Former First Lady Hillary Clinton compared rallies held by former President Donald Trump to rallies once held by Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler during an event at the Texas Tribune Festival Friday.
“I remember as a young student trying to figure out how did people get basically drawn in by Hitler? How did that happen? And I’d watch newsreels and I’d see this guy standing up there ranting and raving, and people shouting and raising their arms. I said, what’s happened to these people? Why did they believe that?” Clinton, who was defeated by Trump in 2016, asked.

President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden were definitely 'feeling the love' ahead of a performance by Elton John in the shadow of the White House on Friday night.
The pair kissed one another on the lips in front of an enthusiastic crowd and held hands before taking to the microphone to introduce the 75-year-old rocker to the stage.
Jill, 71, donned a daring blue sequined dress for the occasion, which hugged her enviable figure.
The Rocketman played on an elaborate stage set up specifically for him and his team.

Far be it for us to pick on the way our First Lady Jill Biden chooses to dress. Oh, sure, the Left spent YEARS trashing Melania Trump, going so far as to sexually harass her but psh, we are the grown-ups in the room and would never EVER think of making fun of Jill’s wardrobe. For example, would we ever say it looks like she’s been shopping in The Matrix? HA, never. We’re far too mature and stuff to say such things.

I don’t generally talk about Jill Biden’s clothes, but she wore something during some recent photos with her husband and world leaders that had a lot of people talking. Frankly, I think it says something about her psyche and why we are in the mess we are in with her husband. This may be the worst outfit yet, although there’s a lot of competition.(Tweet) People had thoughts. Some compared it to a Hefty bag, some to something Alice Cooper might wear. My SO thinks that she must have been trying to imitate Cat Woman and the leather outfit, because that was what was considered “hot” when Jill Biden was young.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern called for more “collective” action in her address to the U.N. General Assembly on Friday, especially on the issues of climate change, nuclear non-proliferation, pandemic response, and opposing wars of aggression such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Ardern’s authoritarian impulses were on display in her call for tighter regulations on Internet speech, although she insisted she values free speech and merely wishes to cleanse “disinformation” from international discourse. Ardern portrayed the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, which New Zealand addressed with some of the heaviest lockdowns to be found outside of communist China

Nobody knows anything.
Newly retired liberal Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer told CNN's Chris Wallace in an interview that, as far as he knows, the identity of the mysterious leaker of Justice Samuel Alito's opinion draft on the overturning of Roe v. Wade, is still unknown.
According to a transcript provided by the network, Wallace asked about the leak, which happened in May: 'Within 24 hours the chief justice ordered an investigation of the leaker. Have they found him or her?'

A father of seven and pro-life warrior was arrested this morning in Pennsylvania by 25-30 FBI agents for protecting his son from crude actions reportedly made against his son by an abortion escort.
LifeSite reported today:
A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest — for supposed “FACE Act” violations — at his rural home as his children looked on “screaming.”

Is Joe Biden President? That’s the question to ask after staffers walked back Biden’s latest remarks on Taiwan.
During his rather uneven “60 Minutes” interview with Scott Pelley last weekend, Biden firmly and clearly announced that the United States would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion. This was a dramatic statement, and a substantial shift from America’s traditional policy of “strategic ambiguity” on Taiwan, in which our response to Chinese saber-rattling over the island nation was essentially “fool around and find out.” Biden was not at all ambiguous: If China went to war with Taiwan, it would be war with the United States and its allies. That departure made some sense.

Palace aides have claimed Meghan moaned she wasn't getting paid for royal tours, agreed to the Oprah interview six months before Megxit and reduced staff to tears with bullying and tantrums in a bombshell new book.
The explosive extracts of the forthcoming book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown by Valentine Low, were published by The Times today.
The new book claims that during the royal tour of Australia in October 2018, Meghan did not understand why she had to shake people's hands or do walkabouts.

Beto O'Rourke, who is facing off against Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in November's election, said that the rightward shift of Latino voters in recent years is partly due to a disregard for the demographic by Democrats. Candidate Biden didn't spend a dime or day in the Rio Grande Valley or really anywhere in Texas, for that matter, once we got down in the homestretch of the general election," O'Rourke told a crowd at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin on Saturday. "You got to be locking eyeballs with the people that you want to fight for and serve and whose votes that you want to win."

Woke activists in charge of Montpelier—the home where James Madison conceived the US Constitution—plan to build a massive national slavery monument on the grounds of the founding father’s Virginia plantation. Critics and historians say such a memorial would upend the fourth president’s legacy and become the center of attention at his own home.(Snip)“We want to make this a national monument to the ‘Invisible Founders,'” Walker said—slaves who, he believes, deserve equal credit for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights because their labor financed the private lives of Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and many of the nation’s early leaders. Madison owned 38 enslaved African Americans

This article points out that good, strong leadership is necessary to prevent a wider war (and, hey, freezing Europe this winter) and is totally absent in Russia AND the U.S. Good list of negotiables towards the end.
