California cities ban new gas stations

Without realizing they were starting a movement in green energy policy, leaders of a small Sonoma Valley city seem to have done just that when they questioned the approval process for a new gas station — eventually halting its development and others in the future. “We didn’t know what we were doing, actually," said Petaluma Councilwoman D'Lynda Fischer, who led the charge last year to prohibit new gas stations in the city of 60,000. "We didn’t know we were the first in the world when we banned gas stations.” Since Petaluma's decision, four other cities in the Bay Area have

Talk about committing mass suicide. We must seal off Commie California from the rest of us. Let them descend into chaos and violence on their own without them dragging the rest of down into a new Dark Age. Beware the Communist Death Democrats and their fanatical Green Religion. They are coming for us all.

California does not have enough internal water or energy sources. Cut off the water and power and let them squirm. That’s what you get when you let too many rats live in one location. They overpopulated their cities to get the tax resources to fund their liberal utopias. Now the tax payers are leaving and they will go broke, until Democrats bail them out with our federal tax dollars.

The best way to thwart these smug city council members is to shut down ALL gas stations within a 20 mile area of that town AND to pull the plug on all electrical services.

Petaluma is and cities like them are committing suicide by green policy. Good intentions and stupid green policies that help to destroy the economy and the community are just as destructive and dangerous as the "climate change" they are claiming to prevent. They will just be contributing to rapid urban decay and poverty. If they want proof of their misguided green policies, just ask the people of Sri Lanka and Dutch farmers.

In the 80's a town around here decided to buckle under to the church biddies and banned all alcohol sales inside city limits. Almost immediately, on every road in and out of the city, booze stores started popping up just outside the line. More alcohol was sold than ever before and it was easier to find. I bet property outside this stupid place just skyrocketed in value.

The idea of Governor haircut running for president is made even more absurd with this news. If you want blackouts, $10 or more/gallon gas, no water, no food, rampant crime and homelessness, unlimited illegal immigration... - then it's simple vote Democrat. If you have an IQ higher than 75 you should be able to see communism is not the way. Let's show these "progressives" in November by expelling every one we can. Then we neuter the person behind the curtain pulling Dementia Joe's puppet strings and get this country straightened out.

My idiot leftist sister lives there. Is a pretty old “small” town north of San Fran. During the Summer of Love in 2020, radicals were marching very close to where my 91 year old mom lives in San Diego and I was getting nervous and about to drive the 25 minutes to her house to protect her, if necessary. I texted my sister about it and she just passed it off and that everything was fine—she lives in her leftist bubble there where nothing bad ever happens. Of course, she will never get it until something happens to her in her perfect world. And, she has never done anything for my mom but hide away up there and take her money. I’m not surprised that Petaluma would do this as it’s been slowly infiltrated by leftists over the years. I hope they have fun waiting for gas…idiots. She is driving down next month, can’t wait to hear her whine. I will not be nice!

Gov. Gavin Newsom is pushing back on criticism and news stories about his family vacation to visit his in-laws in Montana for the Fourth of July. A law then-Gov. Jerry Brown signed in 2016 bans taxpayer-financed travel to Montana and other states with policies that discriminate on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation. Among countless state and national headlines blasting the governor's visit to his in-law's ranch, FOX News dubbed it the latest example of Newsom "flouting his own state laws." But some key details were overlooked, or dismissed, in the frenzy, Newsom said. “My frustration with the
