Ukraine’s defense minister has described long-range rocket systems supplied by the US as a “game-changer” in Kyiv’s fight against Russia’s brutal, months-long invasion—but insisted the Eastern European country needs more help to secure ultimate victory.
“We are waiting for more armor, more weaponry from our partners,” Oleksii Reznikov told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Sunday. “The war is grim… We need more. We need it quickly.” The High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems—known as HIMARS—have allowed Ukrainian troops to precisely target Russian forces from up to 50 miles away.(Snip)Reznikov’s comments came days after the Biden administration announced it would send another

How about paying for them?

Gasoline on the fire...
#1. They ARE paying for them with the $Billions we gave to them.
How come we never see a call for a "cease fire"? Where are the international leaders when they're needed. Is this REALLY a proxy war for the United States against Russia? Why did the U.S. stage the coup in 2014 led to this horrific mess!?

If it were up to me the face of the US involvement wouldn't be near the Ukrainian war. There would be no comments but we have the human gaff machine, Biden, ready to throw gas on the fire. Send them canteens, first aid kits with wool blankets for the cold weather.

If "Lunch Bucket Joe" had not abandoned that vast
amount of U.S. weaponry (paid for the U.S. taxpayer)
in Afghanistan for the Taliban, he could have sent some of
it (free, of course) to Ukraine.

Why is Ukraine important to Quid Pro Joe? Two reasons. First, it draws attention away from his abysmal failures in domestic policies at home. Crime, inflation, the border, supply chains, covid, you name it. Second, Ukraine was a major income source for the Bidet Crime Family. Problem is if you keep poking The Bear eventually The Bear will poke back. Russia has more thermo nuclear weapons that a dog has fleas. At my age I don't want to glow in the dark.

The people we're helping to kill deserve it. Sorry, but the 20th Century is over and nobody wants it back. The weapons we've built were created specifically for stopping the imperialist aims of autocratic dictatorships. If we can send Russia back, shattered, then Europe can at long last become a peaceful backwater.

Despite what the defense minister says, the consensus seems to be that Russia continues to gain ground in small increments. Read yesterday that we've poured more $ into Ukraine this year than we spent in the first 4 years of the fight in Afghanistan. We've gotten ourselves into a pickle (again) - we either continue pouring hundreds of millions at a time into a losing effort or introduce the "overwhelming force" needed to achieve victory. Of course, we could cut and run (Vietnam? Afghanistan?) - but we're not in deep enough to explore that option yet.

The problem with handing over such advanced weaponry to the Ukrainians is that they will no doubt fire them into Russia itself, setting up a scenario where the Russians could respond with tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

It’s too bad schmoe and kamel precipitated this war by threatening nato and eu membership which would allow US weapons systems on the Russian border. I remember the US reaction when Cuba wanted soviet weapons.
I wonder if the cartels- whom schmoe is enriching and empowering- would agree to Chinese weapons systems in mexico.
Oh oh. I forgot. Schmoe only wants to talk about Roe and a child’s right to transition.

Biden will gladly give Ukraine whatever they ask for with no conditions attached. The worse thing that could happen to Biden and his minions would be for the combatants to reach an agreement that ends the hostilities since that would eliminate the convenient distraction for Biden & Co. He doesn’t want the war to end. He has not done a single thing to attempt any type of mediation as he could and should do since the American taxpayers are footing the bill for the war. Biden is beneath contemptible. Absolute power has led to absolute corruption.

That’s because Putin pays to dollar for them as well as those black market arms dealers who get them into the Middle East and we know they will be used against us soon.

Ukraine asks for more rocket launchers and our Marines get to have rainbow-colored bullets for Pride month or day, or something. These are scary times.

HIMARS is only effective with accurate targeting coordinates
Where would you imagine that information originates?
If Russia opts to blind or blur our satellites this could escalate.
Ukraine cannot and will not defeat Russia. The best that can be hoped for is a stalemate but should Putin employ Russian "Shock and Awe" the entire country will fall. And then there is the nuclear speculation.
WHY AREN'T WE ENGAGED IN INTENSE. PEACE NEGOTIATIONS ???
Must be because something else is afoot and bidet and NATO want this conflict to continue.

If some foreign power had invaded your country, occupied 20% of it, and fired cruise missiles into apartment buildings, how much negotiating would you feel like doing?
Me? I'd fight to the death. Ukraine is an ally country to America. Helped us in the Iraq War. I'm prepared to send them high tech weapons all the live long day.
Let Russia be the one to beg for negotiations. Let THEM beg.

Zelensky will need a whole hell lot more of where these MLRS come from and they will come no where near as a game changer than he thinks! Of course we know that Burisma considered itself to be a major exporter of Russian designed weapons and its web site has been purged!

Ukraine has been ground zero for massive deep state and global elite corruption for decades. Both parties have fed at the trough. Zelensky is an Obama-appointed lackey with a serious cocaine problem. He has hidden missiles in nursing homes and among the civilian population, and has ruthlessly killed his own people. He is not fighting for his country, nor his life. He is the keeper of all the dirt and is blackmailing the US, the EU and NATO, who are more than happy to oblige if it means keeping the money flowing and the secrets kept. Russia is not losing this conflict; they are moving forward and are determined to see the operation through. They have also taken evidence of illegal US bioweapons labs in Ukraine to the UN. They don’t want that poison on their border any more than we would. So, if this dirt bad Zelensky is who you want to cheer for, you go ahead. I might suggest broadening your scope of news outlets.
