The breakup was followed by a break-in. And then—despite three calls to 911—a Bronx mom’s 12-hour wait for help. Jennifer Vega recounted the terrifying winter’s night when her recent ex-boyfriend arrived uninvited through her apartment bedroom window, slashed her leg with a liquor bottle and hung around for hours as she waited in vain for someone to save her this past Feb. 18. Spurned boyfriend Manual Rivera at one point went outside to wait for police after hearing sirens during the ordeal on Teller Ave. near E. 166th St.(Snip)“And I told them, ‘What are you following up on if he already left?’

Good help is hard to find. For his part, Mayor Dude has issued an indoor mask mandate for everyone ages 2 years and up. Maybe she should have called in a mask violation instead of a violent attacker.

I don't understand why this is news. I thought the goal of defund the police was to reduce the chance they could racially motivated shot a black guy. So this was actually mission accomplished. Regardless of the race, the police didn't show up to kill anybody.

FTA: "After her second 911 call, Vega recalled, the suspect went outside and spent two hours waiting for police to put him in handcuffs. He reentered her home two hours later, continuing to rant and rave before finally leaving as Vega continued her wait for police or an ambulance." Relax, ma'am. Everything is under control.

The liberals seem to want it both ways. Defund the police then whine when no one shows up. Eric Adams is a loser. This has to be clear by now with New Yorkers. Give him his 4 years or whatever then replace him with another ignorant loser. In the meantime, shut up.

Another instance of incompetent government inaction. NY government also had the necessary legal authorities and the evidence to take care of the “Nut Job” and keep him from purchasing firearms long before he showed up and shot and killed all those elderly innocent Black folks in Buffalo yesterday but did not act, thus causing the deaths of those innocent Black folks. Now tomorrow Biden is reportedly heading to Buffalo to attempt to politicize those issues to the leftist Democrats favor.

She needs to reexamine her way of life, the consequences of choices she made, and what she must do to improve her quality of life. Otherwise, there will never be enough police in NYC to come to her aide.

More than 20,000 Ukrainians stormed the U.S.-Mexico border last month, showing up at border crossings and asking to be let in under a new leniency policy from the Biden administration. Some 1,500 others snuck across the border between ports of entry and were apprehended by Border Patrol agents, according to new Homeland Security statistics released Tuesday. The Ukrainians were part of a record surge of non-traditional migrants who reached the border in April, exposing new challenges for the Biden administration. Customs and Border Protection counted 108,555 migrants at the southern boundary who came from beyond Mexico or the Northern Triangle countries of Central America. That’s out of about 234,000

A few director-level executives may also be on their way out. The news comes a month after the company reported that its global subscriber base declined in the first quarter of 2022. Reynolds signed the bill on a farm near Prairie City, about 20 miles east of Des Moines. The Republican governor signed the bill on a flatbed wagon backed by tractors and corn planters, highlighting what she called a victory for Iowa farmers and biofuels advocates. The ethanol industry consumes about half of Iowa's corn crop, and the state leads the nation in corn and ethanol production.
