Social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have been chock full of posts over the last 24 hours or so from understandably angry folks in the Virginia/D.C. area who have either been stuck for hours on I-95 in the middle of freezing temperatures and snow on the roads or who have family members and friends who are.
The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore, someone who you never want to see in your state because when he’s there that usually means trouble is ahead, tweeted out a map image this morning showing how long the logjam is. He noted that “some people” had been stuck in their vehicles “for over eight hours”:

I'm surprised they didn't blame Robert E. Lee.

I wasn't aware that state governors control the weather.
Maybe these stranded motorists should have checked the weather before they left on their trip.

It's probably just as well that I'm banned from posting on Twitter. If I weren't, my responses to these blithering libtard ignoramuses would likely get me banned.

Glenn Youngkin won't be governor until Jan 15. Hard for him to do anything.
Northam is MIA. Oops.

They are all wrong.
It was the first phase of AOC's climate change debacle.

Dumb idiots should have left before the storm or the state should have requested a shutdown anticipating the storm. Libs always react rather than act it’s in their DNA!

Where's Coonman when you truly need him?

Wit until you see the mess left when everyone has an electric car. They'll be cleaning up the mess off the roads for weeks.

Coonman did all he could to destroy Virginia State Police. I'm sure the lack of State Police made this ordeal worse. Where's Northam???

A night mare for everyone stuck on I-95. No food. No water. No place to use the bathroom. One of the nice things about the USA is you can blame anyone you want. I'd blame Quid Pro Joe. He should have been going up and down I-95 using the DJ's hair dryer to melt the snow.

of course Youngkin got the heat for a natural weather event, even though he isn't even Governor, yet. the commies are foaming at the mouth, seething in anger at Youngkin because he body slammed comrade terry mcauliffe, the well known clinton rump swab in the election, which was celebrated by every freedom loving American citizen in the country.

Re #3 - the snow storm afflicted most of Virginia and not just a 45 mile stretch on I-95. I-95 is major corridor on the East Coast from Maine to Florida so no reason this one stretch should have been a mess when I-95 has not seen any closures for weather in decades if not ever.

In Kansas, when a winter storm is going to make travel unsafe, we shut down I-70. Usually happens in western KS, about once ever year or maybe once in two years for a couple of days.
It's called winter, happens every year about this time. Part of the "climate change".....four times a year. Forever.
Smart people are prepared and plan to travel before of after big snowstorms....not during. But then how many smart people live on the coasts? They seem might thin on the ground.

I have never even of imagined putting the blame on another person just because it snowed.
