Furious drivers stranded on I-95 in Virginia for more than 19 hours without gas, food and water are demanding that Governor Ralph Northam speed up rescue efforts. Virginia State Senator Tim Kaine is one of the hundreds of travelers stuck along a 50-mile stretch of Interstate 95 - between Dumfries Road, which is nearly an hour to Washington, DC, and Carmel Church, only 8mi from the Capitol - after a snowstorm dumped at least 11 inches of snow on the road and a crash involving six tractor-trailers.Kaine revealed that he is one of the people stuck in the snowy pile-up in a tweet early Tuesday

Anything that keeps congresscritters and deep state bureaucrats from showing up to work is usually a good thing.

So what? It's pretty difficult to tell the difference when you are present or absent, Window Licker.
They have this new invention called a weather forecast. You might have considered using it to find out that snow was expected, and to alter your travel plans not to get caught in the middle of it. Utter wankstain.

"Travelers grew furious as their woes weren't answered and emergency personnel were not coming to their rescue and Governor Ralph Northam tweeted: 'Sunlight is expected to help @VaDOT clear the road'"
I know that not everyone stuck in that traffic jam is a democrat who voted for the illustrious Ralph Northam. But it's statistically likely that a majority of them are.
Dems are better at lying and cheating to win elections, Republicans are better at administrating and governing. Embrace the suck, democrat travelers.

I-95 has been a sh**show for 3-4 decades. I HATE having to drive that section of interstate south of DC to about Petersburg. Horrible drivers, massively overloaded road, and the only alternative route is US 1 which runs through every little burg along the route, with lots of traffic normally and traffic lights. When people jump off of I-95 during one of these MANY jam ups, US 1 just turns into a parking lot, too.
I'm glad that my last family in that area is gone and I don't have any need to go to that part of Virginia any more. I have one piece of land left in south central Va left. I lease that out for hunting and may sell it off in a few years. Then I'll finally be entirely done with Virginia. I've lived there off and on since about 1957 or 58, as a kid, as a teen, and visited many friends and family there until a few years ago, most moved or died now. Lots of good old memories, but WAY too crowded and the lefty folks moving down from DC have pretty much wrecked it all.

#16, you be dissin my turf!. I can sit on my back patio and hear the sound of the traffic out on 95. I can even hear the Auto Train sound it's departure whistle every afternoon (Florida bound). 95 isn't all bad. You just have to know when and how to navigate it. Having EZPass helps.
As for Little Timmy, him being stuck out there all night is a good thing. It means he's not in DC aiding Schumer and Pelosi in destroying the fabric of our nation. KKK Blackface? He's out the door in 11 days. He's probably planning his move to Florida. This is just one more mess he's leaving for Youngkin to clean up.

At times that part of I-95 can become either a parking lot, or a racetrack. Speed limits be damned, and when bad weather hits, people will still try to drive like it's dry and sunny out. However, people don't know how to drive in snow in that part of the country. At least the first snow of the season as this storm was. Later, after a few snow events, people will get a hint as to how to drive in bad weather, but not the first.

What a bunch of wimps. Itâs not that cold, get out of the car and run in place. Have a fellow passenger shield you and squat (or stand). If youâre alone just do what you have to do and forget your modesty, you wonât be alone. Those of us who donât live on the effete coasts know enough to carry a few basics in the winterâŠ..water, snacks, a large empty can with a candle for a little heat, a battery operated phone charger. In the summer, some sort of shade, water and dittos on the rest. Ice is treacherous and no way to clear that much highway in a hurry.

In times like where you have no control over the situation, people end up helping others. Truckers shared food, people brought blankets and beverages. It doesn't matter if you are black or white, young or old, male or female, you make the best of it with what you have. What Tim has is influence. Why didn't HE call people he knows to get help, bring supplies, food, heat or address medical needs?

I live in NEFL and currently have in my car a blanket and an extra warm jacket. I also have a flashlight and cables to charge everything.
When I lived in Vermont and drove my RWD Previa, I had four studded snows, two blankets, a box of chemical hand warmers from Costco, a pillow, assorted scrapers and shovels, chains for my tires, several bottles of Heet Dry Gas, assorted non-perishable snacks, flashlights, emergency flares and two 20lb bags of cat litter, one over each rear tire. In the spring, the litter was donated to the Humane Society. Everything else fit either on a seat or under it.
There is NO excuse for driving in the winter and not being prepared for emergencies!

This is the reason that I don't drive up 95 any more. This section of the road, no matter what the weather, always adds two to four hours to our trip. We now go out through Pennsylvania, which adds about an hour to the drive but we never have any traffic problems. To bad that little Timmy Kaine got stuck. Sen. Kaine has now gotten a taste of what it's like to be one of the peasants that pay for everything that you clowns in DC steal our money for.
