Fried and furious. Disturbing footage captured the moment a massive melee broke out on a Carnival Cruise ship among fuming passengers seemingly upset over “chicken tenders.” The violence among about two dozen brawlers erupted aboard the Sunshine at about 2 a.m. Monday — the last day of its voyage — as the ship was heading back to Miami, according to a passenger who filmed the mayhem.

Two am and too much to drink. Carnival needs to put them in a boat and let them paddle to Miami.

Another clickbait unarticle from the tabloid NYP.
Terra captioned his video: “I always hear carnival is ghetto/ratchet I been cruising for years but this my 1st time seeing some action on a ship I was on YNs was tripping.”

Carnival recently updated their rules to try and counter their ghetto image, with the usual suspects claiming racism. It seems clear those new rules aren't strict enough.

"Ghetto-ratchet" isn't what I would want to experience on board a cruise ship. All bipedal hominids aren't necessarily human beings. Stay off Carnival unless you want to end up in a melée. Too many "common" people swinging at each other.

Could be my imagination, but it seems that every one of these "food fights" always involves someone who should be eating nothing but salads. And by that I mean that even Ozempic wouldn't work. Odd...

Wife and I just completed a cruise around Iceland together with six different ports of call. A smaller ship with a capacity of 320 guests. A great group of folks. We loved it.

That's the one trip neither of us ever wanted to try....a cruise on one of those floating hotels with several thousand people no matter how nice the amenities. For the price, there are wonderful, beautiful resorts and getaways in the US.
As far as cruises go, we took one of those Viking river cruises a few years ago on the Seine. Paris to Normandy.. A little pricey but we loved it. Only a couple of hundred people on board and a visit to the Cathedral at Notrre Dame, Versailles, The Louvre, Monet's house and Garden, stops at Rouen and of course, the Normandy Beaches and American Cemetery. Highly recommend and that's the only cruise I would ever take again.

It's called a party! Get drunk, start fights. For some people, this is what the party scene is all about. Anyone with an ounce of common sense avoids this like the plague. This is all about uncivilized people behaving in an uncivil manner. It might look like race, but it's more.
Went on a Carnival Cruise. Once. Biggest problem I had was they are OVERCROWDED. I recall a quote about humanity being the only animal that seeks overcrowded conditions. I remember getting off the ship somewhere in Mexico when two other ships were letting off at the same time. Thousands of people milling around. It wasn't fun.
Btw, is someone singling out Carnival Cruise Lines for criticism? Have to imagine this happens on other cruise lines too.

Our first Cruise, 23 years ago, was on Carnival! Yes, we saw the same kind of Brawl as pictured here. We never Sailed on Carnival again. We Cruise every year, on Princess, and have never had the problem again. It matters what Cruise Line you choose. Carnival isn't it for us!! We also stay away from the HUGE new Ships that have up to 10,000 people on Board. Too Big, too many Folks for us!

Click bait on the reference to chicken tenders. The reporter admitted he wasn't close enough to the melee to know what caused it, only that they were in a food line. Like one of the above posters said--someone probably "disrespected" someone, that's the usual reason "they" use. Were some of these brawlers crew? Cruises I've been on don't permit groups of crew mingling but I wonder about it in this case.

Most times these wonderful people call 911 when they can't get their chicken tenders. No connection out to sea. The next best thing to do is to start a brawl. Two things I'll have to remember, 1. Do not order the chicken tenders on a Carnival Cruise. And 2. Do not book a Carnival Cruise at any time.

Carnival has an abbreviated "midnight buffet" with snack/fast food type item to accommodate gamblers who missed supper. It serves chicken fingers, hotdogs and burgers so that gamblers can keep their strength up until breakfast

This may be hard to believe but I swear on everything that is holy that it is true. I knew one who killed a man over a pork chop. I dont know when he had done it but it had to have been a long time ago cause he was on work release from prison and working in a mobile home factory that I worked in. This was in the mid 80s.
ALSO, I knew another one who killed his father in law for grabbing the last chicken neck.
