Big companies are hiring for remote positions that can be performed in any state across the U.S. except one: Colorado. The rule’s aim is to narrow gender wage gaps and provide greater pay transparency for employees. To avoid having to disclose that information, though, some employers seeking remote workers nationwide are saying that those living in Colorado need not apply. Yesterday, I wrote on the extreme left’s efforts to pervert the work of J.R.R. Tolkien, arguably one of the most influential and celebrated authors of the western world. The reason, I wrote, was that twisting and perverting the tales of Middle Earth isn’t just because they hate Tolkien (whom they think is racist), but because they know his work is influential and want to utilize that influence to sell people on their ideas. Tolkien’s work is hardly the first successful property the extreme left has tried to appropriate, and it definitely won’t be the last. Senator Rand Paul urged Wednesday that those involved in funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s coronavirus ‘gain of function’ research cannot be allowed to be a part of investigations again.Appearing on Fox News, Paul said “Here’s the problem. The WHO investigated this the first time, we suggested three people to send to China. They rejected all three and they accepted a guy named Peter Daszak who was the one that funded the lab.”The Senator continued “So you can’t have the people—like Anthony Fauci or Peter Daszak—who are part of the funding mechanism to send these funds to Wuhan lab. You can’t have them investigating themselves.”

The US Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a Republican bid that had been backed by former President Donald Trump’s administration to invalidate the ObamaCare health care law, ruling that Texas and other challengers had no legal standing to file their lawsuit. The 7-2 ruling authored by liberal Justice Stephen Breyer did not decide broader legal questions raised in the case about whether a key provision in the law, which is formally called the Affordable Care Act, was unconstitutional and, if so, whether the rest of the statute should be struck down. The provision, called the “individual mandate,”

Did Anthony Fauci commit perjury when asked about gain of function research? The egotistical bureaucrat stated repeatedly that the $600,000 in taxpayer money that was directed to the Wuhan Institute of Virology was not geared towards gain of function research that makes viruses more lethal and transmissible to find ways to kill them before things get out of hand. EcoHealth Alliance formed the third part of this research triangle. In fact, its president thanks Fauci in newly obtained emails when he dispelled the lab leak theory that is increasingly looking like fact.

If Catholic politicians who support abortion rights were anxious about being restricted from receiving Holy Communion, they can breathe easier. Such a prohibition is now off the table at Thursday’s U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. “We are no longer proposing a national policy” regarding who may present themselves for Communion, Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Indiana’s Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese told delegates to a virtual USCCB spring meeting. Bishop Rhoades, who chairs the group’s doctrinal committee, conceded the notion “was in the original proposal” for the document, he added, “We never meant it as it’s been interpreted in many media sources.”

The U.S. Education Department on Wednesday expanded its interpretation of federal sex protections to include transgender and gay students, a move that reverses Trump-era policy and stands against proposals in many states to bar transgender girls from school sports. In a new policy directive, the department said discrimination based on a student’s sexual orientation or gender identity will be treated as a violation of Title IX, the 1972 federal law that protects against sex discrimination in education. The decision is based on last year’s landmark Supreme Court ruling protecting gay, lesbian and transgender people from discrimination in employment, according to agency officials.

How about a new class of minors being created for Central Americans who migrate to the United States? Joe Biden is doing just that in order to create more ways for Central Americans to legally come to the United States. In this case, the minors will board planes and fly right into the U.S., with the administration’s approval. Joe Biden and his administration are overwhelmed with the border crisis he created on the southern border. As we know, Biden doesn’t actually have any new ideas of his own and this decision is no different. He is bringing back a program initiated by Barack Obama in 2014.
