to the people of Ukraine”

Now that New York City is becoming a border state, thanks to incoming shipments of illegal aliens from the geographic border states, the city’s mayor, Eric Adams, has gotten his act together and put out the welcome mat for people who have no right to be here in the first place. The city’s existing homeless, with special emphasis on homeless Blacks, have noticed that there’s a gaping chasm between the quality of existing homeless shelters and the ones for the newbies—and the native New Yorkers are getting the short end of the stick. Cast your mind back to 2020. Before the November presidential elections, the nation’s cities were convulsed by riots -- riots spread by leftist provocateurs, facilitated by Democrat mayors, and condoned by congressional Democrats. George Floyd’s death was an excuse. Mayhem was a regular feature for months in the news. Some Democrats expressed guarded sympathy for rioters. Most others stayed silent. Silence lends consent, and Antifa and BLM got plenty of it. Regardless, the argument went that in the name of racial justice it was virtuous

In terms of being good at messaging the Inflation Reduction Act, the Biden-Harris administration has not been doing well. First, the name is just...not true. Townhall reported multiple evaluations of the legislation that found it would have marginal to zero impact on inflation, and may even increase inflationary pressure that's already running for 40-year highs. Even before it was signed into law, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer spilled the beans and heralded the legislation that pretended to address inflation

At newspapers, obituaries are typically written in advance. The Washington Post had plenty to work with when the death of Lucianne Goldberg happened, but instead of remembering good, or at least balancing their summary, they selectively chose to remember the great muse of the right, Internet pioneer, and accomplished woman from a time when women weren't allowed much accomplishment, by printing only cherry-picked tales of dubious sourcing that made her look phony. It was garbage. It stood in stark contrast to the insightful and warm-hearted tweets that overwhelmingly were the consensus on Twitter, from wildly different parts of the Internet spectrum.
