Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is a nice guy. He did his best not to flame Joe Biden, despite Joe Biden falsely claiming that they had an agreement on Build Back Better (BBB) on the numbers — saying that was Biden’s statement, not his. Manchin has never said they had an agreement. Indeed, he has consistently said he was not there and had issues with it.
But the Biden team isn’t very bright. They took that attempt of Manchin to be polite and give them a little cover for lying and decided to double down even further on the lie. Not only that, they are now attacking

Yesterday, MSNBC host Yasmin Vossoughian hosted noted anti-Trump narrative weaver David Cay Johnston on her show Yasmin Vossoughian Reports to conjecture about a possible indictment of the left’s most reviled person ever: former President Donald J. Trump.
“Meanwhile, the Manhattan D.A.’s investigation into the Trump organization’s business practices appears to be picking up steam,” teased Vossoughianin her introduction. Apparently, some Forbes reporters had recently been ordered to testify to a grand jury about a cover story they once wrote about the Donald. The testimony comes mere weeks before Manhattan D.A. Cy Vance is slated to leave office, on “what could be a historic™

Clean up on aisle 46. A White House official is on damage control duty for the vice president after her remarks to the Los Angeles Times. During an interview, Kamala admitted that the Biden administration was taken by surprise by the Delta and Omicron variants of COVID-19. An official now says what Kamala meant to say was that the administration didn’t see the specific mutations coming.
Is that reassuring, though? Kamala told the Los Angeles Times that the administration couldn’t claim victory over the coronavirus and that’s true. Biden declared that COVID-19 no longer controlled our lives during his July 4 address.

We’ve been indicating that the Build Back Better bill was likely dead once the CBO numbers came in indicating how much it truly was going to cost — that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) wasn’t going to stand for it.
Right down the line, Manchin had indicated that his chief concern was the huge price tag on the bill, which the Biden team initially claimed was $3.5 trillion. They then cut that down to about $1.8 trillion with some sleight-of-hand tricks on the social programs and not counting what they would cost over 10 years. But the CBO score revealed that if you looked

White House press secretary Jen Psaki issued a scathing statement Sunday calling on Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., to "be true to his word" and reconsider his opposition to President Biden’s Build Back Better Act after the senator revealed on Fox News that he couldn’t support the multitrillion-dollar legislation after months of party negotiations.
"Senator Manchin’s comments this morning on FOX are at odds with his discussions this week with the President, with White House staff, and with his own public utterances," Psaki said, tweeting out a link to her official statement on Manchin. "Weeks ago, Senator Manchin committed to the President, at his home in Wilmington, to support

A polling firm run by Democratic pollster Doug Schoen is flashing big warning signs to the Democrats not only as to the midterms but as to their political prospects for the future. The Democrats should listen to this because it shows that now their own voters are throwing them over as well.
As Schoen and his partner Carly Cooperman note, their new survey shows the Democratic prospects are “significantly deteriorating” and that the party is in an “increasingly unelectable and unsustainable position.”
What’s the reason for this, in the pollsters’ view? The “ill-fated path of embracing progressive policies while overlooking manifest political realities.” It’s for this reason,

In chess, a gambit is when a player sacrifices a piece, usually a pawn, early in a game to obtain some larger competitive advantage. We can now say that the 13 Republicans who voted in early November to pass the infrastructure bill pulled off one of the most effective political gambits in recent memory.
When Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., confirmed on Sunday that he is a no vote on the gargantuan Build Back Better spending bonanza, essentially killing it, it was vindication for the much-pilloried moderate GOP votes for infrastructure. To be sure, there was much to object to in the infrastructure bill, from electric charging stations to tree equity,

Progressives slammed Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., after he revealed Sunday that he would not support President Biden’s massive social spending bill known as the Build Back Better Act after months of party negotiations.
"Let’s be clear: Manchin’s excuse is bull----," Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., tweeted. "The people of West Virginia would directly benefit from childcare, pre-Medicare expansion, and long term care, just like Minnesotans. This is exactly what we warned would happen if we separated Build Back Better from infrastructure." Manchin said earlier on "Fox News Sunday" that he had spoken with Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., but could not reach an agreement

White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci on Sunday said he does not believe we are ever going to reach a point where Americans won’t be required to wear masks on airplanes due to Covid-19 concerns.
ABC News This Week host Jonathan Karl asked Fauci about comments from several of the CEOs of top airlines that “you are actually safer than you are in an ICU” on a plane because of the filtration systems on flights. Karl asked if we will reach a point where we don’t have to wear masks on airplanes.
“I don’t think so,” Fauci said. “I think when you’re dealing with a close space,

Today is the day Governor Abbott goes to the Rio Grande Valley to see the progress being made on the Texas border wall. The Biden administration continues to ignore the requests coming from Texas for help in handling the humanitarian and public health crisis on the Texas-Mexico border. What’s a governor to do? Governor Abbott is taking up where construction of the border wall ended under Biden.
Immigration is a federal issue yet Joe Biden decided before he even took office to disregard successful policies used by the previous administration. Because of petty partisan politics, and a desire for open borders, Biden has turned a blind eye

Democrat Party leaders are lowering their expectations for the 2022 midterms and bracing for a future wherein Republicans control both the House and Senate, according to a Politico report.
After interviewing over 24 state party chairs, strategists, and executive directors, Politico determined that the Democrats “are reframing the 2022 election as a defensive effort.”
Rather than keeping their majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrats’ focus is on maintaining their Senate majority and preventing the Republicans from taking control of the House by more than 20 seats.
“My goal is — even if it’s slim, if it’s by one — it’s keeping control of the House and adding

President Joe Biden on Saturday announced a list of his 2021 accomplishments amid 40-year high inflation, the southern border and supply chain crises, and Americans stranded in Afghanistan.
1.) Biden first touted vaccine distribution. Though the 2020 Biden campaign cast doubt on President Trump’s vaccination development program, Operation Warp Speed, Biden named his top success in 2021 as fully vaccinating 71 million Americans, Axios first reported.
Biden highlighted the fact that in December of 2020, only one percent of Americans had been jabbed
