Cape Coral, Fla.–A Cape Coral man is banned from flying on United Airlines after failing to comply with the federal mask mandate. Adam Jenne wore a red thong as a mask. I told my former employer that if we were forced to wear masks in the office I was going to either wear a Halloween gorilla mask, or panty hose over my head like a bank robber and call either one of them my Covid mask.

The truth is that the vast majority of masks being worn are for dust. Only the high end masks will reduce the spread of any virus. They are pretty much only useful at containing spittle. And then there is the issue where the vast majority arent wearing them properly. If your going through chemo or are in a high risk group, wear a mask. It may help. But the truth is that keeping your distance from other people or not being trapped indoors with a lot of people is your best protection. Also, touch nothing! Ask anyone who has gone thru chemo how they kept from getting sick.

Horseshoe crabs have been around for 450 million years, surviving mass extinctions and several ice ages, but conservationists say the creatures could soon go extinct because their bright blue blood is vital to pharmaceutical companies. The blue blood has immune cells, known as Limulus polyphemus (LAL), which are sensitive to toxic bacteria and can be used to test vaccines and drugs for dangerous bacterial toxins before products hit the market. The coveted blood has been used for nearly 20 years and has been vital tool in testing the coronavirus vaccines currently on the market.
