Trump plans to PAINT Southern border wall
to make it hotter and harder to climb

The border wall separating the United States and Mexico is being painted black to make it too hot for migrants to climb. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem revealed the project was a specific request from Donald Trump as the president celebrated 'ZERO releases' of illegal migrants into the country. 'In the hot temperatures down here, when something is painted black it gets even warmer,' Noem said during a press conference in front of the wall on Tuesday. She noted the structure is already hard to climb and near impossible to dig under, but said Trump's latest measure will help to secure the American border even further.

This sounds good, but probably isn't going to change anything. The steel is "Core10" which is specifically designed to develop a protective dark red rust layer which prevents further rusting. And, the dark red, with a sort of 'velvet texture' is an extremely effective solar energy absorber. My bet is that very little temp rise and almost no improvement in durability will result from this massive time and money expenditure. It SEEMS like a good idea, but is probably a total waste of time.

How long before the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats object to painting the border barrier black by claiming that show that the Trump Administration is racist and that instead it should be painted white or not painted at all?

This does sound expensive. The surface has to be clean and at least loose rust before painting. After derusting, a rust converting primer has to be applied. Then it can be painted. It would be cheaper to electrify the fence A test model to determine temprature rise…might be appropriate

A friend told me in the Philippines they had a big wall around base housing and on top of the wall was broken glass embedded in concrete. Something like that might be sort of effective.

Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Masino has responded to the backlash against the company's bizarre woke rebrand, and it's as bad as you might imagine.[snip] When asked why Cracker Barrel was making all these changes, Masino's corporate-speak didn't fail with her reply that "Cracker Barrel needs to feel like the Cracker Barrel for today and for tomorrow." Strahan then asked the CEO about how the new look has prompted numerous videos on social media slamming it, and she just brushed it off. "Honestly, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive that people like what we are doing," Masino responded.

The Pavlovian Left goes berserk at the mere prospect of each new Trump initiative. Its escalating reactive venom and hysteria are calibrated to the success of Trump’s latest policy. Yet the new hard-left Democratic Party offers no counter-agenda to explain its furor. Still less do Democrats attempt bipartisan efforts to craft shared legislation. Take foreign policy. Democrat senators trashed the recent Trump-Putin Alaskan summit as a failure. Then they became depressed when, just days later, an entourage of European leaders and President Zelensky of Ukraine suddenly flew to the White House.

How would your child score on a common mental health screening?  A mental health professional might view the results and conclude that your child has a mental health problem…that needs to be psychiatrically diagnosed and treated, even medicated. Will this help your child thrive? Or will it reshape their identity in undesirable ways? Will you be comfortable with your child taking medications that alter their developing brains and could perturb their sexuality? When your child reaches adulthood, will they be able to withdraw from these drugs, or will they despair to find out that their body and brain have adapted to them, making this difficult or maybe even impossible?

Texas Democrat James Talarico has campaigned on getting megadonor cash out of elections, but records show he has been cashing checks from an unlikely source: a Republican, Trump-backing billionaire. Talarico's single largest donation last year came from a PAC backed by casino mogul Miriam Adelson, the widow of longtime Republican megadonor Sheldon Adelson. Records show Talarico received $59,000 from Adelson's Texas Sands PAC in 2024, making the group his largest donor for that year. A representative for Talarico's office defended his accepting the funds

The Flex Ltd. plant in Mukachevo, a city hundreds of miles from the front line, was engulfed in flames after being hit by two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles around 4:30 a.m., according to Ukrainian officials. The factory was not involved in the war and was just one casualty as “hundreds of drones, as well as hypersonic, ballistic, and cruise missiles, targeted civilian and energy infrastructure” in the latest Russian bombardment, Ukraine’s foreign minister, Andriy Sybiha, wrote on X.
