Joe Biden Wins Big on His Vaccine Mandate

A Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals panel has reinstated Joe Biden’s mandate that companies with 100 employees or more require their workforce to be vaccinated. The decision was 2-1 with a Trump appointee, Judge Joan Larsen, voting to protect America. An Obama judge and a George W. Bush judge voted for totalitarianism and superstition. The court also reinstated the January 4 effective date based on the theory that there would be mass carnage in the workplace without the mandate, and time was of the essence. Some 24 different suits challenging Biden’s vaccine mandate had been consolidated into one case earlier this month. The Sixth Circuit, which is relatively conservative,

I guess I am confused. With this ruling, all hospitals will also have to adhere to this mandate as they probably have 100 or more employees. So will all of the Federal contractors, Amtrak, Boeing, universities, Textron, etc. so basically all of corporate America will have bend over. This is not going to go well if something isn’t done about it. No wonder the press was ginning up this new variant this week.

If the senile old goat currently squatting illegally in our White House does not have the power to mandate a vaccination for the federal workforce, HOW CAN HE POSSIBLY HAVE THAT AUTHORITY OVER PRIVATE EMPLOYERS!!!???

So I guess they will mandate monthly boosters to comply with the constantly changing definition of vaccinated. I guess we can expect electronic monitoring of status since it will be too hard to track otherwise. Bad things are coming if we don't stop it now.

I am one of the people who will be affected by the Federal Contractor Mandate that any Federal contractor must have a fully vaccinated workforce or face losing the contract. I'm a fully remote contract employee. Received the notice Monday from my contracting company that I will need to be fully vaxed by Jan 18, which was pulled back temporarily due to a court injunction. I basically have little hope that this action will survive the Supreme Court, just like this. And no, I won't get the jab since I don't like driving into concrete walls at 60 mph. Damn them all.

Comrade Potato Head hasn't won anything. I do not believe that this case even survives an en banc hearing of the 6th, much less SCOTUS. Courts are unpredictable, but the three judge ruling seems to be pretty devoid of actual facts here. I don't see any legal foundation at all here that supports it.

The 6th Circuit cannot overrule the 5th Circuit. We now have conflict between Circuits. Next Step: Supreme Court. Result: Mandate declared illegal as it's beyond power delegated to OSHA.

RE #5. A good friend has a similar situation, works from home for a fed contractor. He recently received his religious exemption after a BUNCH of irritating efforts to knock him off of that justification. First they tried "Read this list of other drugs that have used fetal cells in their development. Will you agree to never take any of them?" He agreed, even though it was obvious that the list was a fraud, since aspirin was a prominent item, and aspirin was developed long before any fetal cell lines existed. They tried several other ways to break him down, get him to admit some weakness. He would admit NO indecision, NO 'cracks' in his resolve. Some required him to say that he'd do certain things that they can never know if he does or doesn't do, and since they are being totally dishonest, he had no compunction agreeing to whatever they said his future behavior "must" be. Never waver, never falter, never give in. He got his exemption. Perhaps your company will be different, I have no way of knowing. But know that it is possible, through perseverance and care to avoid their traps and pitfalls for the unwary, to obtain a religious waiver as a federal contractor. And that he never goes in to the office except rarely, and offered to take a test prior to any of that, it made zero difference to these robot minions doing the interrogations. Best wishes to stay spike protein free.

The rapid decline of Hollywood’s share of the Chinese film market – the largest in the world as of 2020, when the Chinese coronavirus pandemic shut American cinemas and productions down – has created a small but growing market of Western actors landing big roles as the villains in communist propaganda movies. Hollywood studios have spent much of the past decade attempting to court Chinese audiences, which necessitates groveling to the Chinese Communist Party lest their productions get censored or simply outlawed in the country. The American entertainment establishment has tried everything – from spending heavily on low-intellect and inoffensive comic book movies to erasing even a suspected mention

Punchbowl keeps tabs on political spending in key states, and claims that political activists have spent at least $10 million in West Virginia to either influence Manchin, bully him, or prepare the ground for a 2024 challenge to the incumbent Democrat. What have progressives gotten for the cash? Not much, as Manchin has largely stuck to his positions regardless, but Mountain State TV and radio stations must be loving this: Over the last year, we’ve noticed a big chunk of issue ads targeting Manchin back home. The reasons here are obvious: He’s the critical Democratic vote on nearly every issue

After spending much of Biden’s term in relative hiding, Kamala Harris has made a lot of news lately. Unfortunately for her, none of it has been good. From blowing up on podcast hosts to claims that racism and sexism are driving her approval down, it’s been one conflict after another for the vice president. And to put it mildly, she’s handled none of it well. That’s probably why she’s doing an interview on CBS News this Sunday. When nothing else is working, get out in front of the bad news, I suppose. And while most of the interview is under embargo for several more days, we are getting some leaked snippets.

Working at the White House is a high-stress job, no doubt. It’s also the kind of job that encourages burnout after a couple of years given the workload and pressures. But Politico is reporting that there is a mass exodus of White House aides brewing, and it’s not entirely due to burnout. The Politico report comes the same month in which an article detailing turmoil and high turnover in Vice President Kamala Harris’s office appeared. Turnover in White House staff after the first year is expected. Some aides only take the job to pad their resumes. Others use the White House as a stepping stone

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is altering the rules for when health workers who test positive for COVID-19 can return to the job, saying such workers can return after seven days in isolation instead of 10. The change comes as the U.S. braces for a new wave of coronavirus cases from the heavily contagious omicron variant, which is expected to put new stress on the U.S. health care system. In a statement, the CDC said that it is recommending a seven-day isolation and quarantine period for workers in that field. "As the healthcare community prepares for an anticipated surge in patients due to Omicron, CDC is updating

Americans’ confidence in the economy is the “worst since the Great Recession,” according to a Gallup poll released on Wednesday. The Economic Confidence Index (ECI) is down to -33, which while far from the record low of -72 in October 2008, reflects a negative growing sentiment toward rampant inflation. Notably, the ECI is just as low as it was in April 2020 — the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. “With inflation in the U.S. at its highest point since 1982, Americans’ confidence in the economy has dropped to where it was in April 2020, when nationwide shutdowns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic plunged
