It's Show Time for John Durham

Original Article

The highest-profile case brought so far by John Durham, the Special Counsel tasked with pinpointing the origin of the plot to frame Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, as a Russian spy and traitor to America, starts Monday in a D.C. courtroom. Durham’s case combines all the worst elements of media frenzy — Rachel Maddow’s fainting couch moments, “Trump Stole the Election” fake headlines, and packing peanut-weight Pulitzer Prizes — in a melodrama embodied in the person of Michael Sussmann, Hillary Clinton’s attorney and the man who represented the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election cycle.

Princeton University is planning to fire one of the most distinguished classics professors in the country, Joshua Katz, after his criticism of the school’s racial politics made him the target of student protests and the subject of two separate university investigations. University president Christopher Eisgruber—who in 2020 alleged that Katz had failed to exercise his free speech "responsibly"—passed his recommendation that Katz be stripped of tenure and fired to the university’s board of trustees last week, according to three sources with firsthand knowledge of the situation. It is rare for a university to fire a tenured professor, and even rarer for a university to fire a professor with Katz’s record:

The Democrats are in full panic mode over continually increasing gas prices and have been desperately scrambling to find someone – anyone or anything – to blame other than their own policies. They tried blaming Vladimir Putin repeatedly. That fell flat for obvious reasons. Then they decided that there was nothing left to do but blame the oil and gas companies. As part of that effort, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi cooked up a new bill to stop alleged “price gouging” by these companies. The legislation is titled “the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act.” It would initiate an investigation into so-called price gouging and give them a new

Special Counsel John Durham’s team in its opening argument Tuesday alleged that former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann used the FBI as "a political tool" to "manipulate" the bureau on the eve of the 2016 presidential election to create an "October surprise" against then-candidate Donald Trump — a plan that "largely succeeded." Sussmann is charged with making a false statement to the FBI when he told former FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016 — less than two months before the presidential election — that he was not doing work "for any client" when he requested and attended a meeting with Baker where he presented "purported data

No one can speak of evil without mentioning its attraction to the Democrat Party, which is now the party of official racism in America. Political evil is a contagion of psychological immaturity, self-delusion, and counterfeit justification, and its virus has spread throughout America's liberal ruling class. Its influence has scoured our nation of its fundamental values, and leftists are intent on creating a state apparatus that facilitates the separation of children from their parents, criminals from justice, and citizens from the Bill of Rights. This is a call to Marxist socialism that has no past and no possibility of a future.

Every conservative knows that Twitter does not believe in free speech. However, just because one knows something doesn’t mean that it’s not tremendously satisfying to hear that admission from the horse’s mouth—and in this case, the horse is Siru Murugesan, a Senior Engineer caught on hidden camera in a Project Veritas video. Murugesan is an interesting man because he concedes two important things: (1) working at Twitter has turned him into a leftist because that’s the mindset of the entire company and (2) he’s beginning to think Elon Musk is making sense when he says that free speech is important. Murugesan’s open-mindedness may flow

Elon Musk said Tuesday his proposed $44 billion Twitter buyout can't move forward until Twitter's CEO provides proof the platform has fewer than 5% fake accounts. "My offer was based on Twitter's SEC filings being accurate," Musk tweeted. Musk announced Friday he was putting his Twitter deal "on hold" while assessing how the company calculates the proportion of fake accounts it harbors. In a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, Twitter says that fewer than 5% of accounts on its platform are fake. Musk said Tuesday: "20% fake/spam accounts, while 4 times what Twitter claims, could be *much* higher." Musk did not detail how he arrived at the 20% figure.

Ed mentioned the rout on the river near Bilohorivka in a post last week but you can’t appreciate the magnitude of it until you see it. The Russian army was attempting to cross the river on pontoon bridges, crowding dozens of armored vehicles manned by hundreds of troops near the riverbank in anticipation. The Ukrainians attacked, destroying the pontoons and leaving the Russians trapped. The result was a turkey shoot unlike any seen in war in many years. The Institute for the Study of War estimates that some 550 Russians from 74th Motorized Rifle Brigade were involved in the operation and that close to 500 of them were killed or wounded.
