The Navy is threatening to penalize sailors who purposely misuse pronouns to describe transgender service members, viewing it as a violation of the service's harassment policy.
Sailors who run afoul of the policy could face administrative or judicial action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Navy Capt. Dave Hecht, a public affairs officer, told American Military News.
"Intentional misuse of transgender service member pronouns is inappropriate and inconsistent with the Navy zero tolerance policy on harassment," Hecht told the news site.
"The UCMJ prohibits provoking speeches or gestures, conduct that is of a nature to bring discredit upon the Armed Forces or is prejudicial to good order and discipline,

Plus they can't call our enemies names like Japz or Krautz - - the way they used to.
They must be called "persons of Chinese and Persian ancestry" - - before lobbing their environmentally-friendly, non-toxic hand grenades at them.

The US military, once a meritocracy, home to some of the country's best and brightest, has become a hollow, woke image of its former status of the world's strongest force for peace in the world. Thank you, Barak Obama and the insane left for making the world a far more dangerous place.

Oh, now I get it. Pronouns are the new N word. This will be hard to change or stop once pronouns are required on a daily basis. I can’t wait for the first court martial over pronoun abuse and harassment. They are destroying the military and our society.

Yet another example of how desperate our military is for recruits. Normal Americans surely don’t want any part of the Biden military fiasco, a military where you risk punishment for not saying “Yes, they” and “No, they” to a transgender officer,

Question:? When will it end?
Before or after all will be lost!
I hate to be hitting the DEAD horse, but as I see it we MUST eliminate the LONG times these people are in office.
We need TERM LIMITS now and not later. We are going to get them I just don't know where I'll still be alive!!???
My suggestions; Twelve years in the Senate.
Ten years in Congress.
And MOST IMPORTANT!!!
Ten years for ALL of the life long Hangers-on who are, in my opinion, the biggest problem!!

The irony here is the pride the military - including the Navy - takes in being gender neutral. Female officers even now wear the same combo covers as their male counterparts (and they look ridiculous in them). So, introduce a few confused individuals into the ranks and it's suddenly all about sexual choice.
Had an XO once who tried coercing everyone to stop using what were even accepted nicknames for their shipmates: Petty Officer Groskowski could not be referred to as "Ski", Seaman Ragusa could not be referred to as "Rags", etc. It didn't last long.

if a first line supervisor hauls in a soldier, sailor, Marine or airman on this type of "offense" the supervisor should be reprimanded and not the enlisted man or woman.
this is the worst kind of mind control and must be stopped, it has no place in the military

He, she, it. End of my use of pronouns. And I will NEVER use "he" for a she, or "she" for a he, or "they" for a single person.
So, sue me.
The Normals are a serious problem for the Insane Left, which currently is in control of the military.

I have a friend in the military who is trans-gender (and is also a conservative.) For reasons passing understanding, I can refer to as a "she" when she is not present, but as I consciously try, I screw it up when she is present.
(I believe this is because our unconscious pattern identification abilities. For the most part, I can distinguish male/female when everyone is at MOPP-4 and almost always get it right.)
She knows me and doesn't say anything about it. However, other friends of hers give me the snake-eye and the little talks about using her preferred pronouns.
I agree with OP's comment, plus the Navy is going to have a lot of people up on charges.

Proof that our government isn't focused on what is important. Our enemies call it decadent behavior. They might be right. Don't see how representative government survives when stuff like this happens. It will only get worse. In many different ways. We will prioritize nonsense. We will ignore what is important.

A completely bogus waste of the Navy's time and energy---and they know it. The key word is "purposely." NOBODY can prove what was in someone else's mind at any given moment, so it's impossible to PROVE that someone purposely misused a pronoun. I can say, "you said "her" on purpose" and they can say, "No, I didn't", and just whom do you think is gonna win that argument? The Navy is promoting this drivel because they want to sound woke and oh-so-caring to badly-needed recruits. Ignore this stuff; it's utter nonsense.

RE #17. I have a niece that is transgender. They identify as a male now. It is very difficult to use the pronouns they want since I knew them as a female for the first 20 years of their life.
Anyone remember Amy Schneider who was on Jeopardy? Very easy to refer to them as a female since that is all I ever known them as, but they were once male. Familiarity is a big factor.

The same bumbling "commander in chief" who abandoned Afghanistan, and left the Taliban with $60 billion in US military equipment has once again exposed his real priorities, He's leaving the border open, knowing terrorists, human traffickers and deadly drugs are coming through in ever increasing numbers. He couldn't care less about the impact of foreign criminals on American citizens.
The above are real problems. This administration demanding adults pretend a biological male is a female...or face the consequences...doesn't give Americans confidence in their feeble-minded president, or their military leaders.

"Conduct that is of a nature to bring discredit upon the Armed Forces or is prejudicial to good order and discipline" is cited as the reason for forcing people to use the PC pronouns. I can think of nothing more disruptive or discrediting to the good order and discipline of the military than a transgender person throwing a hissy fit over being called he or she instead of they/them or whatever creative pronoun they have come up with that day and everyone else being afraid of using the incorrect pronoun and receiving discipling. Everyone will just ignore that person to stay safe also destroying the cohesion of the military unit.

Going along withr the mentally ill doesn't help them.
Reality is always there, and it is always unchanged regardless of whatever sort of fantasies they weave and INSIST that others believe. Born one sex, die that sex. Fantasies to the contrary notwithstanding.
Their fantasies make them mentally deranged and should be incontrovertible proof that they cannot be trusted to do anything of a critical nature.
Everything in the military is of a critical nature during war.
Get the mentally ill out of the military.
