Liz Cheney: Republicans Can’t Be Loyal
to Both Trump and the Constitution

Original Article

Posted By: hershey, 1/4/2022 9:30:32 AM

Liz Cheney, one of two Republicans on the unconstitutionally assembled January 6 Committee, rebuked GOP voters for their support of former President Donald Trump on Sunday. “We can either be loyal to Donald Trump or we can be loyal to the Constitution, but we cannot be both. And right now, there are far too many Republicans who are trying to enable the former president, embrace the former president, look the other way and hope that the former president goes away, trying to obstruct the activities of this committee,”

Comments:

Lizzie, the fact is, Trump loves the Constitution, and we love Trump, so you can go suck a rotten egg, and KNOW the facts and the truth will come out despite you and your fake committee...and we surely don't want him to go away...you, on the other hand, are another story...

Liz Cheney will be defeated in the next election, I believe. She is saying outrageous things in order to bolster her creds as a contributor to so-called news outlets like CNN. When she is finally pushed out the House, she needs something to do. If she were seeking the truth, Liz would not be saying things like this. She is not after the truth. She is after data points that seem to support her hatred of Mr. Trump. In her mind, Mr. Trump is guilty. She just has to find the crime that fits him.

The GOP are generally ignoring Cheney since she won’t be re-elected and has no political home left except with the pathetic and disgruntled little band of Trump haters who have all fallen off the cliff. In the meantime she should be called on to present a single incident where Trump violated the Constitution.

What provision of the Constitution is she referring to? And what about the right of free speech? Doesn't the President have that right? And didn't the protesters? Yes, those who entered the Capitol were breaking the law, but that was a relative few and Trump never told anyone to break into the Capitol. Trump also had legal advice regarding the counting of electoral votes. Maybe the advice was wrong but if he relied on it, he is not guilty of anything. Cheney is part of the Bush cabal that is still angry that Trump defeated Prince Jeb and criticized W.

We all know that W was the Bush family version, or at least one half of the version, of Hunter Biden. Drug filled party boy, like Jeb, of the Ivy league royalty. No accomplishment, not of the right stuff. He was however, like Obama and Joe Biden, a front man. In this case, the puppet master was Dick Cheney, like William Barr, welcome to the establishement but had to use the back door. Lacking the personality to get elected, he ran the White House through W. The failures of the Bush family to protect American interests from Chinese dominance and global are failures of policiies implemented by Cheney as well. Nothing in the constitution supports the misuse of American lives and money to advance interests of no benefit to America and those inside its borders.

Will be interesting to find out how much exculpatory information has been withheld from people like Liz Cheney, so she can continue to make ignorant comments. And, just because you still believe yourself to be a Republican, Liz, does not mean the committee is bipartisan. Ask yourself who is in charge of the Capitol police (hint: nancy pelosi), and ask again why she turned down the offer of National Guard troops. Then, ask why you have not called Ray Epps and others who look to be leading the group into the Capitol building, or breaking into the building? Now, ask yourself, how many would scale the walls instead of simply climbing the stairs which are nearby? Doubtful a dozen or so folks simply found themselves at that particular place and ready to scale the wall up to the Capitol unless they were trained for that type of thing like the possibility of undercover FBI agents possibly.

Even before the midterms, there was a latent feeling among half of Republicans that Trump, given his age, and the animus he incurs among the rich Left and touchy independents, might retire to the role of kingmaker, rather than try a third presidential election. Trump’s eruptions, coupled with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stunning and singular midterm success, ensured that such prior latent conservative unease is now overt.
