As my colleague Melissa Mackenzie illustrated yesterday, “the Democrats are running their committee like a criminal trial.” It is indeed blatantly unconstitutional and no one is attempting to stop them. Why?What is particularly telling about the hysteria over January 6 is that infinitely worse riots took place across America in 2020 — a series of genuine and decidedly violent insurrections in the name of Black Lives Matter — and there is nary an investigation in sight.

High demand for COVID-19 testing in Massachusetts has not stopped. The drive-thru test site in Randolph was so backed up Monday that people had to wait hours to get a PCR test. Monday was the busiest testing day for the city, police working at the site told NBC10 Boston. The wait tested people's patience. "We are here in purgatory!" exclaimed Halima Blackman. Blackman and her mother urgently needed a PCR test. They had a death in the family and have to fly out Tuesday. They decided to take their chances at the Randolph testing center at the Joseph Zapustas Ice

Besides our erratic weather and president, few things get talked about this time of year more than body weight. Not mine. Yours. The idea of objectivity or balance or fairness in reporting has taken a beating since Donald Trump arrived in national politics. What’s dominant today is the media elite constantly encouraging each other that their product is never activist enough. Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan was thumping the tub with a new vigor on Monday under the headline “If American democracy is going to survive, the media must make this crucial shift.” The crucial shift? More activism. More overt grabbing readers and viewers by the lapels and scaring them. "Shout it from the rooftops," she insisted.

Parent activists in the state say they’re concerned the strongest bills on such issues will be kept from public hearings and open votes to protect Republican lawmakers from primaries and angry constituents. In an era in which critical race theory and anti-American curriculum are shifting elections, that could be a fool’s move. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) must be held accountable for its open defiance of the Supreme Court’s directives. For decades, the FTC relied on a statute authorizing “permanent injunctions” to obtain monetary fines. That always seemed strange. After all, neighboring sections of the law allow the commission to seek limited monetary penalties, while injunctions normally only prevent future action and do not entail an award of any damages. Yet “disgorgement” awards — the return payment of supposedly illegal gains — became so pervasive that in 2019, for example, courts ordered that $723.2 million be paid to the government in such awards.CORRECTION*

Although the Democrats put most of their political capital in the Build More Communist Bill (known as the “Build Back Better Bill”), the bill that’s more important to them is actually the “For The People” Act, which has already passed in the House. If the Senate passes it, it will build into elections every type of pro-fraud procedure possible. To that end, Sen. Chuckie Schumer wrote to tell Republicans, who will be destroyed if the act passes, that they’d better pass the act or else he’ll destroy the filibuster and pass the act without them.

In this case, Fauci blundered into admitting that he knew that he, on behalf of the United States, was collaborating with the Chinese communists.
