High demand for COVID-19 testing in Massachusetts has not stopped. The drive-thru test site in Randolph was so backed up Monday that people had to wait hours to get a PCR test. Monday was the busiest testing day for the city, police working at the site told NBC10 Boston. The wait tested people's patience. "We are here in purgatory!" exclaimed Halima Blackman. Blackman and her mother urgently needed a PCR test. They had a death in the family and have to fly out Tuesday. They decided to take their chances at the Randolph testing center at the Joseph Zapustas Ice

Comments:

This is happening everywhere. Nervous Nellies are rushing out to get tested while schools and some employers require testing. Another Biden screw-up.

did not the CDC "withdraw" the recommendation to the FDA on the use of RT- PCR on Dec 31? Conflicting explanations from other faster testing available to PCR unreliable. Of course it all depends on the source as the government explanation, as usual, is not definite leaving room for speculation

This is unbelievable !!! People rushing out to be tested to see if they’re SICK !!! We have people showing up at the ER that want to be tested. They aren’t feeling sick. They know someone who has Covid or have been “exposed” to someone that has Covid. Therefore they “need” tested. I told one of the doctors that we should be doing X-rays on everyone that walks in the door because they might have lung cancer and we aren’t going to know if we don’t do a X-ray. We just need to be safe. He didn’t appreciate my point of view. Too bad !!!

Now employers are demanding a negative test after quarantining before people are allowed back to work. Meanwhile, Comrade Potato Head still has not signed a contract for the tests he has been babbling about for two weeks, and the new website where people can get their non-existent tests sent to them has also not been built yet. Heck of a job there, Plugs.

A friend in the Marines had to get a test yesterday in KC area. He had an "appointment" for nose swab at 3:40. He didn't get out until well after 5 pm. Still tests positive, but has been symptom free for 4 days...so put on med leave and can't travel home until he tests negative. Wuhan insanity.

SOME of them are getting tests required before going back to work. My Marine friend was ordered to get tested after he got sick, which he had to report by phone, too. He had to get a negative test prior to traveling back to his unit. So, SOME have a real reason. Seems like huge numbers are just being hysterical.

Most people look at the choice of Kamala Harris for Vice President and scratch their head. “Why would anyone pick a person so wildly devoid of political talent or even the basics of likability?” they wonder. The conventional wisdom is that she checked the right number of boxes to fulfill left-wing interest group demands, which is partially true, of course. Overlooked, however, is how there is one more, rather good and important reason Joe Biden, or really any politician, would pick someone like Harris: because by comparison, you’ll always look better. Harris is such a singularly grating personality that she polls lower than lemon juice on an open wound.
