No Books. No Money. Just the Truth. That's the title of the meandering Substack post Steve Schmidt threw up last week at the tail end of a two-day Twitter bender. In that time, he didn't take more than an hour away from the keyboard, tapping out stilted and overwrought attacks against the late war hero John McCain and his daughter, Meghan.Since then, he's widened the aperture, lashing out at the living, from Republican lawmakers (New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts) to journalists (Maggie Haberman, Matt Lewis, Jonah Goldberg) and another subset of former colleagues (sorry, Lincoln Project).

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Monday on “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric was the “mainstreaming” of hatred.
According to Sharpton, it “opens and broadens the whole pathway” to people like the man accused of killing 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket Saturday.
Discussing President Joe Biden’s reaction to the shooting, Sharpton said, “If this does not make the White House say, wait a minute, we need to call in leaders from all these communities, and we need to send a signal that we are antithetical to Donald Trump’s presidency about that there is fine people on both sides

While the mass shooting of 10 people by a mentally ill man in Buffalo, NY, on Saturday stands on its own as an unspeakable horror, others have rushed to blame their political opponents for the tragedy. In what can only be called ghoulish behavior, Democrats (and Liz Cheney, of course) have decided that a white supremacist who describes himself as a “moderate left authoritarian” and evolved communist was inspired by various conservative figures.
Chief among those being blamed is Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. Accused of spreading “The Great Replacement Theory,” Carlson has come under heavy fire

Hillary Clinton’s top campaign lawyer will be among the first witnesses against a former colleague who’s charged with lying to the FBI, a prosecutor revealed in court Monday.
Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias could be called to the witness stand at Michael Sussmann’s trial in Washington, DC, as soon as Tuesday, said Michael Keilty, a member of special counsel John Durham’s team. FBI agent David Martin will be the prosecution’s first witness following opening statements Tuesday morning, Keilty said.
Keilty made the remarks after 12 jurors and four alternates were sworn in for the trial, which is expected to last around two weeks.

The Bank of England chief today issued an 'apocalyptic' warning about soaring food prices and said he felt 'helpless' in the fight against inflation as he told MPs the Ukraine war could yet deepen the cost-of-living crisis. He also warned that a ‘very real income shock’ is coming this year as prices spiral at the fastest rate in 30 years and make millions of people poorer in real terms—and that surging inflation would hit household spending, causing unemployment to rise. Abbott reached an agreement with the Food and Drug Administration on Monday to reopen the company’s manufacturing plant in Michigan to help ease a nationwide shortage of baby formula, after the facility was closed due to bacterial contamination.
FDA Commissioner Robert Califf said Abbott, under the conditions of the agreement, will correct insanitary conditions that led to the contamination and plant closure.
“The public should rest assured that the agency will do everything possible to continue ensuring that infant and other specialty formulas produced by the company meet the FDA’s safety and quality standards,” Califf said in a statement.

While it’s been clear for a few weeks that Republicans have come out on top regarding redistricting for the coming mid-terms, there was one final piece of the puzzle left. That piece has now fallen into place. A court-ordered map in New York has been adopted, and it’s lights out for Democrats heading into November. While the original Democrat map, which was struck down by the state’s Supreme Court, had a likely outcome of 22 D-seats to 4-R seats, the new map puts as many as 12 seats in play for the GOP. Republicans were looking at a modest 1-3 seat gain via redistricting after Ron DeSantis worked his magic in Florida

The highest-profile case brought so far by John Durham, the Special Counsel tasked with pinpointing the origin of the plot to frame Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, as a Russian spy and traitor to America, starts Monday in a D.C. courtroom. Durham’s case combines all the worst elements of media frenzy — Rachel Maddow’s fainting couch moments, “Trump Stole the Election” fake headlines, and packing peanut-weight Pulitzer Prizes — in a melodrama embodied in the person of Michael Sussmann, Hillary Clinton’s attorney and the man who represented the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election cycle.

The fever didn’t break. And for the Biden White House, efforts at bipartisanship have finally taken a backseat.
To the frustration of many Democrats and some of his closest advisers, President Joe Biden has steadfastly spent more than a year in office insisting on trying to work across the aisle with Republicans. It’s produced some notable legislative successes. But it’s also been colored by a fair dose of in-your-face GOP obstructionism. Now, more than a year later, Biden no longer believes that most Republicans will eventually drop their fealty to Donald Trump and show a willingness to engage. He himself admitted he was wrong.

How often do you see a Senate race where there’s a compelling argument that each of three different candidates is going to win?Typically there’s one or even two who seem likely to prevail plus a dark horse who can’t be written off. That’s what happened in Ohio a few weeks ago. J.D. Vance had Trump’s backing and looked to be a solid favorite but Josh Mandel had Ted Cruz and the Club for Growth in his corner. And Matt Dolan had an outside chance of sneaking up the middle by consolidating the less MAGA wing of the Ohio GOP electorate.

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) on Monday, striking down a rule that prevented him from repaying debt from his 2018 Senatorial campaign.
The case, FEC v. Cruz, was brought by Cruz after he attempted to repay his campaign’s considerable debt with political contributions raised in his name. Cruz, whose wife Heidi was a banker with Goldman Sachs, had lent $260,000 of his personal money to his campaign. Section 304 of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 limited the use of contributions in excess of $250,000 to repay debt 20 days after an election, which left Cruz $10,000 due.

Russian commanders are slaughtering their own wounded soldiers instead of retrieving them from the battlefield for treatment, Putin's own troops have said.
A lieutenant-colonel was accused of personally shooting dead multiple troops as they lay injured.
[snip] ... Russians spoke out about the brutal killings of their own forces within the ranks.
Captured troops recalled one commander asking a soldier if he could walk after suffering an injury, and when the man replied he could not, the officer killed him instantly.

The Biden administration is deploying US troops to Somalia. President Biden signed off on the plan on Monday, along with a plan to target some dozen leaders of Al Shabab. Trump had withdrawn troops from the war-torn region near the end of his time in office. About 450 troops will be sent to Somalia, on Africa's east coast. The troops being redeployed to Somalia are Special Operations forces, and the Pentagon has also been given authority to target leaders of Al Shabab, a terrorist group affiliated with Al Qaeda, according to The New York Times.

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday said there is “no way” that Elon Musk will buy Twitter at “such a ridiculous price” while pointing to the number of fake accounts and bots on the social media platform.
Trump took to his own social media platform, Truth Social, to make the comments shortly after billionaire tech mogul Musk announced that his deal to buy Twitter was “temporarily on hold” until detailed information becomes available supporting that bots or fake accounts make up fewer than 5 percent of users on the platform.

Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., are condemning Republican House leadership for promoting or failing to denounce extremist ideologies — such as the “great replacement” conspiracy theory — that police say motivated the alleged gunman in Saturday’s deadly mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, N.Y., where 10 people were killed. Almost all of the victims were Black. “The House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism,” Cheney tweeted on Monday. “History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse. @GOP leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who

The head of the Food and Drug Administration claimed Monday that the disappearance of baby formula from store shelves across the US is due to a “distribution problem” rather than a lack of supply.
“I don’t want this to sound in any way like we’re not concerned about the parents that are struggling to find formula for their children,” FDA Commissioner Robert Califf told CNN. “That’s definitely happening in parts of the country. But you know, the number of stock on shelves is about 90% before… the recall, and it dropped to about 79% at its lowest and we’re on the way back up now.” The Biden administration has been criticized

With vehicle deaths on the rise, President Joe Biden's administration is steering $5 billion in federal funds to slow down cars via more speed cameras, carve out bike paths and wider sidewalks and urging commuters to public transit. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Monday announced the availability of money over five years under his department's new Safe Streets & Roads for All program. The aim will be to provide a direct infusion of federal cash to communities that pledge to promote safety for the multiple users of a roadway, particularly pedestrians and bicyclists. Monday marks the six-month anniversary of President Biden's signing of bipartisan infrastructure legislation.

One of the lowlights of the Sunday shows this weekend came when Speaker Nancy Pelosi showed up on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash. Despite all of the other disasters going on around the world at the moment, Bash inevitably asked Pelosi about the leaked Supreme Court opinion indicating that the court is preparing to overturn Roe v Wade next month. Pelosi started off by branding the conservative justices on the court as being “dangerous,” threatening families, freedom, democracy, and probably puppies for good measure. But she wasn’t about to let the matter drop there.

President Biden announced a plan Monday to increase the supply of housing and combat soaring costs by preserving affordable units and using federal funding to reward states that use their zoning and land-use laws to provide more options. Mr. Biden wants to close the housing shortfall, estimated at 1.5 million homes nationwide, within five years. The administration said the crisis is years in the making but is hitting hard amid pandemic shocks and soaring inflation. “As President Biden said last week, tackling inflation is his top economic priority.(Snip)“This is the most comprehensive all-of-government effort to close the housing supply shortfall in history.”

In the wake of the tragic Buffalo shooting, investigators are casting a wide net to gather information while the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is reportedly questioning the suspect’s parents.Though in many instances, conclusions have already been drawn regarding 18-year-old Payton Gendron, a robust investigation is still underway to comprehend the means, motive, and any possible connections others may have with the suspect. Facing multiple first-degree murder charges related to the shooting of at least 13 individuals at a Buffalo, N.Y. grocery store that resulted in 10 deaths, the suspect’s parents Paul and Pamela Gendron are currently cooperating with investigators.

With the release of 2,000 Mules, patriots around the country are seeing the truth about the obvious voter fraud that was caught on video at designated ballot boxes. The Mules are those who were dropping fraudulent ballots into drop boxes. We know about the ones that were recorded and who were sloppy enough to keep their phones with them as they committed systemic voter fraud. What is overlooked by many, though, is that there is much more voter fraud evidence from the 2020 election emerging.

We found a video from the 2019 Dem primary debate, where Kamala Harris is looking and acting like she’s intoxicated as she speaks with Joe Biden.
The video was cut out of ABC’s debate coverage and we can all tell why.
It’s really over the top.
Now, the reason this caught my attention is that over the past year, I have done several pieces on Kamala, where she behaves like she’s drunk.
She gets really, really animated, and loud, which is quite a juxtaposition from her usual cardboard personality.

Two things inevitably follow a mass shooting. For one, the shooter becomes a celebrity. I don’t like it any more than you do but there’s something about evil that great that draws people into wanting to know more. Why did they do it? What drove them there? What kind of lends did they see the world through? All of these questions course through the minds of anyone who hears about killers.
The other inevitability is that it will immediately be looked at by politicians, media figures, and activists as tools. One should never let a crisis go to waste, and true to form,

How low can President Joe Biden go in the public’s estimation? Voters might be about to find out as he appears to be failing on every count.
An NBC News poll released Sunday shows Biden’s job approval rating has plunged to a fresh low, with just 39 percent of Americans approving of the job he’s doing and 56 percent disapproving.
Those numbers represents the lowest mark of his presidency.
Inflation, the economy and border security are the three main areas where voters see Biden failing them. The overall cost of living is standing as the public’s top issue.

For those who scoff that Florida’s new education law bans “non-existent” gender indoctrination, let the tale of Fairfax County, Virginia serve as a wake-up call.
Fairfax County’s school board has long prided itself on leading the way for the nation in cutting-edge education policy and curriculum. As the tenth-largest district in the nation, it holds disproportionate sway over other school boards.
In 2015, the Fairfax school board blindsided parents with changes to its non-discrimination policy, followed by a sweeping expansion of the sex-ed curriculum and new rules governing student offenses and penalties.

Hart Research Associates, a Democrat-run polling organization, released a poll taken from May 5-10 that asked voters about various issues as well as their general feeling about how the country is doing. The numbers are spectacularly grim for Joe Biden and the Democrat party generally. These numbers do two things: They bode well for Republicans taking over Congress in the midterm elections and they make Democrat cheating more difficult because it’s impossible for Democrats to have final outcomes that deviate too much from the mood of the country.
It's not a random opinion to say that Hart Research is a Democrat polling organization.

A Donald Trump return to the White House will see Dr. Anthony Fauci heading for the exit, America’s top infectious disease expert promised Sunday.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director used an interview on CNN to reveal he does not want to serve under the former president if he is re-elected in 2024 and would likely resign.
“If Trump were to return to the White House as President, and COVID was still a threat or there was some other public health emergency, would you have confidence in his ability to deal with a pandemic of this nature? Would you want to stay on at your post?” Acosta asked Fauci.

The differences in coverage of crimes in America have never been more glaring. Heavily biased corporate media plays favorites, as they always have, but today’s Mainstream Media Industrial Complex has taken a full-blown suppress-or-amplify approach to the news that is both despicable and destructive. They suppress anything that defies their narrative and they amplify anything that supports it.

A few weeks ago, the Joe Biden team, in response to Congress cutting off Russian oil imports, tried to get Venezuela to pump some oil for us.
The logic, of course, was to let bygones be bygones, and ignore the inconvenient little detail about Venezuela's oil company being full of drug dealers, which is among the things that got them sanctioned and cut off in the first place. Why not have Venezuela replace Vladimir Putin for oil? It sounded so logical, so easy. Anything but pump our own.
Well, now the details of that caper are out and let's just say it isn't pretty.

By now, it's a commonplace to observe that, in accordance with Conquest's Third Law of Politics, our country is ruled by a cabal of her enemies. The brief Trump interregnum between 24 years of Clinton/Bush/Obama—in retrospect, nearly indistinguishable in the havoc each wreaked on the United States—and now the first term of Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., is barely a blip on the radar screen of Progressivism. As Mark Antony observes during Caesar's funeral oration: “The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.” Welcome to the boneyard of America.

As night follows day, the shortage of baby formula around the country has politicians shouting about the evils of “price gouging” and vowing to stop it. But what if “price gouging” relieves shortages and makes sure parents who need the formula the most can get it?
News accounts tell the story of panicked mothers who’ve had to drive hours in all directions to find formula. In response, President Joe Biden is pressing the Federal Trade Commission to “bring all of the Commission’s tools to bear” to stop sellers from raising formula prices.

When the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation had risen at an annual rate of 8.3 percent in April, the White House and many news outlets made much of the minuscule decrease from the 8.5 percent rate reported for March. President Biden issued a statement, for example, that called the infinitesimal decline “heartening.” CNN ran a story titled, “US inflation slowed last month for the first time since August.” This wasn’t terribly comforting, however, considering that the inflation rate has nearly doubled since last April while real wages declined by 2.6 percent.

White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said on CNN Sunday that he would not serve in that capacity should Donald Trump regain the White House in 2024. Note to Dr. Fauci: Trump would not ask you to serve and would, in fact, probably kick you to the curb his first minute back in office. The top doc, interviewed by Trump-hater Jim Acosta, simply laughed and said, “well, no” when asked if he would work for the Don again. He added:
“If you look at the history of what the response was during the administration, I think, you know, at best, you can say it wasn’t
