It's hard to judge when you were not there but it seems that female police officers aren't giving a very good account of themselves lately. They could have legally taken both of these animals out when the gun appeared in Sullivan's hands - a jammed gun. Police hesitate now when the perps are of the golden race and that hesitation can cost them their lives.

Use of deadly force by police has always been authorized when a suspect attempts to relieve an officer of his weapon. In Ferguson they build memorials to the suspects who attempt it. Hopefully both these murderers get death.

Approximately 1 out of 4 police officers are killed with their own weapons. Police officer friends have told me that they are taught in the police academy that "you can never lose a fight, because losing a fight means your gun will be used to kill you". Sad, and evil story.

Sad, but what do you think is going to happen when they start sending social workers to respond to such calls instead of supposedly trained police officers? It will not be good. In this instance, of course in hindsight, those two police officers should have called for back up, and waited for their back up to be there with them, before they approached the people who murdered them, especially with known racially based tribal warfare against police underway in the USA, but apparently did not. Hopefully the powers at be will not release the perpetrators back into the “community” in keeping with the “woke” spirit of “equity”.

Lots of presumptions and assumptions here... After five knocks and "I'm getting dressed", I would be highly suspicious of what was going in in that room. They weren't preparing drinks and hors d'oeuvres for the officers. As #14 mentioned, one would think calling in backup would have been in order given the circumstances. Rushing a door, i.e. kill zone, apparently wasn't wise, either. One would think the perps were trapped in the hotel room, with very limited emergency egress likely easily covered. So, now the state wants the Feds to prosecute so these two can get the death penalty. See, Illinois did away with the death penalty in 2011 under Democrat Governor Pat Quinn.

Black Lives Matter has achieved something - they have convinced the police to wait just a second or two before taking appropriate action. The death of this officer is just one example of that. And in case you people have forgotten, Dementia Jo's position on the use of force by police is to 'shoot (the perp) in the leg.'
