Hillary Clinton’s top campaign lawyer will be among the first witnesses against a former colleague who’s charged with lying to the FBI, a prosecutor revealed in court Monday. Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias could be called to the witness stand at Michael Sussmann’s trial in Washington, DC, as soon as Tuesday, said Michael Keilty, a member of special counsel John Durham’s team. FBI agent David Martin will be the prosecution’s first witness following opening statements Tuesday morning, Keilty said. Keilty made the remarks after 12 jurors and four alternates were sworn in for the trial, which is expected to last around two weeks.

He's going to call Marc Elias and hope he perjures himself, Elias is up to neck in this hoax and Durham knows it. His only hope of getting Hillary is getting Elias to flip and I don't think that will happen. If I was Elias I would be locking my doors and windows and worried about being ARKANSIDE.

Yeah, ok, so Sussmann and Elias may be dis-barred and do some prison time. The fix has been in for some time that they will be made the dims' poster childs. And the msm will program Americans to believe that this is job done. Then the real criminals in this case (who might that be Podesta, Obie, and Billary?) will skate. Question - Did you notice how much visibility the msm gave to the opening day of Sussmann's trial yesterday when the jury was seated? Answer - zero.

Hillary Clinton and this attorney Michael Sussman were walking along in the woods one night. “Senator,” said Sussman, “these woods are creepy. I’m a bit scared.” “You’re scared?!l” Hillary said incredulously. “I have to walk back alone!”

We think the Sussman case should be cut and dry, just like we think Republicans will sweep the elections this fall. But, hold on! According to Fox News, the Sussman jury includes as many as 3 Hillary Clinton donors and 1 Cortez supporter.

There was also a news report yesterday that disclosed that Elias testified before the Durham grand jury, which means that Elias has apparently already flipped, and is cooperating with Durham, which explains why Elias left Perkins Coie around the same time as his grand jury testimony.

The San Francisco Examiner's editorial board wrote a scathing rebuke of the city’s archbishop, Salvatore Cordileone, after he announced he would deny Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Holy Communion, over her staunch support for abortion. (snip) In response, the liberal editorial board blasted the Catholic leader for "punishing" Pelosi, instead of "right-wing politicians" who "[vote] against health care or funding for the poor." They defended Pelosi as a leader who has "consistently fought on the morally right side of these issues," and praised her as a role model for women. The editorial board argued that by denying Pelosi Holy Communion, the archbishop wasn’t being loyal to Christ.

A city council in Kansas has voted to walk back a measure that mandated the removal of “In God We Trust” decals from police vehicles after constituents pushed back against the ban, KWCH reported. At the May 2 council meeting in Haven, Councilmember Sandra Williams made a motion to nix the “In God We Trust” decals in addition to bible scripture posted to the Haven Police Department (HPD) Facebook page, the outlet previously noted. The motion resulted in a unanimous five to zero vote to remove both the decals — which officers purchased themselves months ago — and the scripture from the Facebook page.

ROME — San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said Friday that he was “guided by the principles articulated by Pope Francis” in his decision to bar House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion because of her aggressive abortion advocacy. In a lengthy interview with Gloria Purvis, Archbishop Cordileone insisted that he cannot judge Ms. Pelosi’s conscience, but “to be so aggressively promoting it — that’s not what a devout Catholic does. So I believe in her heart, she feels that way, but there is a disconnect on this issue.”

As a pro-life atheist, I’ve never been more confused. That starts with the fact that Ocasio-Cortez is herself Catholic. Does she consider her own faith “fundamentalist”? I presume she’d say the Church requires its members to be pro-life in their private conduct (isn’t she pro-choice?) but doesn’t require them to enshrine their beliefs in public policy. If that’s the case, I’d politely refer her to today’s news. Beyond that, she seems to be arguing that abortion is some sort of religious right. Conservatives have accused the left for years of treating abortion as a sort of sacrament but it turns out we didn’t know the half of it.

For regular readers of this site, today’s news will likely not come as a surprise, but much of the nation seems to remain unaware of it. The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has released its latest reliability assessment for the summer of 2022 and, to put it mildly, the news is not good.
