Two stories in the news strike a common chord: the need to stop infantilizing minority, especially black, populations. The first comes from the world of sports and involves the familiar racial hate incident hoax. Briefly, the Duke women’s volleyball team played a match at Brigham Young University, and lost. After the match, the godmother of one of the Duke players, who is black, tweeted that someone in the BYU crowd had yelled the “N-word” at her goddaughter when she was serving. It turned out that she (the godmother) is a virulent anti-white racist (“These white folks ain’t never had they ass kicked, but they better get used to it”).

It's the Jussie Smollett syndrome. Blame everything on a white person. The individuals doing the blaming are flaming bigots. No Joke.

The author has some facts wrong. It was not the coach of South Carolina’s volleyball team who cancelled an upcoming match with BYU, it was the coach of national champion South Carolina’s women’s basketball team, Dawn Staley, who cancelled an upcoming game with BYU, over what proved to be a lie. Dawn Staley is a very good coach, but if she allows the slander to stand, she’s not a very good person. Unless Dawn Staley apologizes, I must conclude that it is she who is racist.

And, long ago, a lot of black churches that were burned in the south were burned by blacks. But we couldn't say that.

I was at the game, I heard the godmother call me a Klan member. I have no proof, but it appears that none is needed.

Obama started this kind of abhorrent behavior at the beginning of his first term as President. Remember, the beer summit? It all went downhill from there. This is a very predictable strategy of a political party whose lust for power exceeds basic decency. This was a strategic plan to divide the country along racial lines knowing it would be effective and the media would run with it. Plus, it would destroy our unity as a country. What amazes me is the total lack of integrity of so many people in this country. Truth means nothing to them. It’s all for the state. Now where have we heard that? Right, Benito Mussolini. Italy’s “Duce” of fascism. This is one play out of the democrat playbook and it is an important one. Imagine this country without an Obama administration. Things would be totally different. We would not be living the nightmare we are today. The division that administration created was on purpose in order to cause violent chaos and division and for that he succeeded. It’s time to denounce the lie that democrats are trying to shove down our throats. The vast, vast majority of whites are not racists. The hatred is coming from the democrat party. We are not assaulting blacks on the streets. This is a very dangerous strategy that has been allowed to fester and it will tear the country apart just as democrats planned. People who use race as a cudgel for political purposes are evil as are the media who run with every allegation. How about some reporting of the unprovoked violent attacks on whites and Asians by primarily blacks? How about the rioting and looting that goes unpunished? How about the videos of uncontrolled rage in airports, amusement parks, restaurants, and the brawling that follows? We are all supposed to be equal in this country. You are judged by your actions, not your skin color. There appears to be an issue of self-control and basic decency, but most of all honesty seems to be a thing of the past.

So predictable. That godmother needs to go to jail or have her a$$ kicked. Over and over so she gets used to it.

Why must black be so disappointing?
I know they can do better -- look no further than the military, by which I mean the 'old' military of the recent past.

Sports were meant to be for fun and exercise, we have practically turned it into a religion. When people can achieve something useful besides doing various things with a ball, I will be impressed. Seals, cats and dogs can do things with a ball as well. The racism is just the tasteless icing on the cake that seems to permeate everything about our society and we see the hypocracy, imbalances and overreaction everywhere, sports, entertainment, private industry and government. Get an education, get a job, become a productive citizen, that's what America is all about. The diversity thing has run its' course. When I saw that Mensa had begun a diversity program, I was ready to give up. It's all so senseless.

This is less about infantilizing blacks than it is about blacks getting reparations plus. Many, mostly the CRT/DEI crowd, believe that whites should suffer and they have been successful at it by a move toward destroying all things white: merit, accomplishment, history, education, entertainment, commercials, hiring, firing, humiliating, shaming, and outright racism against whites. One “educator” said that white people are “demons”. Another said that black school children should be protected from “white gaze”; in other words, white children should be segregated from black children. Blacks have white people on the defensive and it’s only a matter of time before whites are forbidden to achieve and prosper if the CRT/DEI crowd get their way.
Don’t underestimate the black move toward retribution and revenge.

Maybe we had it right in the past with complete segregation. At least the races could not blame things on each other, all we had to deal with were claims that whites got more and better things than blacks did without the inconvenient truth that whites provided everything in the first place.

I recall when Obamacare passed. Nancy (with her enormous p e n i s gavel) and Clyburn marched to the Capitol through a crowd of thousands. They claimed people spat on them and shouted the n word. Andrew Breitbart offered $100k to anyone with evidence that the purported offenses actually occured. To my knowledge no one has ever provided anything.
As Dennis Prager says "Truth is not a value of the left"

To the question as to why blacks are so disappointing......they are not pushed to aspire to anything higher than being race baiting crybabies. If no one tells you that you can do better, changes are you won't

#6 reminds me that, when 0bama was elected and everyone was ranting about how he would heal racial division, Rush Limbaugh predicted that he would make race relations worse. As was always the case, Rush was right. How I miss him!

It's not infantilizing of blacks (well, that's what the Dem Party does to them) but the double standard. Just as there are no left wing extremists but only right wing extremists.

I was born in the deep south so far south in Louisiana that I was south of I-10 that's the deep south. Growing up in the fifties we never gave anything like race a second thought we all got along and worked together. Race hatred entered my life when I was drafted into the military in the '60s being around northern blacks. We never used the n-word in our household but thanks to the Obama's and in my old age I sure do now because the blacks pushed it when they came out of the racist closet and in the open. They really do hate me and I found out how much because of skin color. The problem is blacks hate successful black people too racism is in their DNA.

Maybe Lin Wood will surface and everyone involved will be sued...it appears BYU and Duke, not to mention ESPN/Disney have deep pockets. And let's not forget the racist who started all this and her goddaughter. The "perp" could raise enough to pay off his own student loans, and maybe buy a mansion or two.

It's obama, the root of all that is bad in the USA today. I have been called a racist for saying that...no, not a racist. I don't care what color this piece of crap - he was and is a terrible person.

Agreed that it started with Obama on a national stage with a complicit media. But Obama had some very good teachers in Chicago. By good I mean effective.
Growing up in the Chicago media market, this is old hat. He was chosen , and several others, and groomed for greater power.
The groomers are a rogues gallery of politicians, pastors, and community organizers. And they are still at work.
What I find said is I grew up playing Little League in Gary Indiana during the seventies and early 80s. It looked like the United Nations on some of those teams and we all got along.

That is not going to happen. Blacks want to be able to get away with doing anything and never having to take adult responsibility for their actions. Maybe this is why back in slave days, whites said blacks were like children.
