Democrat Mary Peltola defeated Sarah Palin in the Alaska Special election to replace Rep. Don Young in Congress.
She is the FIRST DEMOCRAT to win the House seat in solid red Alaska in 50 Years!
Ranked-choice voting and mail-in ballots were implemented by referendum in 2020. Republicans allowed this to happen. Now the state is likely lost forever to Democrat cheating and maneuvering.

Alaska Republicans MUST unite behind ONE candidate for the real elections in November. If only ONE Republican is running against Democrats, the Republican will get over 50% and there will no run-off ranked choice won't become a factor. Some goes for Murkowski as goes for Pertola. Remember the last time she lost in the GOP primary but got re-elected via WRITE-IN votes!

So Alaska allowed the DemonRats to cheat again? I thought we were all going to start watching the polls and ensure no funny business takes place.
So much for all the hype about a "red wave" coming....ugh

clearly, ranked voting is unconstitutional, one person - one vote is or should clearly be the law.

Many thanks to the Republican legislature of Alaska for voting for ranked voting. You remind us why nothing is ever gained by voting for Republicans.

What? No Never-Trumpers to tell us all that it was all Sarah Palin's fault and that all we need to do is support uniparty candidates who reach across the aisle? Hard to fathom.

Ranked voting has been in California for several years. Unlike Alaska, which at least had a referendum on it, the California legislature imposed it, along with making ballot harvesting legal. Once it was implement the voters had the choice of voting for Kamala Harris (D) or Loretta Sanchez (D) for senator. No Republican survived the rankings. It is astonishing that the voters in Alaska approved the referendum. The Democrats are constantly passing laws that can only benefit that vile party. The Republicans are always caught unaware.

Republicans are perfectly aware. They want things like this to happen. It's all Uniparty.
I no longer vote R just because it's an R or to vote against the D or whatever.
I vote for conservatives. If there isn't a clearly conservative candidate I don't vote. There is zero value installing RINOs. They're just D with an R next to their name.
Stop voting for RINOs and we have a chance to take the country. Do not vote for the D who lies to you with an R next to them. They are not conservatives.
There is only one party. It has 2 letters. Stop voting blindly for R. Sheesh.

#9 National Review has blamed Palin (Headline: ‘Sarah Palin Instructed Supporters Not to Rank Candidates’: Alaska’s GOP Candidates Point Fingers after Special Election Loss').
Only about half of Begich voters chose Palin as their 2nd choice. That's why the Dimmiecrat slipped in with a 2 point ''victory''.

It was only a few days ago that articles said Peltola received 60% of the first-pass votes and that ranked choicing wasn't even invoked, so what is Hoft talking about? It was also consented among Ldotters that Palin lost the election on her own. Would like to read the article but the GP website has become a comic book, so I'll nust forego the whole topic.

Without Ross Perot, there never would have been a President Clinton... When in history did the Left ever sabotage each other and Conservatives won from a losing hand? I can't come up with a single time. It's hard enough beating the Communists, Media, Academia, Federal Bureaucracy, Leftist Activist Judges, and weaponized Federal Agencies... they don't need Republicans helping them beat Republicans.

Here's the REAL problem: Crickets.
Not a single Pubbie anywhere has accepted responsibility for this debacle. Elected Republicans EVERYWHERE should be flooding the media admitting straight up that they got snookered and the topsy-survey result proves the absurdity of ranked-choice voting. They need to admit straight up that they got snookered and pledge to find a way to change things.
But instead we have silence. Why is that?

The Republican Party is like that team that played the Harlem Globetrotters - there to make it a show but not there to win. With current leadership they are more of a threat than the Democrats because they make us believe there is real competition. Their perfidy may well have cost us the Republic in 2020 as they stood by and allowed the Presidency to be stolen.

Lisa MooCowSki is an evil woman. She votes with the demonrats for Planned Parenthood, and has against President Trump continually and voted for other Leftist evils.
She is behind the Rank Choice Voting. She knows it's her only choice to remain as Senator in Alaska.
San Francisco and Oakland CA have had Rank Choice Voting for years. That's how they got Chesa Boudine, son of 1960s terrorists, DA of SF, who has now been voted out of office.
Rank Choice Voting is a ploy by demonrats to destroy any hope of Republicans getting into office. CA did that with having the TOP TWO vote getters in the primaries run later in the General/National. The demonrats get the most votes in the primaries so there's no Republicans that can run in the General. It's an evil system and the Republicans haven't done a da..mn thing about it! Cowards!

Let's look at the "first round"...the results were 40.2 percent for Peltola, 31.3 percent for Palin, and 28.5 percent for Republican Nick Begich. In most states Peltola is the winner, period. No ranked voting, no runoffs. (BTW: We elect candidates, not political parties.)
The interesting results were in that Begich voters, REPUBLICANS, preferred Peltola over Palin in that second choice. In other words, poor Sarah isn't as popular in Alaska as her supporters would like to believe. Here's the flash: She's yesterday's news, perhaps best remembered up there for chasing celebrity after ditching Alaska's governorship. Yeah, she got the Trump treatment before there was a PDT. He fought.
Well, there's always November...

#21 - Without Ralph Nadar we likely would have been saddled with a President Algore. It does work both ways.
I put the blame for what happened in Alaska squarely on the GOP voters who ranked the Rat as their number 2 choice. That was stupidity squared.

Republicans need to do a better job of messaging on this issue.
You don't need to put anyone else on the ballot if you don't want to.
Seems many still put the other candidates on the ballot after their own choice, but I'll bet the Democrat ballots had no Republican listed(ranked).

Murkowski et al don’t represent Alaskans, they represent national interests who finance Mcconnell and the the National (read: DC based) Republican Party.
Palin has always spoken a little too much truth to Republican country club power. They make sure to keep her out.
