Critics tore into the Philadelphia Inquirer’s opinion staff on Wednesday after they had reviewed Democratic U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman’s debate performance as better than that of his opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz. Even though many liberal media pundits admitted that lingering impairments from Fetterman’s stroke in May rendered his debate performance "painful to watch," the Philadelphia paper’s opinion section rated it better than his rival’s.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee are demanding that the Biden administration preserve documents related to the ongoing crisis at the southern border -- as Republicans lay the groundwork for investigations and hearings on the matter in the next Congress. Reps. Jim Jordan, the ranking member, and Tom McClintock, the ranking member of the immigration subcommittee, wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding the agencies preserve documents and materials related to border security.

The liberal New York Times has a popular podcast simply called “The Daily,” and unsurprisingly, it airs on nearly 300 taxpayer-funded National Public Radio stations across America. Host Michael Barbaro is so soft-spoken you could argue he is the anti-Limbaugh. But that does not mean he’s always calm and reasonable.
On October 20, Barbaro brought on Times polling analyst Nate Cohn to discuss how the latest Times/Siena College poll contained ominous news for Democrats. The show began as a straightforward analysis of how Democrats grew optimistic about maintaining their control of Congress because the top issues were abortion, gun violence, and the January 6 Committee (aka “democracy”).

The US dollar is flying high. For much of the world this is a tragedy, as currencies around the globe depreciate and economies come under strain as a result. But it's not just non-US citizens, businesses and governments that are feeling the pain.

Mayra Flores, who flipped a long-held Democratic House seat along the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this year, said she was refused admission by the CHC because of her party affiliation.
"As the first Mexican-born American Congresswoman, I thought the Hispanic Caucus would be open to working together," said Flores. "This denial once again proves a bias towards conservative Latinas that don’t fit their narrative or ideology."
The CHC is the largest working group within Congress for lawmakers of Hispanic and Latino descent.

Oregon's Democratic gubernatorial nominee, Tina Kotek, appears to be responding to the building momentum for Republican candidate Christine Drazan in their heated race by turning on her own party and launching attack's on the state's current Democratic governor, Kate Brown. Kotek's attacks on Brown, while mild, have come in the final weeks of campaigning as polling has shown Drazan running neck-and-neck with the former Democratic Speaker of Oregon's state house and well ahead of independent candidate, and former Democrat, Betsy Johnson in the traditionally deep-blue state.
At this point, it would save everyone time if Democrats could simply point to a policy agenda item that isn’t going to save democracy — if such a thing exists.

In a tweet from Friday, Reiner accused the former president of “spreading The Big Lie for 2 years.”

Measure 114, often referred to as the Reduction of Gun Violence Act, is a ballot measure that will require background checks, firearm training, fingerprint collection and a permit to purchase any firearm, according to the legislation.
