Former President Donald Trump announced he has canceled a press conference scheduled on January 6th, the one-year anniversary of the violent Capitol Hill protests, and will instead express his thoughts at an Arizona rally. "In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media, I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, and instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, January 15th, in Arizona—It will be a big crowd!" Trump said in a statement Tuesday evening.

Bad move, Mr. President. That’s 2. The first was your vaccine stance. You are still allowing yourself to receive bad advice.

I suspect it could be a security issue, #1, so I am going to go easy here. These are extremely dangerous days for President Trump.

Great idea ...allow the fake media, Dems, Liz & Nancy to have their day! Since when has the media been fair to Trump?

A plot to take him out at the rally may have been uncovered. Or, at the least, a massive disturbance was planned. He made the right choice to cancel it. Also, the Arizona venue will be more visible and productive because the msm will not be able to resort to a coverage blackout as easily.

Trump using that day is acknowledging the day like he's defending what they perceive as a revolt he started. Let the left moan about it all day long J6 we have to move on and cast shame on them not the other way around. Fake riot that got one person murdered, that should be addressed by President Trump on the 16th. Quit harping on the day that the democrats believe was worse than D-Day. MAGA

I wonder if corrupt Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich will attend? He's still sitting on all the voter fraud evidence. Someone must have gotten to this coward. Another traitorous, feckless law enforcement official who sold us out. I hope Trump smokes him from the pulpit.

Perhaps PDT realized that, without him in the media that day, most people will not pay attention at all to the pathetic little show the demonrats have planned or to the anniversary itself. Without PDT to kick around 24/7, CNN’s ratings have tanked. So it makes perfect sense for him to bow out.

I never put it together before that day but Pence is NOT TO BE TRUSTED. EVER! I had my own database on China virus amending it weekly in 2019 I watched Pence, the Fauci and scarf lady act so serious to fearmonger the loss of freedom, lockdowns, businesses bankrupted and masks, for an engineered virus that was bad but not for the healthy. Then came the days of massive election fraud and January 6th. Another constitutional crisis meets the common denominator.

If President Trump does not speak on January 6th or appear in public, the demented democrats will have a harder time blaming him for anything. The crybabies can shed their tears and celebrate their PTSD without distractions.

The Democrats are busy self destructing and Trump does not need to interrupt the process. This is political theater at its worst. They’re going to wring everything they can out of this because it’s all they’ve got. Meanwhile, the rampant inflation, the border crisis, the out of control crime rate and now even lack of tests for Covid rage on with no solutions in sight while they’re focused on this as a distraction. I would rather hear Trump speak about things that matter.

Arizona is more important. There's nothing that can be accomplished by a presser on Jan 6th. It will be rigged with idiots from fake news.

Kate318. Might as well started now. Wrong on both counts. If you haven't heard, you need to listen to the following from Clif High.

Never take what Trump says at face value and it is good advice. Trump plays five dimensional chess and you may recall many other times what he has said has been taken at face value by the news media and many of his own supporters and been proven wrong every single time. This is another one of those moments. There is nothing he does that isn't calculated. He's very good at chess and this more complicated than any of us know.
2) Trump has had dozens of attempts on his life throughout his Presidency and despite the current situation (which is not as it appears to most), is no exception. The one thing you should remember is that his adversary is the Deep State and they harbor no hesitation in destroying & killing Americans & many others without a nanosecond's thought. You might consider that before you make the mistake of that consideration.

I voted for Trump twice, and actually contributed (and for my sins get at least 12 texts a day cluttering up my life, from the Donald, his offspring and friends, begging for cash, and that includes texts from Marco Rubio, whom I also gave $ to, literally BEGGING--how dumb dies he think I am?) and I also think there was lst class fraud in the last election BUT I also think that as long as Trump cares more about himself and his damaged ego than the American people, I will not give a dime or vote for him., no matter how good he was....and he was. The 2020 election will never be overturned, and it is IMPERATIVE that we block HR1 and other Democratic election assaults so it doesn't happen again. Instead, Trump puts Perdue into the Ga. race which will mean the Republican vote will spit and Stacey Abrams will be governor. Etc. I am relieved he won't speak on the 6th but dread what he will say in Arizona....we KNOW the 2020 had tons of fraud and Soros $, and what MUST be done is tighten election laws so it can't happen again. Ego be damned!

Agreed that ''January 6th'' is of no significance until Pelosi and her Merry Band of Pigs can stir it into something. Better yet, just come over to my house on the Feast of Epiphany and we'll take down my Christmas tree and other decorations. IMHO, the godless contingent in Washington DC are trying to wrest yet another holy day out of our cold dead hands. Pound sand and take care of Brandon!

I would say let us see what The President has to say on the 15th. Then decide if it was a bad idea.

Trump will be better off looking ahead and let the leftist and socialist Democrat flog their dead horse January 6th mantra to death. As the 2020 election is now water over the dam so to speak. Especially as long as the leftist and socialist Democrats control the Congress with the majority of the wimpy Republican establishment and the federal courts turning a blind eye to what went on.
