A Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals panel has reinstated Joe Biden’s mandate that companies with 100 employees or more require their workforce to be vaccinated. The decision was 2-1 with a Trump appointee, Judge Joan Larsen, voting to protect America. An Obama judge and a George W. Bush judge voted for totalitarianism and superstition. The court also reinstated the January 4 effective date based on the theory that there would be mass carnage in the workplace without the mandate, and time was of the essence.
Some 24 different suits challenging Biden’s vaccine mandate had been consolidated into one case earlier this month. The Sixth Circuit, which is relatively conservative,

I guess I am confused. With this ruling, all hospitals will also have to adhere to this mandate as they probably have 100 or more employees. So will all of the Federal contractors, Amtrak, Boeing, universities, Textron, etc. so basically all of corporate America will have bend over. This is not going to go well if something isn’t done about it. No wonder the press was ginning up this new variant this week.

If the senile old goat currently squatting illegally in our White House does not have the power to mandate a vaccination for the federal workforce, HOW CAN HE POSSIBLY HAVE THAT AUTHORITY OVER PRIVATE EMPLOYERS!!!???

So I guess they will mandate monthly boosters to comply with the constantly changing definition of vaccinated. I guess we can expect electronic monitoring of status since it will be too hard to track otherwise. Bad things are coming if we don't stop it now.

I am one of the people who will be affected by the Federal Contractor Mandate that any Federal contractor must have a fully vaccinated workforce or face losing the contract. I'm a fully remote contract employee. Received the notice Monday from my contracting company that I will need to be fully vaxed by Jan 18, which was pulled back temporarily due to a court injunction. I basically have little hope that this action will survive the Supreme Court, just like this. And no, I won't get the jab since I don't like driving into concrete walls at 60 mph.
Damn them all.

If one needs 3 shots to be fully vaccinated, what's it going to be in 3 months? 4 vaccines? And 3 months after that, 5 vaccines?

Comrade Potato Head hasn't won anything. I do not believe that this case even survives an en banc hearing of the 6th, much less SCOTUS.
Courts are unpredictable, but the three judge ruling seems to be pretty devoid of actual facts here. I don't see any legal foundation at all here that supports it.

The 6th Circuit cannot overrule the 5th Circuit. We now have conflict between Circuits. Next Step: Supreme Court. Result: Mandate declared illegal as it's beyond power delegated to OSHA.

Why do I keep reading things like "the 6th circuit is conservative" and then this?

RE #5. A good friend has a similar situation, works from home for a fed contractor. He recently received his religious exemption after a BUNCH of irritating efforts to knock him off of that justification. First they tried "Read this list of other drugs that have used fetal cells in their development. Will you agree to never take any of them?" He agreed, even though it was obvious that the list was a fraud, since aspirin was a prominent item, and aspirin was developed long before any fetal cell lines existed.
They tried several other ways to break him down, get him to admit some weakness. He would admit NO indecision, NO 'cracks' in his resolve. Some required him to say that he'd do certain things that they can never know if he does or doesn't do, and since they are being totally dishonest, he had no compunction agreeing to whatever they said his future behavior "must" be. Never waver, never falter, never give in.
He got his exemption. Perhaps your company will be different, I have no way of knowing. But know that it is possible, through perseverance and care to avoid their traps and pitfalls for the unwary, to obtain a religious waiver as a federal contractor. And that he never goes in to the office except rarely, and offered to take a test prior to any of that, it made zero difference to these robot minions doing the interrogations.
Best wishes to stay spike protein free.
