Louisiana State University (LSU) professor Gerald Myers has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested in connection with multiple charges, which include child pornography, sexual abuse of an animal, and possession of marijuana.
Arrest records show that the Louisiana State University Police Department (LSUPD) was contacted by the school’s Agricultural Center saying that its IT department found files on an LSU computer — issued to professor Gerald Myers — that they believed might contain child pornography, reports WAFB.
Police allegedly found more than 50 files that appeared pornographic. The university’s IT department said its search indicated an external hard drive was connected to the computer,

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd praised a Lakeland, Florida, man for shooting an alleged intruder Wednesday saying, “He shot him a lot.”
Steven Stillwell, 42, allegedly threw a flower pot through glass doors in hopes of gaining entry into the house, WFLA reported.
The Lakeland resident then shot Stillwell “three times.”
Stillwell was still alive when deputies arrived and is now hospitalized in stable condition.
Sheriff Judd responded to the incident by saying, “I’m proud of our homeowner for defending himself. It’s called a ‘Castle Doctrine.’ He has the right to protect himself and his home from unknown intruders,” WESH noted.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention supports allowing students exposed to coronavirus to remain in school without quarantining as long as they are regularly tested for the virus, CDC head Dr. Rochelle Walensky told reporters on Friday.
“Test-to-stay is an encouraging public health practice to help keep our children in school,” Walensky said.
The CDC released two studies of school districts that employed the “test-to-stay” strategy, arguing that regular testing can reduce the need for students exposed to coronavirus to quarantine.

Pfizer and BioNTech announced on Friday that the companies will modify a clinical trial for their coronavirus vaccine in young children, after a two-dose regimen did not produce a sufficient immune response in children ages 2, 3, and 4.
The companies said that “no safety concerns were identified” in the trial, and that participants age 2-4 will be given a third vaccine dose two months after their second dose. Participants ages six months to 24 months saw a sufficient immune response from the vaccine.
Participants were given 3 micrograms of vaccine, or one-tenth of the dose given to adults over age 18. Pfizer spokeswoman Jerica Pitts said the companies do not plan

Two days ago the NY Times reported on another grim COVID milestone:
Coronavirus deaths in the United States surpassed 800,000 on Wednesday, according to a New York Times database, as the pandemic neared the end of a second year and as known virus cases in this country rose above 50 million.
The new death toll — the highest known number of any country — comes a year after vaccines against the coronavirus began rolling out in the United States. It also comes at a tenuous moment in the pandemic

Washington — Sen. Joe Manchin settled in at President Joe Biden’s family home in Delaware on a Sunday morning in the fall as the Democrats worked furiously to gain his support on their far-reaching domestic package.
The two-hour-long session was the kind of special treatment being showered on the West Virginia senator — the president at one point even showing Manchin around his Wilmington home.
But months later, despite Democrats slashing Biden’s big bill in half and meeting the senator’s other demands, Manchin is no closer to voting yes.

Former President Donald Trump has hit a wall in his efforts to oust Mitch McConnell as GOP leader.
Despite months of attacks, the Trump-led campaign to depose the Senate minority leader has resulted in firm pledges from just two Republican candidates and no senators, and it has failed to turn up a formidable challenger to run against McConnell.
Inside the Capitol, conservative senators shrug at the question, revealing a lack of appetite even among the GOP’s anti-establishment wing and continued strong support for McConnell as leader.

Neither the media nor Joe Biden seems to be able to deal with the simple fact that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has always been clear that he had issues with the Build Back Better (BBB) bill, from various provisions to the price tag of the whole monstrosity.
As we noted earlier, the AP chastised Manchin, claiming he was the “single senator” standing in the way of the Biden Administration’s grand plans. How to have bias and untruth there, all wrapped up in a fake news package. Then CNN analyst Kirsten Powers suggested it would be better for Joe Biden if Manchin left the Democrats so that Biden wouldn’t be blamed

A Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals panel has reinstated Joe Biden’s mandate that companies with 100 employees or more require their workforce to be vaccinated. The decision was 2-1 with a Trump appointee, Judge Joan Larsen, voting to protect America. An Obama judge and a George W. Bush judge voted for totalitarianism and superstition. The court also reinstated the January 4 effective date based on the theory that there would be mass carnage in the workplace without the mandate, and time was of the essence.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Biden administration’s employer vaccine mandate on Friday.
By overturning the 5th Circuit Court’s stay of Biden’s order, the higher court allowed the mandate to go back into effect, but future litigation by the plaintiffs is pending.

This is interesting. On December 14, TechnoFog noted the FDA gave approval to vaccine boosters amid 16 and 17-year-olds without consulting the medical advisory panel on safety and efficacy of the policy shift {SEE HERE}.
As correctly noted at the time, “This is the FDA making a cost/benefit calculation without knowing the costs or benefits. It doesn’t know the real risks, because it didn’t study the potential for adverse reactions in kids aged 16 – 17 years,” yet, the FDA did it anyway. The issue is actually quite alarming considering there are multiple studies showing that specific age group, especially young males, were negatively impacted by vaccine created heart damage.

Last week the corrupt media’s penchant for spinning all things conservative caused a near-fatal case of whiplash.
The left began by chastising conservatives for supposedly building “its own echo chamber,” but by the next day, when news broke that Devin Nunes was resigning from Congress to serve as the CEO of Donald Trump’s new media company, the complained-of conservative ecosystem merely represented grift. Both narratives are false, however, which is precisely why leftists peddled them so hard.
Axios launched the “echo chamber” accusation with its article titled, “Right wing builds its own echo chamber.”

“Moulin Rouge! The Musical” was the latest Broadway hit to fall victim to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the Big Apple as the show was abruptly canceled Thursday night with fans already in their seats. The sudden cancellation at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre was due to “a late-in-the-day positive test result in the company,” a spokesperson confirmed to The Post. Organizers will determine the future performance schedule on Friday, the spokesperson said.
A number of other Broadway shows canceled performances this week over breakthrough coronavirus cases, but the decisions were made before the audiences were seated.

The coronavirus will hit millions of Americans in a "viral blizzard" within a few weeks as infections from the Omicron variant pile on top of Delta, an expert predicts. Already, hospitalizations are rising as the holiday season gets into full swing. Long lines for Covid-19 testing formed Thursday in metro areas, including New York, Boston and Miami. The Delta variant remains a problem. And Omicron, with its high transmissibility, could strike millions more soon, said Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. MINNEAPOLIS — The former Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright while yelling "Taser" in a traffic-stop-turned-arrest is expected to take the witness stand Friday in her manslaughter trial. Hennepin County District Court Judge Regina Chu told jurors Thursday they were "almost done" and that the defense had two witnesses left. During jury selection, Kim Potter informed the court she intended to testify, and one of her defense attorneys told jurors they would hear from her during trial. Potter, 49, is charged with first- and second-degree manslaughter in the April shooting in a Minneapolis suburb. The 26-year veteran of the

Joe Biden’s Pentagon is continuing to discharge unvaccinated service members despite concerns by Republican lawmakers. According to ABC News on Thursday, 103 Marines were purged by Biden’s officials for refusing to take COVID vaccines. The report said at least 30,000 service members remain unvaccinated across all branches of the U.S. military, despite Biden’s vaccine mandate. The Marine Corps said 95 percent of its members received at least one dose of the vaccine, which is the lowest rate of all military branches. This comes after Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) requested the Pentagon explain its actions and whether or not the discharged service members had requested any exemptions.

Ever-determined to play the apocryphal role of Salieri to Donald Trump's Mozart, Liz Cheney is making a name for herself on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Jan. 6 investigative committee.
One problem: The committee is proving itself amazingly dishonest in its ambitions to Get Trump and it's now becoming a pattern. (snip) She literally made up a claim against actual evidence that Trump didn't try to call the crowd off, and called it the story as the press fawned at her. This is amazing dishonesty brought on by bitter jealousy and ambitions of replacing Trump, as Tucker Carlson has noted.
But that was far from the only lie in this checkered committee investigation

As far as I can tell, this is what we are now supposed to believe as Americans, in this first year of the Glorious Deep State's Blessed and Eternal Reign:
Our country is so irredeemably racist that people of all races keep sneaking into the United States at breakneck speeds. Our military is so well prepared for future threats from China and Russia that it can dedicate its resources to spreading transgenderism through its ranks, pontificating about "white rage" at book clubs, firing servicemembers for not "vaxxing up," and challenging "climate change" to bouts of fisticuffs.

A particular line from our Thursday editorial reminded us of something we’ve been seeing for some time now: claims by the media that Republicans in general and Donald Trump in specific are authoritarians. It’s a truly malignant form of psychological projection. The comment referenced in our observation that dissent is no longer the highest form of patriotism that struck us is from Northeastern University journalism professor and public radio panelist Dan Kennedy. He said, with zero supporting evidence, that the Republican Party “has embraced authoritarianism and voter suppression.” CORRECTION*

One of the many appalling challenges that have confronted Western European authorities since mass Muslim immigration began several decades ago is the arrival of adult - often elderly - men with underaged girls whom they identify as their wives.
Such marriages, of course, are not just permitted but encouraged under Islam. Muslims are taught to look in all things, big and small, to the example of their prophet, and they all know that one of the treasures of Muhammed’s harem - often described as his most beloved wife - was Aisha, whom he wed when she was six and deflowered when she was nine.

Peter Navarro is uniquely qualified to provide an insider's account of the 2020 events that circumscribe the COVID crisis. He was a senior adviser to President Trump during the campaign and through Trump's term in office on economic matters as assistant to the president and the director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy. Dr. Navarro graduated from Tufts, then got an MBA in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard.
Dr. Navarro has published more than a dozen books on economic and foreign policy. His China trilogy — The Coming China Wars (2006), Death by China (2011), and Crouching Tiger (2015)

The United States on Dec. 16 placed trade and investment restrictions on dozens of Chinese entities over their role in weaponizing biotechnology and other U.S. innovations in order to bolster the Chinese military and to further its human rights abuses.
Among the 34 Chinese entities targeted was the Academy of Military Medical Sciences—China’s top medical research institute run by the Chinese military—alongside its 11 research institutes, for aiding the Chinese military with biotechnology, including “purported brain-control weaponry,” the department stated without elaborating on the technology.

Chesa Boudin is a gaslighter. The let-'em-out Soros-financed district attorney of San Francisco, now facing a recall from angry voters, plays pol. He emotes for the cameras. He declares his fealty to law and order. He occasionally meets victims as town halls. He deplores crime on the record for the fawning media.
But then there's what he does in private, to real crime victims, which is enough to make anyone sick.
The Marina Times, a bona fide investigative reporting outfit that is otherwise known as a community newspaper, has the goods on what Chesa is like behind closed doors.

As COVID continues to ravage through Vermont, so too does the increasingly invective rhetoric deployed against those who are unwilling or unable to take the vaccine. A vaccine so remarkably ineffective at preventing contagion, that Vermont – the state with the highest vaccination rate in the nation – recently made national headlines for also having the highest case rate in the nation. And higher case rates have led to more deaths – many more deaths. There have been three times as many COVID deaths since the vaccines than before. CORRECTION*

In a typical doddering answer to a pretty straightforward question, His Fraudulency Joe Biden made the false claim that getting the coronavirus vaccine is an act of patriotism.
This happened Tuesday during an interview with a local Ohio television station when Biden was asked about the ongoing legal setbacks against his fascist vaccine mandates. Instead of using this opportunity to inform the public, he misled the public. First, he made the outrageously false claim that the vaccine stops the spread of the disease. It doesn’t. It only slows it. Then he also made the equally outrageous claim that it’s patriotic to get vaccinated.

Federal officials and advisors who have consistently boosted COVID-19 vaccines are starting to sound more like skeptics of the vaccines' efficacy and safety.
The face of the Biden administration's COVID response is now making the same claims about vaccines that got a contrarian journalist booted from Twitter, while the CDC encouraged Americans to avoid a specific vaccine.
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci cowrote a "perspective" in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) Wednesday that acknowledged COVID vaccines were not living up to expectations.

I am not sure who told Chevrolet that what we really needed this Christmas was to ugly cry over an ad they produced for the holidays, but whoever it was needs to go sit in the corner and think about what they’ve done.
You may have seen the shortened version of this ad, titled “Holiday Ride,” on TV. But you don’t get the full emotional impact without seeing the extended four-minute version, which is a tear-jerker and hit me harder than listening to my child ask me why Mufasa wasn’t waking up. [Video]
All the jokes aside, this ad is possibly one of the most needed

On Thursday night, the White House released a statement from President Joe Biden on the reconciliation spending bill, also known as Build Back Better. The bill, which passed the House last month, has received considerable attention in the past few days, especially when it appears the Senate may be moving on to voting legislation, rather than trying to pass the spending bill before the year's end. (Tweet)The statement was something of a lengthy one, taking quite a few words to try to get across what Biden may hope sends an optimistic message.

Former President Donald Trump sat down for an interview with former Arkansas Gov. Mick Huckabee for Huckabee's Newsmax Christmas special and boasted that he saved 'Merry Christmas' from the 'woke.' Trump pointed out that bringing 'Merry Christmas' back, over the non-denominational 'Happy Holidays,' was part of his original campaign message when he first ran for president in 2015. 'The country had started with this "woke" a little bit before that, and it was embarrassing for stores to say, "Merry Christmas,"' Trump said. 'You see these big chains.
