The O'Keefe Project: The Times Strikes Again

Original Article

We have followed the story of the FBI raid on James O’Keefe and associates of Project Veritas in a series of posts under the heading “The O’Keefe Project.” The most recent of these posts is dated November 24. The FBI conducted these raids in the style to which we became accustomed in the case of Roger Stone and appears to have followed them up with leaks to its friends at the New York Times. The New York Times has now published its fifth story on the investigation of O’Keefe et al. in connection with their possession of the diary of Ashley Biden.

NYT investigating O'Keefe. My bet is that actually, O'Keefe is investigating the evil rot that is the NYT. Fundamentals: O'Keefe reveals truths. NYT creates lies from thin air.

I don't know why I think this, but I think most of these FBI weenies opted out of 'Nam and/or duty in the middle east sandbox, so now they can play big and bad with their guns and armored black uniforms and helmets, against unarmed citizens. Where there's any danger, like in Portland or Baltimore, I believe you'd be hard pressed to find one!

For many years—most of my politically cognizant life, in fact—I felt secure in my politics. Truth and justice, I believed, leaned leftward. If you were some version of a decent human being, you cared about those less fortunate than you, which meant that you supported a whole host of measures designed to even the playing field a little. Sometimes, these measures had unintended consequences (see under: Stalin, Josef), but that wasn’t reason enough to despair of the long march to equality.

A student diversity and inclusion senator at the University of Southern California tweeted, "I want to kill every motherf--king zionist" in May, along with several other opinions that are being considered anti-Semitic. In May, Yasmeen Mashayekh, a diversity and inclusion senator for the University of Southern California Viterbi Graduate Student Association, said in a now-deleted tweet that "I want to kill every motherf--king zionist." The Viterbi Graduate Student Association's website is now "down for maintenance" but previously listed her as a "DEI Senator." DEI stands for "diversity, equity and inclusion."

Fear is now the only language our politicians speak. There’ll soon be a ‘tidal wave’ of Omicron in the UK, said Boris Johnson last night. He was echoing Scotland’s first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, who warns of a ‘tsunami of infections’. These watery metaphors, these prophecies of breakers of disease crashing on the shores of the UK, capture the extent to which the politics of dread and doom have replaced calm analysis. Covid is a transmissible virus. It is not a punishment visited upon us by Poseidon. It is not a hellish rush that will wipe away entire towns.

The editor of a British medical journal that published a Wuhan lab-linked scientist's letter disparaging coronavirus lab-leak theories said it took more than a year to get him to admit his conflict of interest. The Lancet editor Dr. Richard Horton testified before Parliament members Wednesday about the letter signed by EcoHealth Alliance president Dr. Peter Daszak – whose nonprofit has funded coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology for years – that "strongly condemn[ed] conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin."

Two teachers in a California school district are accused of coaching a student into coming out as transgender behind the backs of the student’s parents, according to video footage circulating on social media. School staff reportedly changed the student’s name and pronouns and also called Child Protective Services (CPS) when the parents objected to the transition, according to a twitter thread by LibsofTikTok posted early Thursday morning, which included video of the parents addressing the school board of the Spreckels Union School District on Wednesday.

Progressives Are Using Black Americans

Being Black in America today is a lot like being a football: Your identity is thrown around a lot, and you have no control over who is throwing it, or where. Modern politics seems to require one claim to help Black people in order to gain traction. Unfortunately, claiming to help and actually helping are two different things. And what we're seeing on the progressive Left is the use of Black Americans as an experimental lab for what can only be called a communist utopian fever dream. I call it communist because it's based on the kind of leveling of the playing field that Marx promoted.

Remember how the left not long ago went on and on and on about the supposed “war on women” from the right? The irony is that according to current leftist dogma, women no longer exist. After all, the Biden Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services is insisting in referring to mothers (once understood as a significant subset of beings known as “women”) as “birthing persons,” because current leftist dogma says man can have babies, too. Which means women no long have anything naturally distinctive about them. Christine Rosen dilates this problem wonderfully in the current issue of Commentary in “The New Misogyny.” Key bit:

Pro-life women and men alike usually laugh when they hear the term “feminist” being used to describe a pro-abortion man. But seeing as though it’s women who these “feminist” men are trying to impress the most, it is conservative women in particular who especially get a kick out of the absurdity of them actually thinking they’re dazzling anyone with their virtue signaling outside of the people in their like-minded liberal circles on the matter. That virtue signaling, of course, is wildly self-serving for reasons which should be obvious to everyone but which – shockingly enough – aren’t to some.

Joe Biden ran for president largely by blaming President Trump for the fact that people were dying from (or more often, with) covid. Biden said Trump was responsible for all of those deaths. But now, of course, more people have died with covid during the Biden administration than during Trump’s. So is Biden responsible for those deaths? One White House reporter–I assume it was Peter Doucy–had the temerity to ask that question, and he followed up with a question about China’s role. Biden’s response? A smirk and a wave of the hand:
