The fever didn’t break. And for the Biden White House, efforts at bipartisanship have finally taken a backseat.
To the frustration of many Democrats and some of his closest advisers, President Joe Biden has steadfastly spent more than a year in office insisting on trying to work across the aisle with Republicans. It’s produced some notable legislative successes. But it’s also been colored by a fair dose of in-your-face GOP obstructionism. Now, more than a year later, Biden no longer believes that most Republicans will eventually drop their fealty to Donald Trump and show a willingness to engage. He himself admitted he was wrong.

Republican obstructionism?? The Democrats have ruined our energy independence and printed so much money to buy votes that we’re now coping with 40 year high inflation…and I fear it is only going to get worse. FJB.

Had a great meal which I lost when I had the statement that the Rebublicans refused to participate in the Jan 6 witch hunt. No, Naci Piglosi refused to allow Rebublican participation when she assigned her hand picked 'Rebublicans' and refuse McCarthy's picks. Oh, just noticed. This is Politico article. Should have read that before I read the article. Would hav saved my meal.

The tone of this suggests that the author is unaware of a years long effort to use a phony dossier as the basis for thwarting the outcome of a legitimate election.
Or of an impeachment undeserved.
But you know what? I have no forseeable desire to ever vote for a Republican who even thinks of reaching across the aisle. And you Democrats only have yourselves to blame for that.

Bipartisanship has always meant to me that they are teaming up to screw us. Democrats run everything now so there is no no real need to.

What a crock of self delusional BS these clowns produce. This president has been a mean spirited lying hypocrite since his first election. The idea that calling his opponents nazi's, and racists is "reaching across the aisle". The democraps have a decidedly unbalanced view of the world. Bi-partisanship, to them, is not you give a little you take a little, rather it is you come over and do it my way or I will revile you and lie about you steal an election, slime a President who was legitimately elected. We are supposed to grovel at your feet and lick your boots accepting your righteousness and our unworthiness. Take a flying leap on that and bi-partisanship.

Over 36 years Biden has gotten used to the wimpy Republicans caving enough to continuously allow the passage of liberal Democrat bills in the Congress, however Trump “outed” all that and it has become known across the country that a good percentage of the wimpy Republicans are conservative only when they are in their home States, and not while they are in DC enjoying attending all the Democrat dinner parties.
As for Biden even his natural face left him during a bygone era, plastic surgeons made sure of that.

This is loon central. The GOP is joining Biden in giving massive funds to Ukraine. Plus how did the Democrats act when Trump was in office? I get tired of the Cloward-Piven News.

I have seen no evidence he ever tried working with republicans. Instead he blames them continuously for the failures of all his rotten ideas.

What a resume this Politico author Jonathan Lemire has.
Massachusetts native
Columbia University

Associated Press
MSNBC, where he hosts a morning show
White House bureau chief for Politico
And then his diagnosis for Biden's failures -- too much efforts in bipartisanship??
Just another Leftist incapable of honest reporting or analysis
