Democrat Mary Peltola defeated Sarah Palin in the Alaska Special election to replace Rep. Don Young in Congress. She is the FIRST DEMOCRAT to win the House seat in solid red Alaska in 50 Years! Ranked-choice voting and mail-in ballots were implemented by referendum in 2020. Republicans allowed this to happen. Now the state is likely lost forever to Democrat cheating and maneuvering.

Alaska Republicans MUST unite behind ONE candidate for the real elections in November. If only ONE Republican is running against Democrats, the Republican will get over 50% and there will no run-off ranked choice won't become a factor. Some goes for Murkowski as goes for Pertola. Remember the last time she lost in the GOP primary but got re-elected via WRITE-IN votes!

Ranked voting has been in California for several years. Unlike Alaska, which at least had a referendum on it, the California legislature imposed it, along with making ballot harvesting legal. Once it was implement the voters had the choice of voting for Kamala Harris (D) or Loretta Sanchez (D) for senator. No Republican survived the rankings. It is astonishing that the voters in Alaska approved the referendum. The Democrats are constantly passing laws that can only benefit that vile party. The Republicans are always caught unaware.

Republicans are perfectly aware. They want things like this to happen. It's all Uniparty. I no longer vote R just because it's an R or to vote against the D or whatever. I vote for conservatives. If there isn't a clearly conservative candidate I don't vote. There is zero value installing RINOs. They're just D with an R next to their name. Stop voting for RINOs and we have a chance to take the country. Do not vote for the D who lies to you with an R next to them. They are not conservatives. There is only one party. It has 2 letters. Stop voting blindly for R. Sheesh.

It was only a few days ago that articles said Peltola received 60% of the first-pass votes and that ranked choicing wasn't even invoked, so what is Hoft talking about? It was also consented among Ldotters that Palin lost the election on her own. Would like to read the article but the GP website has become a comic book, so I'll nust forego the whole topic.

With current leadership they are more of a threat than the Democrats because they make us believe there is real competition. Their perfidy may well have cost us the Republic in 2020 as they stood by and allowed the Presidency to be stolen.

Lisa MooCowSki is an evil woman. She votes with the demonrats for Planned Parenthood, and has against President Trump continually and voted for other Leftist evils. She is behind the Rank Choice Voting. She knows it's her only choice to remain as Senator in Alaska. San Francisco and Oakland CA have had Rank Choice Voting for years. That's how they got Chesa Boudine, son of 1960s terrorists, DA of SF, who has now been voted out of office. Rank Choice Voting is a ploy by demonrats to destroy any hope of Republicans getting into office. CA did that with having the TOP TWO vote getters in the primaries run later in the General/National. The demonrats get the most votes in the primaries so there's no Republicans that can run in the General. It's an evil system and the Republicans haven't done a da..mn thing about it! Cowards!

Let's look at the "first round"...the results were 40.2 percent for Peltola, 31.3 percent for Palin, and 28.5 percent for Republican Nick Begich. In most states Peltola is the winner, period. No ranked voting, no runoffs. (BTW: We elect candidates, not political parties.) The interesting results were in that Begich voters, REPUBLICANS, preferred Peltola over Palin in that second choice. In other words, poor Sarah isn't as popular in Alaska as her supporters would like to believe. Here's the flash: She's yesterday's news, perhaps best remembered up there for chasing celebrity after ditching Alaska's governorship. Yeah, she got the Trump treatment before there was a PDT. He fought. Well, there's always November...

Republicans need to do a better job of messaging on this issue. You don't need to put anyone else on the ballot if you don't want to. Seems many still put the other candidates on the ballot after their own choice, but I'll bet the Democrat ballots had no Republican listed(ranked).

Two stories in the news strike a common chord: the need to stop infantilizing minority, especially black, populations. The first comes from the world of sports and involves the familiar racial hate incident hoax. Briefly, the Duke women’s volleyball team played a match at Brigham Young University, and lost. After the match, the godmother of one of the Duke players, who is black, tweeted that someone in the BYU crowd had yelled the “N-word” at her goddaughter when she was serving. It turned out that she (the godmother) is a virulent anti-white racist (“These white folks ain’t never had they ass kicked, but they better get used to it”).

At some point, these horrible RINOs will notice there is no one standing behind them. RINO Senators Lindsey Graham, Mike Rounds, Kevin Kramer slammed Trump and said “pardons for January 6 protesters was a bad idea.” These same senators have SAID NOTHING about the men and women imprisoned today without trial following the January 6 protests. Don’t fool yourself, they don’t care if ANY Trump supporter rots in prison.CORRECTION*

We live in an era of stark political division, but there's at least one aspect of politics both sides agree on: a maximum age limit for elected officials. Most feel that after a certain age they should not be permitted to hold office. There isn't just agreement across political lines, but across demographic groups, like age, too. Young and old, including seniors, favor maximum age limits for elected officials. And far more Americans believe additional young people in elected office would be a positive for U.S. politics than a negative. (snip) Age 70 is the top answer chosen.

In comparison to Joe Biden, Barack Obama appears to be a picture of probity, wisdom, and dignity. But in reality, he's just a more unflappable liar, and now that Democrats are on the rocks in the polls, he's cribbed a page from Ronald Reagan, a man he's always had a curious fascination for, claiming that: “The country is better off than when you took office. We should all be deeply grateful for that.” If Obama were ask that as a question, the way Reagan once did, the open-ended answer would not have been to his liking, so Obama supplied the answer, too. He was all gaslighting.

The Justice Department issued 40 subpoenas seeking information about the actions of former President Donald J. Trump and his associates in relation to the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. Boris Epshteyn and Mike Roman, who were both Trump advisers, have had their phones seized as evidence reports the New York Times, however the new subpoenas have been issued for a wide variety of people around Trump, from low-level aides to his most senior advisers. The action represents something of an escalation in the investigation coming just two months before the midterm elections, following several months of relative calm.
